I was quite anxious to have laser hair removal again - prior to getting pregnant I had gone in for a treatment as I had purchased a Groupon at a reputable salon which I had heard personal reviews for. I think I have average pain tolerance but OH MY GOODNESS...!! They didn't do anything wrong, and I didn't have any strange reactions - but, I could not force myself to go back in for another torturous treatment! I read the reviews on Bush Whacked here on Yelp, took at the price list, and decided it'd be worth a chance. It took me weeks to get in as they are quite booked, but the booking clerk was very professional. I let Angelique know my concerns, she was patient and took the time to answer my questions and reassure me prior to starting my first treatment. I was in awe of how painless it was - yes it does feel cool, yes you can feel a bit of heat as the laser heats up the follicle - but it was almost relaxing rather then the sharp severe snap/slap/burning feeling I had previously experienced. I would absolutely recommend Bush Whacked Laser to anyone who has had a negative experience with laser hair removal previously, or who is considering laser for the first time. Well I'm on visit number three, two visits for back, and one for a chest/ab. My back had very fine dark hair, that was almost invisible from 6 feet away, and my chest has darker and courser hair, not as bad as some guys but enough that I didn't like it. I have been waxing for over 15 years, and I don't find it all that painful, but the results are very short lived, after 2-3 days the hair was visible again. After the first laser treatment on my back, the skin was very slightly pink, and was gone by the next morning. Afters six weeks there was so little hair I continplated not not going back because there really wasn't much for signs of hair at all. The results where so good on my back I decided to go ahead have my chest/abs done today, if the results are any where near what I have had on my back it will be money well spent. The staff is very professional, and plesent to talk too, while they worked on me. As other people have stated, it really is almost painless, I would describe the sensation similar to a very very mild electro static shock. I did notice the sensation did seem to be a little more noticeable on the courser chest hair then on the finer back hairs, but no where near what waxing is. The only things I would like to see this company do different is get more machines, as they are very busy and booking a time is very limited. And secondly get a freeking bottle warmer, for the ultrasound gel. read more

Although the ever popular Sandy was on holidays, I was helped by an equally knowledgeable and friendly technician. Absolutely no waiting time as I was in and and ready to be bush whacked within a few minutes. Their hours go beyond the normal work day as my appointment was at 19:00 which is very convenient for most who work 9-5 jobs. Once again, the process was very quick and pain-free. I even got some aloe to soothe any pesky spots that were a little sensitive to the treatment. Angelique gave my first ever laser treatment. Seriously - I want to get everything done now. First off - the studio is immaculate, and the person that decorated clearly has a knack for interior design. Second - every girl that works here is so friendly and approachable. They made the experience of inquiring an easy one, and they made it less intimidating to ask questions and feel confident going into the treatment. Everyone wants to know... What's it feel like? Honestly, the most uncomfortable part is when they put the "ultrasound gel" on you... SO COLD!! Aside from that, the laser itself is truly what they say: painless. I can only explain the it as a strange, warm sensation... The closest it came to hurting was something similar to getting a little static shock. I do not have black hair, and I have already seen some results. Do not fret if it seems like the body hair seems to be growing in normally; I found that once it started to grow out, it literally would fall out if you were showering/pulled on it haha (curiosity... how can you not check it out?!). I went in 100% skeptical that there would be ANY difference. I have thick black man-beard hair both in placement and in growth pattern. I typically pluck daily. And it grows back daily. As an FYI, I'm 45 and of french descent. I went in and had my entire face(neck, chin, sideburns and lip) done. It feels like you're getting a zap like when it's dry and someone touches you. However, it's not painful, just shocking. It took over a week to notice any difference. The hair continued to "grow" however there was a noticeable difference in the texture of the hair. Then it started to fall out. It's been three weeks since I went in. The hair on my chin has started to grow back, but it is blond and thin. There unfortunately is no real difference on my upper lip, however, I've heard that's it harder to treat, and I've only had one treatment. Overall I'm beyond estatic, and I'll definitely be going back. The price is extremely reasonable. I hope your results are as awesome as mine were. Professional service, friendly staff and competitive prices with frequent specials. The Alma laser used here is literally pain-free and produces results comparable to other painful lasers. The downside is that several passes are needed over each spot as the laser gradually heats up the follicle, so the sessions take longer than they do at most other places. read more

I've been here many times. When I first walked in I was extremely hesitant. It was 2 rooms and 2 women one waiting to do my laser the other as a receptionist. I was expecting more of a medical setting. However they made me feel very comfortable now this is the only place I will go to. Prices are good and the laser works wonderfully for hair removal. My first experience with laser hair removal was with Bush Whacked, and I'll tell you now that I'm glad I did the right research with which place to choose. The benefits of coming here are that it's affordable, it doesn't hurt, and the technicians are super friendly. I've heard horror stories of burning and blistering, but you won't get any of that at Bush Whacked, since they use the pain-free laser. Apparently the reason lots of places don't have it is because it's a much bigger investment. But it's worth it, because it'll keep customers like me coming back again. I was expecting some sort of pinching feeling, but it generally just feels like surges of warmth on your skin, which you get used to really quickly. I already see results after my first visit, and I will definitely be going back to finish up. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot! read more

Not happy with their service, had several treatments, 6-7 treatments for each part of body still have a lot of hair grow! When started treatments they told me with my skin type I need 6 treatments and I will be good to go but now telling me 7 treatments are minimal! Very poor customer service! This was my first (of many) tattoo removal experience. The ladies at Bushwhacked were really great about easing my nerves. First stop when you arrive is to have the numbing creme applied to the tattoo-to-be-removed and then wait 30 minutes and fill out the paperwork. The treatment itself took only about 10 minutes to cover my upper back from shoulder to shoulder. AS far as pain is concerned, it's sort of a pinching feeling - but totally bearable (and trust me, I'm a wuss). The tech was also really good about asking how I was doing throughout. They give you all the care info you need for post-treatment. I did some research on the Pico Laser that they use here, and its one of the best in terms of effectiveness. It breaks down the tattoo pigment into smaller grains than most of the other systems out there, so your body can exume the ink faster. This means fewer treatments, which means fewer $$$ on the whole. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience here and will be coming back for all my tattoo removal needs! read more
