The Manager AMANDA always gave the BEST in Customer Service. Amanda was always prompt to answer my call and to answer any questions. She proved to be personable and efficient! Even by phone I knew she was smiling, and loves what she does. She is a wonderful person and a an asset to Alamo Storage Company! My worries were few as the unit was Climate Controlled, regularly Pest Controlled and the property always kept clean and secured. The Security System is excellent and I never had an issue whatsoever! During the 10 years I had NO bad experience, none of my valuables were damaged or even dusty since the area is maintained as it has been. As far as the value, it was the most affordable anywhere. I appreciate that even after my 10 years I still paid half what I would pay in other states! Again, Amanda is manager of the N. Buckner location and it was a pleasure doing business-having my HHG and valuable items stored without worry under her good care.

They are liars. I purchased some mattress protectors. The cashier assured me they can be…read morereturned. My moving company provided mattress boxes so two days later, I went to return. The owner, Jennifer Martin, said they were not returnable. BUT she was so kind as to keep them and said she'd work out something with the owners (she is actually the owner U-Haul said but they are inveterate liars there at Skillman Storage). Long story short: she said she got the approval for a refund and said she had processed it. Well, she had not. So she kept the merchandise and also the money. They are thieves. When I found out what happened, she first said U-Haul screwed up and she'd look into it. Now, she keeps saying she's going to refund the money and even said she sent a check. Nope, never got it. Avoid this place. You just never know if they're going to overcharge your credit card and you'll be out of the area to do anything about it. Their BBB ratings are bad, too. And she wouldn't respond to my complaint through them. Avoid.

Amazing customer service from Barbara!…read more I've been renting a storage unit at The Attic Self Storage, and I just want to take a moment to recognize Barbara for always being so kind, patient, and helpful. Every time I've needed assistance, she has gone out of her way to help me and has always treated me with respect and understanding. Even during times when things weren't easy for me, Barbara was always sweet and willing to work with me. She never made me feel uncomfortable or judged, and that really meant a lot to me. I'm actually moving out of my unit now, but I definitely wanted to leave a review because Barbara is truly one of those people who makes a difference in a customer's experience.
