Lisa is friendly & professional creating basic and elaborate gel / Acrylic designs. Lisa can create from an image you bring or design something specifically for you. Using Swarovski crystals, nail tape & all the goodies in between. My nails were strong, no snapping!! The cost is not for the faint of heart. A highly deco set like I received was $85 ~ it cost another $30 to have them professionally removed. Note: average cost of removing gels / acrylics is $20 +up. I recently visited MudHoney for the first time for a gift certificate I had received from a girlfriend for a pedicure, manicure, and brow wax by Tara - an Esthetician there. The atmosphere was trendy and clean. I was immediately seated and offered coffee or tea. Tara, the esthetician, was friendly and easy to chat with. I enjoyed the pedicure and manicure - though, they do not have massage chairs if you are looking for that. As I didn't receive hair services, I am only speaking to the esthetician services. Their current website quotes the following for prices: Classic pedicure $60, Classic manicure $40, and brow wax $20. While I enjoyed my treatments I would not want to pay $120 + tax + tip which comes to around $140/$145 - Yikes! I thought the manicure and pedicure were average but nothing to write home about. I still had a few rough cuticles and hang nails on my hands when I got home. My experience was pleasant - a 4 star based on only having to pay tip & tax... (and I always tip extra on a gift certificate)... but if I had been paying full price... I'd be leaning towards 2-3 stars based on price and quality for the price. Tara was a lovely woman - but I'd rather pay the strip mall price for $60 for a mani/pedi and be in and out even if I don't get tea and my own quiet little room. read more

Went back to the salon again today for my second cut with another stylist and again had another great experience. Vicky took the time to ask me what I like and dislike about my hair, what I like about my cut and what I want. I showed her the picture of my last cut and she cut it exactly like I wanted it. She showed me how to style it and what products to use for dry, dehydrated hair, as apparently mine is. Two times satisfied means I'll be back! read more

Then I saw the lovely Esther for the extensions. Kim charges me $800 for the extensions. Now I'm going to have to go to the store and buy a box dye and redo it myself. I went to mudHoney with a Groupon for a cut, deep conditioning treatment, and blow out. My first red flag was the booking call, during which the voice on the line referred to my appointment as a 'Groupon Cut' about three times. I received a very rushed and unpleasant cut and blow out, but not the deep conditioning treatment for some reason..? My hair was yanked on repeatedly, and the round brush during the blowout was scraped and smacked into my scalp hastily, as the stylist seemed hell-bent on getting me out of there as quickly as possible. I was the only customer, so I'm not sure what the rush was about; maybe someone had to poop. My ears were red, sore and burning for hours afterward from being combed and brushed WITH my hair. As ears are attached to the head and have nerve endings, I feel they should not be combed or brushed. They were also full of goo from whatever products were used on me. Nice touch. To hit the trifecta of crap, I hate the much-shorter cut. I have a round face and the ends look stringy and thin. Yikes. read more

