It's an open concept top floor shop - beautiful, airy, and bright. Our piercings all healed okay, though I think it would have been better if we had been given options of non pronged noise piercings because they caught on masks, sheets, etc. my nose finally started healing once I purchased a flat style piece of jewelry elsewhere. Booking, waivers, and payments were all made electronically. Environment was spotless just as you'd hope for at a tattoo and piercing shop.

These were my first, and I was not sure what my pain threshold would be, but I was determined to do it! Kate is friendly and SO efficient! I couldn't believe how fast she knocked these out! One on my inner arm, and the other on my calf (gotta admit, I twitched, because there was some serious shading happening). But I appreciated the sheet they sent me beforehand with everything I might need (snacks and a pillow, ftw!) I couldn't believe I was done in just over 2 hours, so my price was less than quoted. The shop is immaculate, and for someone like me who had always been intimidated by the thought of a "tattoo parlor," it put me completely at ease. The music was cool 80s/90s rock and grunge, and I was completely relaxed there and with Kate. I was given good after-instructions for care and cleaning, as well. Other artists came over to check to see what she was working on, and were friendly and chatty. If you want new ink, come here! You won't regret it! I now want to plan a few more!

They answered any and all questions I had and wanted to make sure that the idea I had for a tattoo was what I wanted to stick with for sure. They drew me a picture and sent me home to make sure that's what I wanted exactly and they saved me a spot in their books. I came back the next week and again they were very welcoming. They made sure I was super comfy in the chair and they had books to look at and when I needed a break it was no problem. I can honestly say I have never had a better experience even since then. Now it is the only place I want to go to get my work done and I feel that i have made new friends at the same time.

So I was very unhappy to show up early for my appointment and wait and an hour after my appointment time I was still waiting. I ended up having to leave. The reception girl was lovely and rebooked me for the next day. They booked me with the same artist and I got the rate I would have gotten the day before. Unfortunately the artist was awful. She was conceited and had no manners. She complained about not being able to use the computer and about the design. She complained about the "thin lines" despite there being no demand for thin lines. She ignored my requests. And she chose the font and then proceeded to complain the entire time about it. I got three small tattoos and each one has a problem. One on my wrist has two lines coming off of it instead of one where she had tried to go back over it and messed up. My forearm spacing is messed up (my fault for not bailing and getting it anyways) but she did messed up part of it so the lines aren't clean. When I suggested an edit she told me she didn't like it and wouldn't even humor it. I had to use the pen and draw what I meant. An "&" shouldn't be too complex of an idea. And the biggest problem I have is a colored one on my leg. I asked for it to be shaded and instead it is flat color. It was supposed to have a certain number of lines through it and she messed up and said "oh well". She was very heavy handed and did not hide that she was irritated with me. It is healing horribly. I'm not sure if I had a bad reaction to the colors or what. It bubbled up and when some of it finally flaked off what is left looks terrible. It will definitely need touching up. But there is no way I would consider letting the artist near me again. Can provide pictures of this horror show if needed. She also did not go through any care instructions with me. I had, luckily, been with friends the day before and heard theirs, as well as having had one before. But it seems like something the artist should go through every time. She was whiny and had a bad attitude. I suspect she was mad about having to give me the Wednesday rate (I was fine paying regular rate - I just wanted a quality artist) and her work certainly showed it. The studio itself was great. The other artists I talked to also were. The reception was great. Just the artist was awful. Absolutely awful.

Tony sketches your tattoo right in front of you allowing for adjustments and input while he is drawing. I have dreamed of getting an elephant tattoo for so many years and I am so thankful I found such a talented and kind artist to make this dream a reality.
