Vegetable quesadilla's
Brian R.

I was looking for a vegan or vegetarian option so I figured I would check them out to see what they have. I tried calling but nobody answered the phone. It's a small place that does mostly take out and gets busy. There's a few spots for you to sit and eat. I tried the vegetable quesadillas and they were pretty good. Putting black beans in them was a little weird but whatever. I can appreciate that the are using aluminum containers that are 100% recyclable but I'm not a fan of all this plastic. This plastic isn't recyclable and will end up being incinerated, take up space in our landfills or in our water. I won't be going back because I don't think having a meal should introduce all this junk into our environment. There are alternative containers and utensils. Maybe I'll go back and try their vegetable tacos if I can get them without the plastic.

Munchy's - appropriately named because this place is a godsend for those with the munchies. Their menu is huuuge and diverse, from milkshakes to burritos to breakfast & fat sandwiches they literally have it all. Same thing goes for their candy/chips and drink selection. They even had their own brand of birch beer and lemonade. They had drinks I forgot existed. I really enjoyed the curly fries and side of nuggets. Both were super crispy. Their Buffalo sauce was also perfect, like I wanted a tub full of it after. My bf really liked his chicken parm sub, it was a good portion for a pretty good price. Come thru - you will not be disappointed!

Saw they had a macaroni & cheese quesadilla. I said I'm in. Was a little skeptical about it but SOLD. Also a lot of places don't have pastrami but today was the day. Nice hot sandwich. Definitely if have "MUNCHIES" or just a little hungry they got something for you....

I am happy they use "real" cheese for their french fries and cheesesteaks. I asked for a cheesesteak sandwich with provolone, peppers, mushrooms, and onions. Side order of french fries with bacon and cheese. They brew fresh coffee too. This is a place I imagine Anthony Bourdain would have enjoyed. Get in my belly!!

Usually I have a number of stars in mind when I start my review. This time, I'm going to write and see what happens. Munchy's is a fat sandwich joint, but it's also a neighborhood comfort food joint dating back before fat sandwiches were things. They still have other food like wings and regular sandwiches, as if anyone cares about regular sandwiches. I think I ended up with the Royal Flush. I just knew that I wanted a large quantity of hot fat food, and I got plenty of it piled up in two foil-wrapped halves. I did not wait. I ripped right in, and got that rush of average quality foods of all different varieties in my mouth. Nothing exceptional here, but perhaps a half-step better than Fatty's in Morristown. I think Munchy's has a few things going for it: homegrown character over 30 years of existence, much wider variety than just the fat stuff, food is cooked up fresh on the griddle (is that the right term?), and very customizable. On the other hand, it's not cheap, although you do get a good portion. My friend enjoyed his bacon cheeseburger well enough. So I'm at about 3.5 stars, which is right where Munchy's is averaging on Yelp. Let's go to the tiebreaker - the disco fries. Beef gravy seemed a little on the cheap side, and the cheese was American. American cheese?! No. No no no. Okay, 3 stars it is, but that's a close one. I could see myself back here again.

Oh my oh my this philly cheesesteak is so good. It's a small place you order inside and wait in there outside sitting. Really down to earth guys with some serious hustle.

Snagged some take out here while visiting my partner's family. It's a cute joint, the food is good (the sandwiches were better the next day!) and the service was quick and friendly. We tried mozzarella sticks (yum), curly fries, and a few of the hot sandwiches. Give it a go!

I of course used Yelp to find a good diner on my drive from New Brunswick to Atlantic City. I found Broad Street located in Keyport not far from the Garden State Parkway. It's your "classic" diner which has that 1950's vibe with the exterior and interior decor. Elvis paraphernalia is featured here. They had a busy lunch crowd. I sat at the counter and ordered a McCaffrey Wrap which comes with grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and honey mustard. It was really good. The side of sweet potato fries were crispy and seasoned just right. The staff were courteous and the service quick. There is a small parking lot that can accommodate about five cars. There was plenty of on street parking. The downtown area was nice and you can take a nice walk after dining here to the waterfront.

Parking is also highly convenient. The menu is extensive and I can't wait to go back to try everything they have. There are the classic breakfast items of course, but they also have some innovative dishes or familiar dishes with a spin. I ordered the jerk chicken pasta which was spicy, so flavorful and also a great portion size. Others in our party ordered pancakes, which were so fluffy, eggs, fried chicken, fried catfish and more. Everything was fried to perfection and the catfish tasted like it had literally just jumped out of the ocean. Our waiter was super nice and we had a big party so I'm sure it wasn't easy. My only suggestion is that they make their hot drinks hotter. Other than that, I'd seriously come back every weekend.