I went to MudHoney on a groupon, which included a haircut/style and a makeup application. I walked in and was pleased with the salon atmosphere - everything was very open and modern. Booking an appointment had been easy and they were very friendly over the phone. My stylist was very friendly but didn't really seem to listen to what I wanted. I was adding on a coloring on top of my haircut, and she colored my hair a very different (and unsubtle) shade. She didn't ask me how I wanted my hair styled and went about curling it after she cut it. Now, I like curls as much as the next person, but my hair is naturally poker straight, so I walked out of the salon looking nothing like myself. I literally haid hair that would've made Snooki envious - it had that much height. The curls also didn't work in terms of me not really knowing what sort of haircut I actually got. I left feeling very unhappy. The next day I woke up and washed my hair, and saw what it 'really' looked like and felt heartbroken. It wasn't what I wanted - parts of my hair were streaked an orangey brown color - which contrasted terribly with my natural darkbrown/black. I felt embarassed to go out. I went to a salon across the street from my condo and asked them for advice. They told me that if I wasn't happy, they were sure MudHoney would understand and redo my hair for me. Let me first say that I am not the type of person who likes to complain, especially about haircuts. My hair is long, straight, boring and my haircuts never seem to turn out the way I want them to. But this was really bad, and I knew deep down I couldn't just live with it, so I went back in and spoke to the manager. She was very friendly and understanding, all though she did tell me that "I should have told my stylist right off the bat that I didn't like it" - which I think was a little unfair, considering the fact that I could barely tell what my hair looked like when I left. However, she took me right away and retoned my hair, and it came out exactly the right color I had wanted. She also recut my hair and it turned out to be one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Sadly though, I have not returned to MudHoney. All though I respect them for fixing my hair, the experience was enough to keep me looking for another salon. Also, their pricing is quite expensive. I came here awhile back on a Groupon, and oh my gosh did I regret it. It was the haircut/color that made me vow never to get another hair Groupon. The salon itself is nestled in a nice location on 124 St (you can check out so many awesome cafes before and after), but it can be hard to find parking. The salon itself is kind of... unfriendly. It's one of those ones that tries to look super modern but it comes out as looking sort of cold. And this one is a little run down around the edges. Anyways. One major problem I had was the colouring table. There is a large kitchen table in the back that all the clients sit around while the colorists do their thing. On one hand, it's kind of a neat idea and could foster socialization. Realistically, the colorists just talked to one another and ignored the clients. The other was the fact that my hair turned green (it was an attempt at turning bleach blonde into brown and they didn't add the correct colors back into my hair). I honestly didn't even realize how bad it was in the salon (the bad lighting in there disguised it), but as soon as I got home I realized how terrible it was. I didn't end up going back to get them to fix it (why would I want them touching it again?), and besides it was a Groupon and not super expensive. But GREEN?! How would they have not noticed and fixed it. This was the first color job I've ever had that I had to wear a hat and get it fixed within a week. The cut was also pretty bad. Despite saying I just wanted a trim, the stylist cut a couple inches off, and then created a sort of mom-bob around my face. Not everybody wants face framing layers. If I don't ask for them - I don't want them. Anyways, when I got it fixed a week later the stylist commented on both how bad the color was and how bad the cut was (but she was thankfully able to salvage both). read more

I bought a groupon for a manicure/pedicure from this salon because it was a good deal and close to home. Mistake! First I walked in and there was only one customer sitting in a chair under a dryer, no staff in sight. I waited about 3 minutes before anyone bothered to come greet me. Then I was greeted by the lady who would do my services and taken to a nail station. There was very little talking, the place was like a ghost town. I tried to make conversation with the lady but it was like talking to the wall so I gave up. The only other customer was finally taken for her hair to be rinsed, and something else applied - then she was left to sit in the chair by the sink for about 20 min. It seemed like she was wondering where her girl went too, just disappeared. When she came back to rinse the lady she was chewing - went for a snack apparently. One other staff was doing her own color on her hair and there was some interaction between the salon staff but very little with customers. It was like we weren't there, was very odd. THEN came the pedicure which was THE oddest one I've ever had. I bought this as a treat and after a month of really high stressful events wanted to use it to relax. I was taken into a room where there was a massage table - looked like the room where they do waxings. I had to lie on the bed/table and bend my knees to put my feet into a bowl of soapy water. My hands/nails were wet so I couldn't even adjust the pillows under my head which were almost smothering. Basically I had to do a crunch and flex my thigh muscles the whole time or the bowl would have gone shooting off the table. By the time the girl came back the water was almost cold - that's how long I laid there. She asked if I was relaxed now - I mentioned that I had been doing a crunch the whole time and she just shrugged it off. Then when I go to leave I was charged $6.75 in supposed GST. I checked and sometimes that is the case on groupons but let's do the math - $90 in services is $4.50 in GST. Why was I charged $6.75?? I do not like rude people, ones who charge hidden fees and high priced salons which don't even have the proper equipment to do the job. For $50 that was the WORST pedicure I've ever had. I'm not even sure the tools she used get cleaned in between clients - they were just sitting out on the nail station. DO NOT get a pedicure here!!! read more

I was looking for a salon in my neighbourhood and tried MudHoney. Kim the owner did a fantastic job of my colour and I have been there two other times for a wash and blow dry. Went back to MUD after a years absence. I don't know why I waited! Riana did an amazing cut and colour. The salon is clean and staff are very friendly. Pricing is not out of line with the location and quality. They stock Kevin Murphy products. One downside is parking is horrible in the area. Thank you groupon for taking me to this salon! I've driven past mudHoney almost every day on my way to work but I've never stopped in before since I've always had another salon I've gone to. Recently, I've had to search for a new place to get my hair done and lo and behold: groupon for a cut and treatment! It's been so long since I've gotten a haircut that my ends were gross and so dry! I'm growing my hair out so I was worried that they would cut off a huge chunk (like they always do when you ask for a trim) just to get rid of all the dead split ends. Surprisingly, Hannah listened to what I wanted (a trim) and did just that! In addition to actually listening to what I wanted, they recommended products and weren't super pushy about it. They don't carry too much for selection but the product they do carry is high quality. They also so lashes, nails, waxing, and various treatments! The salon has a great modern feel to it and showcases local artwork that you can actually purchase. I'll definitely be going back and I recommend trying them out! read more

