We were on the hunt for a burger and we got a good one in this casual bar. I liked the atmosphere a lot, seemed friendly and not too fussy. Their burgers were huge, easily could have split one with my sister. The fries were thicc, crispy and perfectly cooked on the inside. But my favorite...were the wings. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. Next time I'd skip the burgers and stick to the wings. Does not come with any carrots or celery though. read more

Just a really fun Pub right in the middle of things. Directly across from the convention center, Omni and Marriott Courtyard. The weak point is Murphy's supports LFC, oh well lol. Good wings, habenero has some bite. Go to the deli sandwiches. They are fantastic. The Irish Poutine is fun (and tasty). Come grab a Guiness. read more

During our conference this was the place to hang out after hours or grab lunch... I am so glad Murphy's is across the street from the convention center. The lobster roll is delicious, especially with piping hot tots. I went back for dinner on my last night and got the fish and chips... I haven't had fish n chips that good in YEARS! I had the best time eating my fish while listening to the best tunes in a cooler than cool Irish pub. Our server took great care of use during our lobster roll lunch and the bartender took awesome care of me at the bar for dinner. I will definitely be back with a friend, family or an escape by myself. read more

Sat at the bar for lunch on a week day. The menu is very nice with a variety of salads, stuffed quahogs (local fare), Irish inspired dishes, wings, sandwiches, burgers and entrees. Pub style food. They also offer breakfast sandwiches, and lunch specials. The bartenders who helped us during our visit were all very friendly. The restaurant interior is dark wood, a variety of seating, high ceilings. Very comfortable and clean. We all enjoyed our meals. Although the presentation was not as glamorous as the website photos, they were still tasty and filling and we wouldn't hesitate to return. If you enjoy Irish pub atmosphere, friendly staff, local craft beer, and an eclectic menu, give Murphy's a try. read more

Great place a couple blocks from the Amica Center, nice crowd but we were able to get a table fairly quickly. I had the Bangers and Mash and that was a good combination (and something that fit in well with an Irish pub/grill). Nice sausages, mashed potatoes, fried onions and some gravy on top. Also had a nice broccoli and cornbread on the side. Good beer on tap too, a nice place to stop before watching a hockey game at the Amica Center. read more

We came here for lunch after not many other restaurants open. The place was pretty empty and we had our pick of tables. We ordered lobster rolls since it was our last day on the vacation and the waitress told us they "really stuffed them". $34 per roll later (plus extra for a gluten free roll) they barely had any filling in them. Disappointing. The lobster was fine but hardly any chunks at all. My bigger complaint was that I ordered a gluten free roll and side salad no croutons to ensure that my meal was safe. When the order came, the chef left the croutons on the salad. In my opinion if someone orders a gluten free roll and states that they have an allergy, it should be common sense to leave out the croutons. read more

I was in town for business so I only stopped in for takeout. The burger was slightly undercooked but nothing drastic. I ordered medium, it was medium rare. I was still pleased with the results, a tasty burger. The fries were great too. It's a cool looking historic tavern. Hope to be able to come back to enjoy a beer next time. read more

This review is solely based off of the Irish breakfast, we got here around 9:30 am on a Sunday in the hopes of grabbing a proper full Irish. Server was pleasant bartender was pleasant which is mainly why this is not a one star review. We got our food and both black and white pudding was barely cooked, beans were what i could only describe as brown beans in water not proper Heinz Beans and they came out ice cold not even a bit warm. rashers were cooked to the point of it being like American bacon and was a bit worried to eat them because they were this off white color, bangers were the only thing that were decent on the plate the home fries were borderline raw potatoes crunched in an undercooked potatoes type of way. Ordered eggs over medium they came out runny like a sunny side egg, Just overall disappointed, if it were just these mistakes were made completely understand but we were the first and only customers in there so just poor kitchen oversight is what this sums up to, Hoping the owner is actually Irish and sees this and takes a look at what's being served as an "Irish breakfast" . I visited Murphy's on a Sunday afternoon to watch some football and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is a cozy Irish pub with plenty of TV screens - no need to crane your neck to catch the game you want to see. It's seat yourself so we were able to snag a booth directly in front of a huge projected bills v eagles game. It was a little chilly due to the proximity to exit door but that's not their fault. Service was fast, attentive and polite. We were hoping to find some game time apps but the menu was a bit lacking there - good entree selection though. The food was great - I had the smokehouse and was bowled over by how flavorful it was. My sister's eggplant parm was huge and also good. Would visit again! read more

Okie, so I read the reviews but was not sure they got it right with the negatives. Thank God, we dismissed them. This place was so friendly and fun and the food was fantastic! Had the chicken and gravy was delish! My wife's portobello was so wonderful, she is still talking about it.. Try the New Yorker too! Washed it down with a Stella and I am good for all my Providence travels!!! Ally was very friendly and her suggestions were on point! read more

We came at 12:45 on a Saturday and it was pretty slow. It looked like each server had 2-4 tables. Our food was great. We had the Luna and a Caesar salad. The sandwich was excellent and we will be coming back for it. The service was subpar. Rachel was our server, she dropped off menus without asking for drinks, once our food was in she was pretty MIA. We ran out of drinks and I tried to catch her attention for over 10 minutes. She was standing at the entrance to the back talking with another server and didn't come to our table. I finally went to the bar and ask another server to refill our drinks, which she did. Our server came back to check on us and I was going to ask for another item and before I could she said "oh you are good" and walked away. Definitely disappointed with the service, i would totally understand if they were busy and she was in the weeds, but it was especially frustrating to see our server just talking. read more