READ FULL REVIEW!!!…read more March 2026: First time at this establishment was just ok. Hosted a very small get-together here (5 guest). Atmosphere was nice. Music was wayy too loud to hear the person you're sitting next to. Food was tasty and fresh. Coffee was good with great creamer selection (at the time). Our server was my least favorite part of this experience. He was over the top with his energy and upscale tactics (pushy with getting us to order extra drinks and appetizers despite declining). I was hosting this event and did not need him selling us after already being told "no, thank you" twice. It was awkward and ultimately changed the vibe. He hardly checked on us after that encounter and we constantly had to remind them about request that were never brought out to the table. Staff needs to be trained better. This was just an ok experience. April 2026 : What ultimately lead me to write this review was my 2nd experience at this diner. The server was a lot better than our first experience, but we did run into a few too many problems. First, we ordered coffee and are informed that per managements request, we can only have half-half or cream with our coffee. Previously they had French vanilla creamers and other flavored creamers but I guess management decided to save on the additional cost. This was a bummer especially realizing that they could easily afford creamers. This restaurant easily pulls at least $150,000 per week in revenue, so I didn't understand cheapening out like that. I still ordered the coffee. When it came to the table I added the cream into the cup only to find something floating in the coffee. I send it back and ask for a new cup, which the server politely provided. We order our meals and all goes well. Eventually two of the three meals come out and we wait for the final plate to come out. It's common courtesy to wait for everyone to have their meal before eating, so we wait. We wait about 6-7 minutes and the final plate comes out only for it to be cold. All of us ordered breakfast, so you can imagine trying to eat cold egg, potato, and sausage. We ask for the waiter, but before he could get to us the manager passes by and we let him know the issue. He takes the plate to the back and about two minutes later he comes back with the same exact plate. Before the manager arrived to take the plate away, I saw the guest split the egg half and add black pepper on everything so we knew it was the same plate and food she started eating off of that was reheated onto the kitchen grill where other food is being prepared for guest. The manager informs us that he had the chef heat the food up on the griddle and that it should be a perfect temperature. We refuse to accept the plate because it was reheated and not remade entirely. We were shocked that this was the solution even being offered. Reheating food on the griddle seemed unsafe (contamination risk, diseases, illness, etc) and offensive. No one pays these prices to have reheated breakfast served to them. I could've just made that at home for a fraction of the price. We politely refuse the reheated plate and he apologized and took the plate to the back. The server comes over to see what the issue is and we explain everything. He says that he will look into it and take that meal off the bill. Now I'm frustrated because one out of the three of us aren't eating anything and the experience was off. At this point, I'm not eating my meal but the 3rd guest is eating. So the guest who sent their plate back and myself are waiting for the 3rd guest to finish their pancakes. He ordered a stack of 4-5 chocolate chip pancakes and was happily eating away at layer by layer. Eventually he gets to the last 2 pancakes and before he adds syrup he notices what appeared to be an eyelash or short piece of hair imbedded in the pancake. Picture of the clearly imbedded hair included with this review. He immediately stopped eating and looks sick. He had already eaten 3-4 pancakes by then and the idea that he ate more of whatever that was felt unnerving, to say the least. We both start looking to see what he's looking at and long behold the hair was there. At this point we are extremely frustrated and completely over this experience. Management did not make this experience right even after addressing all of these issues both separately and together. I felt like my money was not valued and my business certainly wasn't. They did nothing to remedy these issues and I will NOT be going back to this establishment. This restaurant may look visually beautiful but the service is not. Staff needs more training, music needs to be turned down, chefs need to wear hairnets and everyone needs to follow safe food handling skills. You're putting your guest and your business at risk ignoring these issues. I really really wish I had a better experience.

It was very clean, with music perfectly paired to the already present atmosphere. The staff were some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. They all greeted us with a warm smile. We started off with two Chai Lattes: one with whole milk and one with almond milk. The presentation of these lattes was top tier; definitely worth the minor wait. They also tasted even better than they looked. For our brunch, we had gotten some chips and guacamole to start. For our entrees we shared a couple of plates: the body builder omelette with hash browns and a side of white toast, a side of beef sausage, and the French Toast (topped with Pineapple chutney with vanilla glaze and strawberries) with scrambled eggs, cheese and bacon. All of the food was presented beautifully and tasted even better, just like the Chai Latte. The portions were large considering the affordable cost, and it all came out in a timely manner. Aside from the atmosphere and food, the one thing that stood out here was the customer service. Our waiter (I think his name is Wil) was very accommodating and helpful. We had an issue with their machine when trying to pay and Wil handled it quickly and professionally. Even if we didn't have that issue, the entire customer experience was great, and you could tell from the faces of the other tables that they shared our experience. For all that, they get a well deserved 5/5. I would highly recommend checking out the West Side Diner if you want to try out a cozy breakfast/brunch spot that won't break the bank.