For the price they charge for haircut and style, which is about around $100 for experienced stylist. I would rather go to a school and get my haircut. One stylist gets a little too happy with scissors. Don't give me all wrong they are good in some areas, but some other business practises needs attention. read more

I tried this salon out on a groupon. I thought the stylist was great. Very friendly and did a great job. No suprises-hair was exactly like I requested (probably better). The downside was I was charged an extra $40 on top of my groupon because my (mid length) hair required extra dye? I wish I would have been told this upfront before the was provided. Having extra charges at the end as a surprise made me feel like I was being ripped off or taken advantage of. Horrible service. I had a groupon for cut, partial highlights, and blow-out. It started out promising. My appointment was made over the phone for Friday, Feb 27 at 530pm with "Brandon". I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, and one of the free stylists took my coat to hang up. She told me to take a seat. Brandon came out, said hello and looked at the computer screen to tell me I was actually with "Maddie" so I sat back down. That was 535pm. I then sat for the next 40 mins without anyone coming to check on me, or to offer a beverage or explanation for delay. By this time, two stylists were free, I overheard Brandon still tell the stylist who took my coat that I was "Maddie's" client. "Maddie" never came out to indicate how much longer, or explain what was going on. I think I was excessively polite already to have waited as long as I did. MudHoney stylists and staff should realize that client's time is precious. I don't have time to wait for you to sort your scheduling out. And if someone is behind, you need to explain from the outset to see if it is worth client's valuable time to wait. I may have been more understanding with such a courtesy. I think I was a chump to wait around so that's my mistake. Instead, by this time, two stylists were free and wandering around, I asked for my coat and left. I will never come back; I will never recommend this place. I will ask groupon for a refund. Perhaps this is how they treat groupon clients, but in any case, this is how they treated me. For hair I really like MudHoney. My boyfriend went there randomly and the owner did his hair, it was really pricey for a man's cut but I still can't believe what a great hair style it was for a guy whose hair always looks kind of the same. They also offered a 6 week touch up for free. I went there later and got a cheaper stylist (they charge depending on the chair) and I was really happy with it, it was what I regularly pay at cheap mall salons but I got the whole swanky package. The stylist also gave her input about what would look best, and how to care for my type of hair, without being pushy or trying to sell me product. To be honest I think she left my hair a little longer than I would have liked, because I was trying to get rid of some damage done by ombre, but she wanted to keep a bit of the colour since she liked it so much. I would rather have my hair a bit too long than too short, so it was okay. I've had other friends go there on totally short notice as per my recommendation and they were really happy as well. I also went for a pedicure fairly recently, which was good, but not the best because they don't have chairs with soakers, just a bed and a metal bowl. The esthetician, I think her name was Janice, was super friendly and really good. She did a great job. I probably wouldn't go back for that particular service just because of the lack of chairs, but I'll definitely return for my hair soon, and probably try some of their other services. read more

I went to Mudhoney salon with a group on for a cut and partial highlights which I paid $100. When I found that partial highlights would not cover my roots I paid an additional $ 40 for highlights and $20 in misc charges. My stylist was good and my cut and colour were very nice but it certainly did not seem like a deal . I really can't see the highlights and lowlights in the hair although the colour is very nice. I asked the price of a future root touch up and it was $125. Regular price on my hairstyle would have been 190 + 40+20 =250. The salon was not busy and I think it's because of their outrageous pricing. read more

I went to mudHoney Salon last week and I am so impressed with my cut and the service I received from Kim. I have long, thick, natural curly hair and I was dreading getting a haircut after some bad luck with other stylists. I emailed the salon to see if they had a stylist that specializes in cutting curly hair. I received a reply the same day and made an appointment for the following day with Kim. She was awesome! She listened to what I wanted and was able to keep a lot of the length and gave my hair nice volume and shape with out it being "poofy" (which can happen to curly hair when it is cut poorly). I am currently a student on a budget so I do not use the top of the line styling/hair care products. Unlike some other salons, at mudHoney I did not feel pressured into buying products I cannot afford or feel ashamed for using department store brands. It was a really great experience all around and I got a better hairstyle than I could have even imagined! Finally my search for a hairstylist that understands curly hair is over! read more

