Bryan fixed my Singer by replacing two badly worn gears as well as cleaning and oiling moving parts. It works like new.

It's nearing the end of the year and I felt it again necessary to update my original review…read more The assortment of fabric is constantly changing and this makes it really fun to shop regularly. They have Moda fabric as well as a selection from well known designers such as Kaffe Fassett. Another store I go to locally, only carries a small selection of Moda, so I hit up 35th Ave Sew and Vac when I want the Moda brand. Sign up for their newsletter! You'll receive a newsletter each Sunday and it's valuable because there is a coupon for 30% an item. I typically use it for fabric. Saving 30% on quality fabric is a big plus. Also, there is typically an area of sale fabric. Today the sale area was 40% off. Check it out. The employees are friendly. I was greeted when I entered. I'm not the kind of person who needs a greeting when I enter but it's a nice touch. I've always been helped when I need it. Don't be afraid to ask for help. I've even asked the employees on their opinion on thread choice for a quilting my quilt top. They have always been courteous and professional. Last, the shopping center they are located in, has come alive in the past year or so. Goodwill opened a new store next door, there is a new Baja Fresh and a Starbucks in the same center which has livened up the scene. Parking is still very easy.

I bought a Pfaff sewing machine in 2020 ($2,500.00) from them and every year brought it in for…read moreservice. The servicing ALWAYS took 6 weeks!! My machine never worked correctly even after servicing. I did have them try again and it was 2 weeks. Again, it did not work correctly. My husband then went on multiple websites and talked to reps and found that the computer part of the machine was last updated in 2018!!! The racing of my sewing machine and then eedle threader never working was never repaired. The repair prices went up to $175.00!! I tried to tell this shop that their repair people did not know what they were doing and I was brushed off!!! No one should have to fo 6 weeks , thennot even have anything done. Also sometimes racing is caused by the foot peddle, which the repair people do not test!!

I had sent a question in via the website and received a helpful and friendly response same day. I…read morewas in the area later so stopped by to check it out. I'm pretty new to fabric arts but excited about all the future projects! SAS had SO much stuff. All kinds of fabrics from fake fur to satiny-y types. And all the bits to fancy things up, sparkly trim and buttons and things like that.n The staff were friendly to me and helpful and I heard them interacting with others in a friendly way. I look forward to getting supplies here as I learn how to make things! Parking was easy as well.

It was my very first time at this store and I was humiliated by the staff. Was in yesterday…read more(Saturday) and they were fairly busy. As I was browsing through the sections, I noticed a v long line for cutting (about 12 people) and 4 staff working the cutting counter. I found a piece of cut fabric which I really liked but couldn't tell how much it cost. The price signs were inconsistent. There was no help on the floor. I made my way through the line to pay and told the cashier i didn't know how much it was but I wanted the whole thing. I told her I had a tape measure and was told I would have to go wait into the line for cutting to have it measured. The young woman had a whole lot of condescension in her tone and zero amount of helpfulness. It was my first time there and I was embarrassed by the staff with their attitude in front of the long line of customers waiting behind me. I actually heard some laughter. It was almost like she was a bully.

You get to choose your color from a list and note it when you register on their website. It was $85 before tax and came with 5 skeins of yarn, with the option to add more (I think for an additional $15). I also put in the notes on my registration the names of my friends so that we could sit together. The workshop was at 6pm on a Friday and lasted about two hours. There was my group of three and three others, plus the owner/instructor Lauren. Her instructions were easy to follow, and she would jump in if we needed help. I made a few errors, and she was able to fix them for me. I ended up making my loops too loose on the outside and too tight on the inside, so my blanket came out a bit small. But I think it was decent for my first attempt. It's so soft. I keep it on my couch to use as a lap blanket. We all had a great time and would definitely come back to try other workshops. My coworker had tried one of the resin workshops and really liked it too.
