This place is a true gem. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable and at home. The energy in Muse cafe exudes friendly-you are welcome here. A really calm and peaceful vibe. There were several people sitting at the larger tables working on their computer. The sign behind these tables specifically says that they are for sharing. There are several blackboards of choices of the food on offer: from breakfast food to paninis, wraps, and home made cookies and pastries. We ordered at the counter, the man taking our order was really helpful. We chose a garden sandwich on multi grain bread. Really delicious. The bread was nicely toasted which was a nice touch. My wife ordered the lox sandwich that was also very good. My black coffee was delicious, fresh , flavorful and not bitter or acidic. My wife liked her latte a lot. We also ordered the almond croissant and a slice of banana bread. These were very tasty, with lots of flavor and most of all, they were not too sweet. Overall a great experience. Very nice neighborhood hangout. I met a friend there a couple of weeks ago in the late afternoon, and we had already had lunch, so we just shared a piece of (delicious) banana bread. Muse Cafe and Tea is the perfect gem. The French Toast is immaculate. I stayed in Park Slope for a couple of months this summer, and once I got a taste, I went back pretty much every morning. Very cute, unassuming cafe in Park Slope! Pretty spacious with many tables and 2 long communal table. Seems like a great study spot as well (not sure about the number of outlets). The owner and staff were very nice and pleasant and spoke with us for a little bite. We had a lox sandwich and a breakfast croissant sandwich. My friend liked her lox sandwich and stated that the lox wasn't too salty, which she loved. The croissant sandwich was great! My other friend got a chocolate croissant and really enjoyed it as well! Everything was reasonably priced (especially for the neighborhood). Would definitely come here again for a casual breakfast, coffee, or friend catch-up! Coming back to Muse on Yelp 3 years later to let you all know I still give them 5 stars. Muse is the cutest cafe in Park Slope IMO! The outdoor seating for summer is comfortable and a popular option for most. Too sweaty? The inside seating is a safe option as well. Yesterday I had the greek salad with chicken (a little pricey) and it was delicious. I was full for hours because it was a good size. Just wake up? Muse has delicious coffee, bagels, smoothies, and omelettes. It's afternoon? They have sandwiches, salads, wraps, and more. The smoothies are standard and you can customize to your liking. I ask for a peanut butter, strawberry and banana and it's always just sweet enough. The sandwiches are delicious and come with a small side salad. My favorite sandwich is the Pavo, a mustardy turkey and cheese sandwich that is just the right size. The owner is always present, keeps Muse immaculate, and takes great care of his customers. I'm so happy they stayed afloat during COVID. Muse is a Park Slope staple and is a favorite of the mayor and his wife. read more

This is my local. The food and service are always good! However, there is an especially fantastic food item that everyone should know about: their bagel and lox. I custom order it without arugula or capers, just: plain bagel, cream cheese, onion, tomato (which you must specify, as it is not normally included), and lox. There is some kind of inexplicable alchemy that happens here. George, the owner, has explained that they also add a bit of lemon dressing and extra virgin olive oil: the effect is spectacular. It subtly influences the already good lox and bagel, and the other fresh high quality ingredients, and metamorphosizes everything into a stratospheric culinary experience. It is one of the few things I've ever encountered that I could eat three, four, five? times a week. This place serves some of the best quality "cafe" breakfast in Brooklyn. The avocado toast is always so fresh and tasty, not bland like a lot of places. The side salads are always super fresh also and everything is really reasonably priced. The ambience is great -- it's a super quiet cafe and it's perfect to work/study at for a few hours. They have outdoor tables also which is really nice for good weather days. The only downfall to this place is that the tables aren't always cleaned as people leave -- the last few times I was there, I wiped down my own table with hand sanitizer and a napkin. It is usually only one person working behind the counter so I get that you can't be everywhere at one time. Besides that, i can't recommend this place enough. Their homemade pastries are wonderful, and they will warm them up for you upon request! They have super fluffy, buttery, flaky-on-the-outside croissants that have made me a happy weekend regular. FYI--they add a small to-go surcharge, so if you're not in a rush, grab a table and enjoy your coffee in one of their large, cozy mugs. My one gripe is the "no laptop" policy on the vast majority of the tables inside. They have designated two communal tables for laptop use. I understand the desire to create a certain atmosphere inside and make seating available, but when the place is pretty empty, I find it kinda annoying that they still enforce it. And the prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food/beverage you get! Very chill coffee and tea lounge with small bites like salad, sandwiches, pastries and smoothies. There is ample seating throughout and people working away on their laptops. I saw a few outlets available too. It looks like a coffee shop/mobile office, though there's a good rotation of folks. I was there for a good two.gours typing away on my laptop. It's still a coffee shop though, so there are some people taking calls on their cell phones and other folks who are meeting up to chat and catch up, but, it seems like if you get there early enough, it's a fairly quiet place for working/reading/writing and the like. I live close by and have the luxury of working remotely from time to time, so this little spot is definitely becoming a part of my rotation whenever I'm working in Brooklyn. I had the iced coffee while I was there, but the people around me were ordering an assortment of iced teas, which I must try on my next visit! Very cute coffee shop. For instance I purchased 2 salads and added protein for a decent premium and was disappointed with the amount of chicken provided in relation to the cost. Furthermore the containers used had 3 compartment vs. utilizing either a 1 compartment or proper salad container. I will return but encourage the owners to take note and make the necessary changes.