I went there on a groupon. First my stylist was over 30 minutes late. Then we had our consult I told her I wanted a really good cut and style because I had not had one in awhile. I was open to any color of hair and ideas. She explained there would be a price difference as partial high Lights is on only ten highlights. She told me how about ombré color. I said sure and went with it. My appoinment was supposed to be at 12pm it did not finish till 345 pm. I never got a cut. I don't believe I got ombré either. My hair looks grey with highlights. I had a meeting at 4pm so I couldn't stay any longer. On top of this the colour cost 175$. I chose to pay visa for the color and not use the groupon because I never want to go back. The manager/ owner was there and did nothing to make this better. You could tell by my voice and my body language I was unhappy. Nothing was done for her being late either. I am trying to get the groupon reversed because I never want to go back. I understand when the other review says ghost town. 6 chairs and two stylists. I booked in here after my hair stylist for my wedding cancelled - My trial went really well... but my trial hair was not duplicated - During my trial the owner asked if I would like extensions which I admit I was deseperate for.... I was excited that I could have long hair for my wedding... Except come wedding day the "extensions" were about 2 inches long and a completely different colour from my hair... which was brutal because the owner told me I should take the blonder foils out of the bottom of my hair... which of course cost me more money at the salon. Wedding day.September 1 2012.. I was almost in tears when my hair looked absolutely nothing like my trail and it wasn't professional either. She didn't bother to look at the photo again and decided to make changes which were not mentioned upon starting my hair (It was rainy so she changed up the style completely. She re-started. My hair turned out nothing like it was suppose to and there was so much product it didn't hold. My hair looked like it hadn't been washed in a month by the time it was done. It was terrible to see how my hair looked in our photos. Three out of four of my bridesmaids were not happy with their hair either. They complained that they were not listened to - I also felt communication was put on the back burner. I admit I have not returned. I am one of the "never commit to a salon" type. However This is one where I will stay! I went in with a coupon and wanted to add a hair dye. And not just any dye, I wanted Blonde! Mel (my hair stylist) took all day to strip my hair and took the time to get it exactly right. I wasn't sure I wanted all blond so she even took the time to streak my full head of hair first, and when I wanted more she agreed and we did my whole head. She spent so much time with me and didn't complain when this feat interferred with her other appointments. She did everthing to make me happy while she attended to her other clients. After Summer I got tired of blonde and she helped me get it just the right shade of brown. Only complaint I have is that it is pricy, but I think it is comparable to other salons. I was very disappointed, a trendy a line bob on a round face????? being cut just below the cheek line...this is not a flattering haircut.. and the styling was horrible big messy helmet. I usually don't write any posts or blog but after reading some of the other posts, I feel like it was my duty to right the wrong. What stylist doesn't ask how you want your hair cut, and if that does happen would you really just sit there and say nothing. That's like going to a restaurant and not ordering and food, who does that REALLY. Secondly every time you get color done the stylist either put some sort of protector on you head (like a towel or Vaseline) and if some does by accident drips on your head or face they would wipe it off before you get a burning sensation from the chemicals. I had visited Mudhoney Salon the other day and have had compliments day after day about my hair since then. (It's now been a week since my last visit). With every visit I'm greeted at the door and offered a tea coffee or bottled water, the stylists all say hello and are so friendly. Instead of waiting for a while like most salons for my stylist, I get seated right away. We talk about my last cut and color, what I liked about it and the new changes that I would like to make for the next up to date style. It always surprises me when they remember all the little details of the last chat that we've had the previous visit, if its about my hair or my personal life. Ohhh, I can't forget about the scalp massage that you get when they shampoo your hair, it melts all the troubles always from my stress filled days. (Sometimes I just want to go in for the shampoo treatment on my bad days). After all my cuts they style my hair but always give me different ways to style the same hair cut because who really likes looking the same way day after day. It keeps it fresh, you know what I mean. Before I leave the chair I get asked what look I would like to achieve the next time around, so that they can give me some advice to get that next hot look. When I go to Mudhoney it's always nice to see that they support the community that they are in and the city they live in. Last year the owner did something that was so incredible, she shaved her head with the local police and fire fighters to raise money for beast cancer, yeah it's easy to say your gonna do it but to actually DO IT!! Very impressed. The paintings in the salon change every so often so I asked what that was all about, they replied that those paintings are all from Edmonton local artist and is showcased at the salon for them. read more

