Note, the reservation was advertised as free and the promotion was first month free. I went to their office 31 December to complete their request. They assigned my unit and gave me the keys even though my reservation wasn't until January 4. They took payment of $70.00 noting it was the administrative fee and for the lock. January 2 I had trouble lining up a moving truck and help with moving so I made room in my garage. No longer needing the storage space. I called to cancel my reservation and requested a refund Since I had never accessed my unit nor had the date I reserved arrived. The person I spoke with said I would not be entitled to a refund. I requested to speak with a manager. I ended up back in the call queue only to get a voicemail. I left a message. No call back to date. I stopped by the office twice today, 1030 and 12n, but the office was locked. I tried calling again but was on hold for over an hour so ended up disconnecting. Is this anyway to run a business?

The Westmoreland Public Storage is Great!! Even though I moved to Irving, my storage is in Dallas,…read moreand I am very pleased. The Customer Service from Juan is 5 Star. On my move date, my movers accidentally brought things to Irving that should have gone in storage. We took my things back to the storage, and my key broke in the lock. I was very tired from a long day of moving. Juan made the situation all good!! I knocked on the door for the property manager. Juan came to the door, I explained what happened and he did not hesitate in helping. The movers tried to remove the key, and were unsuccessful. Juan came to my storage and got on his knees, while pushing the key from the back to free it from the lock. It did not happen, so I had to return some items to the garage, where I moved from. Juan stayed and tried to free the key, but could not. He called me later in the evening to let me know he could not get the key removed, but he will notify his manager. The next call was Juan telling me a new lock was placed on my storage door, after they had to cut the original lock. I really appreciate how Juan handled my situation. He called and kept me informed, through everything, until the lock was replaced and I received new keys. Thank You Juan for Excellence in Customer Service!! - Gayla S Irving Texas

I'm happy to be the first person to review my experience with this company so that I can provide…read moreall with a true perspective on why this must be the most poorly run business ever. I purchased a Living Social coupon for $40.00 so that I could have one piece of heavy furniture in an antique store across the street from my home into my home. All in all, the entire trip, door-to-door, would have been about 1000 feet of travel for this team and would have taken about 20 minutes of their time. I live in the Milton, MA area which is located at the top if Route 95N and this business is located in Providence. It's not a far trip - in fact, it would be about the same mileage to go from Providence to Newport as it would be to go from Providence to where I'm located in Milton. However, before I purchased this voucher, I made sure to read ALL the fine print, all the legal, in order to guarantee that there was no time or mileage stipulations built in that would interfere with me buying this voucher. There were not, so I was pleased to purchase. When I called, I was greeted by a man on a cell phone that was a bit abrupt. I began to explain that I had purchased my voucher and that I wanted to schedule a time to have 2 movers (as stated on the voucher) come to move 1 piece of furniture. When I told him that I was located in Milton, he said that "Nope, I won't move anything there." When I asked why, he said that he wasn't coming to Boston to move furniture and when I explained that 1) I wasn't in Boston - I was at the top of 95N and 2) that when I had purchased the voucher, I did so very carefully so as to be sure that mileage wouldn't be an issue because Boston isn't far from Providence, he started to raise his voice. Without getting into the details, he started screaming that he was 'on a job and didn't have time to deal with this bullsh*t' (which is when I asked why he was answering phones if he wasn't prepared to take client calls) and he swore at me, on a few occasions. He was downright belligerent and rude and aggressive. When I reminded him that he already had my money and that services needed to be rendered, he told me that it was my problem and that I should take it up with Living Social. I said, "No, this is YOUR problem because you have my money and you need to render services. It's not MY fault that you didn't think through the terms/conditions that you wanted to uphold in your fine print. If leaving Providence was too far for you, then you should have noted how far away the services were valid for. Then, when it seemed he knew I had a point, he tried to tell me that there was a 2 hour minimum that I had to commit to, that I had paid $40.00 for the first hour, but that the second hour was going to cost me $98.00. Again, I said those terms were never mentioned in the voucher, the offer or the fine print/legal and at this point, I think he was just trying to make the trip to Milton worth his time by adding in some fake terms that didn't exist. At the end of the day, this was the rudest interaction I have ever had with a vendor that was trying to build a good name in the community and earn business. He swore at me. He yelled at me. He berated me. And then, tried to make it sound as though it was all my fault. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS unless you're okay with these types of interactions and happy to have your personal items managed by a bunch of people that can't even hold a civilized conversation (in my case with a client, whose money they already had.) A HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. BELOW IS THE LEGAL AND THE TERMS/CONDITIONS THAT WERE INCLUDED IN THE VOUCHER. NOWHERE DOES IT SAY THAT THERE IS A 2 HOUR TIME MINIMUM OR NOTE ANY MILEAGE CONSTRAINTS: Limit one per purchaser, additional as gifts * Limit one per household * Appointments are required and subject to availability * Merchant cancellation/re-scheduling policy of 72 hours applies; voucher subject to forfeiture * includes two movers and a truck * Entire value must be used in a single visit * Other conditions apply * PAID VALUE DOES NOT EXPIRE * PROMOTIONAL VALUE EXPIRES ON June 30, 2012
