They came out to my house yesterday, referred by a very decent locksmith who I believed would refer another decent business, and charged me $144 to spend less than 15 minutes and to basically put a glob of grease into the lock so the key would work. Instead of being human and honest about the minimal work necessary and then prorating the cost, they charged $95 for a hour plus a $50 trip fee, and then didn't issue a proper receipt. That price was a least 50 percent greater than a handful of other locksmiths quoted for the same trip and not the experience I would have gotten and have gotten in the past from the referring locksmith, Gabriel Lock and Key. They also did not give their fee up front and charged it last minute. I would stay away from this one in the future. (My fault for not putting the grease in myself. Lesson learned. Also I learned that Mul-t-locks are often faulty like this after some amount of time, fyi.) UPDATE: The "facts" from this owner are wrong. The owner did not give rates over the phone, so that means that that was not standard, and it was an overpriced surprise. And more importantly, his technician replaced nothing. Also: to date, no receipt or invoice was emailed or sent, despite promises of that or standard business practice. Avoid this business. read more

I lost my keys next to my house, my car was stolen as a result (but I got it back the next day, thankfully!) my sense of security was shot, knowing that some random people had my house keys and car keys. I had the privilege of having Noam help me with rekeying my car locks and house locks. He was very professional and easy going. I told him that I could not afford to pay to have my passenger car door re keyed, I asked him if he could somehow disable the lock from ever being used. He told me that he would rather fix all of the locks on my car than to just fix the ignition, driver door, and trunk lock. So he offered me a discount. Long story short Noam was very reliable, professional, and had very reasonable prices. I would definitely use this service if I ever need a locksmith. I am a client of Multi Locksmith since 7-18-2012 That is when i first called Multi Locksmith and they referred Weitzen Locksmiths from El Cerrito for the service call. I had Mul-t-lock installed in my home and cost me 1,560.73 in 2/2020 One of the latches of my door needed to be replaced , Once again i called Multi locksmith for the service , I learned that Weitzen Locksmiths that originaly installed the Mul-t-lock is not in service anymore . Multi Locksmith made me a appointment for the service of my door latch . That appoinment was cancelled by Multi Locksmith. I rescheduled the appointment , they sent a technician , i was told by the technician that he would have to order the part , I waited a couple of weeks then i called the technician . The technician told me that the latch had came in the day before , I had the technician come to my home to install the latch , the latch was not the right fit also the latch was not Mul-t-lock , The technician told me he would have to reorder the latch. Two days later the door would not open anymore , I called Multi Locksmith again and asked if i could replace the whole door knob with new Mul-t-lock and was told they only carry Mul-t-Lock Deadbolts and not door knobs , I sitll had a technician come out to open my door and he replaced the latch , but it was not Mul-t-lock & paid $160.00 for the service , I doubt that anyone ever orderd the right part for the service. read more

DO NOT CALL MULTI LOCKSMITH UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE HELD HOSTAGE AND HIT UP FOR CASH PAYMENT!! I called them to have a lock on a business repaired. The locks had been broken due to a burglary and the door unusable. Noam was able to come the same day late in the afternoon, but he did not have any logo or documentation on the truck (like the ones so nicely displayed on their website), we asked to confirm the license and he became very irate. He then demanded a cash payment and told us we would get a discount if we paid cash. When we declined cash payment since this was a business and needed documentation for insurance purposes, he got irate. We had a metal plate installed with the lock and the cuts on the metal plate were so jagged and rough that we had customers coming in complain. We asked him to smooth the cuts out and he became irate and THREATENED TO REMOVE THE LOCKS AND LEAVE SO THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER EMERGENCY LOCKSMITH!! How's that for customer service?! Finally one of our customers who is an attorney and who witnessed the events unfolding took pity on us and dealt with Noam and he finally came out to finish the job. Unfortunately, we selected him due to generous Yelp ratings, but it looks like from the reviews, unless you have a simple job and cash payment, I would suggest you find someone more reputable and save yourself the trouble. Don't bother replying Multi Locksmith unless you want to refund me in cash. read more

Apparently this is a service that contracts with different locksmiths in the area. I had no inkling of how the business was run; I just needed a locksmith because my car key had broken off inside the door lock and there was no way I could get it out. Oh and did I mention the sun was going down and I had to move my car from the parking lot where I was stuck? I was contemplating having the car towed but I'm glad I didn't. I called Multi Locksmith and about half an hour later a guy named Tommy showed up. I had to wait a bit because it was rush hour but it was no big deal. Given the rush hour traffic, he got there pretty fast. Well, long story short, Tommy had that broken key out in less than sixty seconds and I was on my way. I believe you get what you pay for and their service was top notch from beginning to end. Tommy was a real pro and he made it look easy believe me. I just bought a home and when I used the key for the first time to enter the house, I was left holding the door handle in my hand. I called my agent and I was lucky they have an account with these guys. I was even more lucky that Jason was my guy! He was EXTREMELY thorough and he explained all my options. I went with the best lock bc realistically you can never be too careful. I mean this lock was the superman of all locks. WE LOVE IT and with a lil one and one on the way I just feel much more safe! I would add more stars if I could. Devin really went out of his way to please the customer who was my non english speaking 80 year old next door neighbor who locked herself out. A simple residential job turned out to be a 2 hour ordeal because of her stubbornness and lack of comprehension of the situation. Devin was calm and patient the whole way even though he lost out on other jobs since my neighbor was being difficult and refuse to let him do his job properly. Even after all that and replacing the old lock with a new one, he went over everything until she was 100% satisfied. If I were in his shoes, I would have lost it a long time before then (she basically questioned and criticized every step of the way even though it was clear to me that he knew what he was doing). It's refreshing to see in this day and age where its hard to find people that go above and beyond expectations that people like Devin still exist. Steering wheel locked up and key would not turn. AAA could not find a mobile repair that would touch my ignition. My car repair shop called these guys for me, and they were out to the minute when they said they would be there. Tommy cut a new key to test the ignition and see if he needed to go into it. These guys are fantastic. Our building was broken into and they were able to come over within 1 hour of my calling them and we are on the other side of the Bay from them. Noam is amazing--a consummate professional. He worked tirelessly to make sure that the job was done right--even though we kept changing our minds about all of the locks we needed re-keyed. He spent two full days on the job and deeply discounted his time off the bill. We had about 10 doors that needed to either be re-keyed or secured with better dead bolts and 'anti crowbar' guards.