Great late night spot for bar food and drinks. We went after midnight and were able to enjoy the poutine and Reuben egg rolls. Drinks were fairly priced and staff were great. Only downside was the area was a little dicey. Maybe that's just the case for all of downtown providence read more

We had a great experience at Murphy's. We decided to take advantage of their Happy Hour and got the nachos and chicken tenders for half price. The draft beer was only $3. The food was really good. The tender were very crunchy and well seasoned. We got the teriyaki and honey mustard sauces, the latter we liked, the former not so much. The nachos had a Guinness chili topping on it and it was very filling and tasty. Candiss was our bartender/ server and she was full of warmth, smiles and fun conversation! I would highly recommend this to eating and experiencing an Irish pub look and feel! Whitney was fantastic as our server and very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the lobster roll (delicious) along with a grilled chicken Caesar wrap (full of flavor and s good dressing) and a Chef Salad (a very large portion)!! Loved this place! After finding out the place I wanted to go was closed & driving around for 45 minutes we finally asked the valley at the Graduate (also an amazing hotel) where to go & he recommended Murphy's which was just a short walk from the hotel. We had a stuffed clam (forgot the name) which was yummy & like stuffing! We also had a Ruben & another sandwich. Both were sooo good. My daughter who "wasn't hungry" finished hers off!! The best part of Murphy's was talking to our waitress, Elaine!! She was friendly & outgoing. I would've talk to her all night. She gave us wonderful suggestions for the rest of our trip. I usually get the same servers every time, which is nice because it's consistent and they are both very attentive, and they also sing the karaoke songs which I love . The food is reasonably priced they make a lot of stuff from scratch. You can find some of their from scratch items or new menus on Instagram, which I also follow. They also do other themed nights throughout the week. The parking lot is a little smaller, but it's enough. There's also on street parking both in front and on the side streets nearby. The food is always consistent. I've had a lot of stuff on the menu. It's good.

The beef bibimbap was fresh and well-balanced with plenty of vegetables, tender beef, and a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. Mixing everything together with the sauce made every bite so satisfying. My fiancé loved the kalbi ssam--the short ribs were tender and flavorful, and wrapping everything in the fresh lettuce with the sides made for an awesome meal. What really stood out was how comforting everything felt. As fellow Asians (though not Korean), the food gave us that warm, homey feeling that good Asian comfort food should. The banchan and soup were a great touch, and the portions were generous. This is easily some of the best Korean food we've had so far, and we'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. I loved the cream and gold aesthetics, as well as the cool art on the ceiling. They have a variety of seating areas including tables inside and outside as well as highchairs around the open kitchen and highchairs wrapping around the brick oven which is where we sat. We were warned that it does get very toasty, but it wasn't anything unbearable. My friend comes here often, so he noticed that they've made big changes to their menu. He highly recommended the crudo; it can either be ordered a la carte ($14 per fish serving) or one of each as a platter. I chose to try the black bass and bluefin tuna. We also ordered wood roasted sesame focaccia to eat with the crudo and the cacio and Pepe we ordered. Lastly, we ordered a Kohlrabi Caesar salad which comes with Boston blackened boquerones, croutons, and parmiagano. The food came out at different moments but we ate the salad, bread, and crudo together and saved the pasta for last. The crudo was very fresh and decent serving size. It seemed to only be topped with olive oil and salt, but that was enough to amplify the flavor. The focaccia was soft, easy to tear apart, warm, perfectly crispy/toasted, and every millimeter of the focaccia was covered in sesame seeds. It comes with olive oil to dip in. The salad was unique. I have never had kohlrabi before but it was similar to broccoli stems in its firmness, but not as sweet. It was not drowned in dressing which I was happy about, and has a good amount of parmesan cheese. I could taste the crunchy croutons which added an additional crunch along with the kohlrabi. I have never had boquerones before so I wasn't sure which flavor to look out for. The cacio and Pepe was okay. It was a little bland, but since it was my first time having it, I was not sure what to expect. The spaghetti was cooked a little under al dente and the sauce was a lower viscosity than I imagined. My friend had a drink and all together, our bill was close to $100 which is not too bad. The plates look small (about 6-8" in diameter), but the food is filling. I decided to check out the website for fun and I love the octopus art and that it's easy to navigate. The staff was very friendly and made us feel important and taken care of.

Walking through the restaurant to get to our table made me realize that each table is unique, no two are decorated the same or have the same furniture. It was a hot day but the overhead mesh cover blocked out a lot of the sun. Our waitress made us feel very welcome from the start and told us about their drink and food specials. My friend ordered Guatemalan beer as well as a Spanish beer. For food, we ordered the plantain fries, octopus, calamari, and shrimp salad, and grilled lamp chops. The seafood salad came out first. According to the menu, it was going to be paired with cornbread. It looked like sourdough bread but had a far denser consistency. I was expecting the salad to have lots of shrimp to act as a filler but surprisingly, it was about 60% octopus, 25% calamari, 10% shrimp, and 5% onions. The seafood was very flavorful, tasted fresh, and cooked perfectly. The portion size was great for two. Next came the plantain fries, which I was least impressed with as it was essentially fried plantain chunks. I think it would have been better if they were cut into smaller pieces that can be easily dipped and consumed in one bite. The plantain was gently ripe, so just a little sweet and the dipping sauce was like a less sour sour cream. Lastly, the lamp chops came out and the presentation was wonderful. They were a bit skinnier and less tender than that I was expecting, but flavor wise they were good. We enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service here.