Definitely impressed. I booked with Mudhoney on a groupon and the day of the appointment I got a call that the stylist they had booked me with was ill. I was already close to the area, and had said so, and the owner Kim was quick to offer to accommodate me into her schedule. She skillfully balanced my cut & colour with two other clients and I was blown away that she spent so much of her time and concentration on my cut, listened to what I wanted and added creative flair. Really, as both an accommodated client and a groupon client, that is not what I was expecting. It turned out absolutely great. Never did I think I could get a bad mani/pedi. I love getting my nails done. This salon doesn't even have a foot spa, the manicurist lays you on a table and sticks your foot in a bowl. Seriously? Where's the bubbles, the whirlpool, lights, massage, vibrating chairs, etc? Other customers in the salon were offered beverages, I was offered nothing. I wanted a particular color for my nails and the manicurist didn't think it was a good plan. Seriously?!? It's MY MONEY and MY body. The manicure was horrendous. Darci made me bleed twice and didn't even apologize. There was no offer of paraffin wax, even at an up charge. Paid for partial highlights and a cut. Extra charges at the end made me feel ripped off. The woman was rough and didn't listen. If you don't know how to cut naturally wavy thick hair say so. I asked for no more than 4" to be cut off she cut off a foot. Now I can't do anything with it and will have to pay extra to get it fixed. Thanks for wrecking my best feature. I went to MudHoney for a cut and foils. I arrived ten minutes prior to my apointment but was not seated in front of my stylist until 40 minutes later! Not off to a great start. When I finally met my stylist the first thing she said was an insult to my hair colour (natural colour I might add). I was talked into doing a full colour instead of just foils and what a mistake that was! The colour was blotted along my hairline so poorly it made my hairline look seriously messed up! I'm not picky, but this was aweful! I also sat with colour in my hair for over an hour and a half- now, I'm up to 2 hours at the salon. My head started burning so I said something and 15 minutes later the dye was rinsed. The cut was done in what felt like a mad rush. I've had my fair share of bad cuts and colours but this one topped the cake! I've NEVER returned to a salon to have my hair fixed but $300 later I was ticked and returned to have it fixed the next week. My stylist was the owner! I couldn't believe she was that sloppy with my colour. It wasn't just one or two places she missed with colour but literally spots all over my head! I also had booked a make-up application and she didn't even remove the make-up I was wearing before trying to go over top with more! I looked like a clown. I won't be returning. read more

Kim is absolutely amazing at finding solutions for my hair problems (or "emergencies" as I call them), and takes the time to explain what she's doing. I used to go to Mudhoney because my initial stylist transferred there from another salon. She was amazing but moved back to Grande Prairie. Having really liked the atmosphere of the salon when I'd been in the past, a booked another appointment with a different stylist. It was awful! Out of the 3 customers in the store, I was the first to arrive for a cut and colour. My stylist talked to me about what I wanted, put foils in my hair and left me for an hour and a half. By this time, the other 2 customers had come and gone (cut and colour). My stylist finally remembered me and washed my hair, remarking that it was dry (ya think? you left bleach on my head for an hour and a half!) and put a conditioning treatment in. She indicated that it should stay in for 10 minutes. While I was sitting, she took 2 walk-in customers. Whenever she walked by, I tried to catch her eye, but she avoided me. The other stylists didn't do anything either, despite the fact that it wasn't busy. I waited at the sinks with the conditioning treatment on my head for an hour. At this point, I was considering throwing my hair up in a ponytail and walking out - conditioner on my head be damned! When she finally came back, she rinsed my hair and tried to discuss what sort of cut I wanted. Having already been there for 3 hours, I lost my patience and told her I'd been waiting too long and now had to go. I was still charged full price. I was furious. The next day, I called the salon asking to speak to the manager. The manager invited me into the salon to discuss. When I arrived, I was appalled to realize that the manager was one of the stylists who had been present the night before! Although she was very nice, she was also pretty dismissive. When I indicated that my concerns were that I'd been left with bleach on my head for an hour and a half and with conditioner for another hour, she said that the conditioner was a little out of line and that she'd seen what had happened the night before and could tell I was upset then. (Why didn't she do anything or say anything to her stylist?) She offered to cut my hair for free. The haircut was mediocre, but the lack of respect for customers I saw from my stylist and then from the manager has ensured that I have never returned. In fact, I actively encourage people not to go there. The atmosphere is lovely. The staff and management need to be replaced. They are not talented enough to be so rude. read more

