I'm giving 5 stars on the service and 4 on the food. Our party of 4, for the most part, had solid meals. One person in our party had the primavera in tomato sauce - just so-so. Noodles were cold and overcooked. The rest of the entrees were tasty. Good garlic bread and a very good flourless chocolate cake for dessert. The highlight here was our service. We just finished our visit on 4/20/23 after not having been back for over 10 years due to general life stuff. They sat us 5 minutes early, took our drink orders, and brought us a basket of hot rolls and olive oil to dip in. We're so glad we did and can say that it has only gotten better over time. We had 3 different dishes between us, and each was delicious and perfectly done. We found the prices to be really reasonable when compared to other restaurants, especially considering you're getting gourmet level food. GO! Ice boy been here once but definitely will return. I got their chicken piccata. I make this dish regularly at home. I would say that their chicken was tender, the sauce was very flavorful and it wasnt too watery. Their salad was delicious as well!! Mulino's is the best Italian restaurant in Northampton! Their pounded chicken parmigiana is absolutely delicious! There pasta dishes are the best I have had in Western Massachusetts! The tiger shrimp pasta is absolutely delicious and filling. The service is great, they are very kind! The inside feels like an old restaurant / bar. I never have to wait more than five minutes to be seated. I love the food and ambiance of this place! I definitely recommend going here if you're around the area! read more

We had a very nice waiter who was helpful and our apps were very good_ garlic bread, blue crab ravioli , Caesar's salad , but my fra diavolo sauce was just ok and my crème brûlée was not that good. It's also really hard to find parking in the area. read more

I'd normally provide a much better review for Mulino's as we go often and have always had a positive experience. However, our service today was questionable to say the least. Our reservations were upon opening and we were seated next to the window. We asked if it would be getting warmer inside considering they had just opened and our waitress' response was, "it is warm in here. But our handicap bathroom is usually pretty warm right about now." In addition, we asked if our to-gos were labeled and her response was, "no but you should be able to figure it out." We were astonished at the customer service and very much turned off by this experience. read more

My fiance and I had such a wonderful time last night eating at Mulino's. I'll have to agree 100% that this is one of the best Italian places around Noho/Amherst area. And holy moly, they're super affordable too - don't worry about breaking the bank over some shrimp scampi. Expect to pay about $17. Last night though, my fiance and I ordered off of their daily classics menu ($10.99 a plate!!! from Sunday to Wednesday) and the quality of the meal was fantastic. Just because you're paying less doesn't mean that the restaurant skimps on quality - expect to get an awesome meal! We ordered a chicken parmesan with spaghetti and a chicken romano. Both were amazing! The restaurant is pretty dim lit and they play some pretty light/fun music in the background. Our hostess and waitress were wonderful and accommodated us every step of the way. Waters were refilled frequently without asking. And the check came quick once they noticed we were done eating (I know some people don't like the haste but we appreciate it, knowing that we're done but can essentially leave any time after). Parking is tricky because it seems like it's only either street parking or the pay by plate parking nearby. We didn't have any troubles with that because we came in the late evening, past 8pm, so parking was free. Make sure you do your research and scope out any parking sites before you come if you know that that's an issue. We were there at the end of July ( 27th or 28th, I think) with a group of 7. The food was spectacular as it always is, but something else happened that is noteworthy. One of our party put the total on her credit card, and we all gave her cash. She paid with her card, AND ACCIDENTALLY LEFT THE CASH! A waitress and our waiter came running out of the building and caught up with us on the street to return the envelope with the money! Wow. Impressive. read more

4.5 if I could be it either 4 or 5 We have crazy Alfredo pasta with chicken and shrimp, it comes sausage but we got it without. It was fantastic! We got a Caesar salad and it was delicious. We have been going to mulinos since we moved to NoHo during the pandemic and it's always a great experience. Volkan , the owner , is always welcoming and making sure everything is on point. Food is simple and delicious and fairly priced , and we find mulinos to be a great spot for any occasion. I Highly recommend the Ravioli either as a starter or a Maine course. It never disappoints. We ate on the patio Friday night. It was so nice to be able to soak up one of the last warmer nights and sit outside. Our waitress was great. Attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. We started with the fried mozzarella. It was different (meat sauce inside) but good. The carbonara pasta was great. While the food was excellent and our server was wonderful, there had to be a problem with taking too many reservations. We waited in a very crowded lobby for a long time with a hostess who was doing her best but it was crowd control. I'm sure it had something to do with online and call in reservations. I went here the other night and had a great meal. Since it is an Italian place and I love Italian food I ordered some of my favorite dishes to compare to other Italian restaurants (about a thousand!) I have been to. Mulinos compares well. I had the Caprese salad which might have been the weakest of my courses.. but still it was good. The tomatoes were just OK (as they are still out of season) the cheese good but there was too much balsamic vinegar in the dressing they made. My entree of Chicken Francaise was great. The chicken was a little thicker than what I would have used (prefer the pounded style for this dish) but the taste was bellissimo and near perfection, The capers, lemon, egg & flour batter were really, really well done. Last I had a Tiramisu which besides being enormous ( I was disciplined and took 1/2 home) stood up to some of the best I have had. I took pictures of all and posted.... Atmosphere was nice and they have some outdoor seating for good weather. Service was very good and I had an especially attentive waitress. Prices were what you would expect and value was delivered. Nothing wrong with service at all, but the food was flavorless and instantly gave a stomachache. I ordered the penne Giuseppe and it had no flavor, was completely underwhelming. My father ordered the mussels and they instantly made him sick. They smelt poorly, and tasted even worse :( we have come to this spot for many years and noticed that it had been declining. The menu even seemed way smaller than it used to be. For the price, not worth it at all unfortunately. Left feeling sad and robbed. read more

Love this place! I had never been here before but we went for my friends 19th birthday! Food was like 8.5 out of 10!!! Portions were great, some meat in dishes lacked some flavor but overall taste was good! Definitely recommend the penne alla vodka and the bruschetta! Also prices were very fair for the food we got. Love the food here. The complimentary home made warm rolls are delicious, and then we usually split the warm goat cheese and apple salad as it's huge. Followed by the fettuccine pescatore. This is the best pasta dish we've had anywhere. Seared scallops and shrimp over pasta in an amazing sauce. The Gorgonzola pasta and steaks were great as well. The pasta a la vodka was a big disappointment though. Expected this place to get this right but it doesn't have great flavor. It's missing some cream sauce, and is very heavy on the tomato and a bit dry. Everything else was perfect!! read more

Mulinos is my girlfriend and I's absolute favorite Italian restaurant in the area. The atmosphere is great, our service has always been prompt and our food is amazing every time! My girlfriend loves the Fettucine Pescatore which usually has some pretty big scallops. My favorite dish is the Conchiglie Di Cognac which is really tasty and the Pappardelle Bolognese is my close second favorite. The Calamari Fritti is delicious too, the spicy devil sauce is the best! Definitely try to make a reservation is it's a peak time on Friday or Saturday as it can get busy. Overall, this place gets my vote for best Italian in the area!