I received extensions with the promise of amazing results by Kim! I was told the method I was using wasn't the right method for my hair. So I decided to go for it. It was one of the worse experiences of my life. I gave them 3 months to try to prove their method as being the best. First I was told I would need only 1 bag of hair. After me telling them no I will need more. 1 bag installed and then Kim tried to "blend" my hair which she basically thinned my hair out so bad I have no choice now but to have extensions. She also colored a strip of blond hair red for me and told me no worries we can color it when it fades. About 4 weeks after I went back to get the red colored and walked out looking the exact same as when I walked in. But was still charged. I was also told every 4-6 weeks I would come in for a touch up. I was going in every week to get a touch up. Kim the owner even allowed her esthetician to touch my extensions up when Amber (who by the way is a great gal) was on vacation. Kim came over and showed her how to do it and walked away! Kim called me when I stopped going... I emailed her on her site and this is the response. First of all, I would like to apologize for many things. 1. I feel that I should have installed your extensions myself as we would have been able to avoid many of the issues you were having. I had put much of an investment into Amber's future and I had wanted her to succeed. But to do that, I have to "share" mudHoney's clients with her to help her grow. 2. My attempts to blend your hair with the extensions was determined by how your extensions were installed. Again, if they were installed a little differently, we wouldn't have run into that situation. 3. I am not sure as to why the red extensions were not used from the beginning. That way, we wouldn't have had to colour you hair in the first place. 4. I do apologize for the esthetician attempting to do your touch up. It was never my intention that your hair be done by anyone other than Amber or myself. I was quite surprised to see you in the salon because I knew you were not in my schedule. That is something I have spoken to everyone about and it will never happen again! Please realize that I am not trying to put the blame on anyone but myself and for that I would like to try to make it up to you. Should you wish to ever try our extensions again, it will ALL be on the house and done by myself. I do have 18 years of extensions and hair styling under my belt. I do feel the need to respond to this email. 1) I understand you need to "share" your clients. But while still in training shouldn't you have been there to check over things? Obviously you knew they were improperly installed so as owner of the shop myself I would not have let a client walk out the door. 2) Your attempt at blending my hair knowing full well the extensions were not installed properly left my own hair shredded. The top of my hair was cut an inch long. And once I actually removed them I basically have 1/4 of the hair I had when I walked into your salon. I have to have extensions now because my hair was cut anthinned so badly. 3) when it came to the red extensions it was you that suggested we colour blonde extensions that you had on hand. I was also told it would be no problem at all the touch up the red. When I did go in and pay to have them coloured I walked out looking the same as I did when I walked in. I was charged $60 for this. Then we ordered red extensions. Which I paid $200 for and another $ 150 to have them installed. 4) You did not agree with your esthetician doing my hair then why did you come over and tell her what had to be done and then walk away. You did reinforce the red but that was it. If you disagreed with her doing it then you should not have allowed her to do it. 5) I was told these extensions would be so much better than the extensions I had. The upkeep I was told every 6-8 weeks. But I was coming in every 1-2 weeks. I have spent 1000 at your salon for 3 months worth of extensions and that was purchasing my own hair. I feel like I was completely ripped off. The extension I have now cost me a total of $600 and have been in a month without any issues. And look completely natural. Being told I had a lot of hair that's why it was so difficult. But in the end that was not the case at all. It was inexperience. I do not in anyway shape or form blame Amber as she was just learning. I feel you as a salon owner should have corrected things. Instead of offering to do my next set on the house. Why not offer some of my cash I wasted back. I'm sorry if this comes across rude but really Kim in the end it's your responsibility to make sure your customers are satisfied and that you are proud to let people walk out of your salon looking good. I had the same experience as one of the other reviewers. I asked for medium brown and my hair was dyed Elvis Black. I got the same " Snooki" look. It was the worst experience of my life. I called back and they did strip some of the colour out, but it was still no where near what I had asked for. My hairstylist was Melanie and I would not recommend her. The Salon itself is very professional looking and Melanie was very friendly, but she has no idea what she is doing when it comes to colouring. read more

It started out well. I called to book an appointment and there was no answer. They called me back even though I didn't leave a message. They even called to confirm my appointment the night before. I enetered the salon 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment. No one acknowledged me so I sat down and waited. 15 minutes later someone came to the front and spoke with me, took my name and said it would be a few more minutes. 25 minutes after my appointment was scheduled I was still waiting on the couch. If someone told me that they are running behind when I walked in I would have probably stayed. my time wasn't respected. Not a good first impression. read more

mudhoney has such a great atmosphere and the staff are always nice and professional on the phone, in the salon, etc. My husband and I have come here for our wedding, important meetings and events, and have always left with great haircuts/styles.
