I sent him a few photos of what I had in mind and it's like he crawled into my brain! I could not be happier! While it took longer than anticipated, it was well worth the wait! What I love most about Urge 2 is how it's like a big, loving, dysfunctional family! Just like my own! Every single artist here is different in their style, and they are not afraid to send you to a different artist if what you're looking for is not their style and more someone else's! They also offer tattoo removal if you're looking to have that old one zapped away to make room for something new and fabulous! I've heard it's quite painful! Stacy is my regular artist and he has basically covered my back and stomach. I've sent a few friends/family to him as well and they've always said he is professional, fair and talented. I love my tattoos and can't wait to keep covering my body! I have an absolutely bomb back-piece and stomach tattoo from Stacy - he does good work. I've also gone to Adam for some small tattoos and touch ups all around. I'm happy with those tattoos as well. Have yet to go to Kat, but I enjoy chatting with her about my tattoos, and we are planning on doing a pet piece soon. She loves Sphynx cats and I have an adorable Sphynx who I want to commemorate in as a tattoo - and my other pets too. Her style is very new traditional and is right up my alley so I can't wait to get started. I have no doubt in my mind that I'll be here getting tattoo'd. It's my regular place, you can always trust them to do great work! Prices are also always fair, you can tell they want to give the best possible work but aren't looking to bleed you dry. The other staff there are friendly as well. Prices were reasonable for the tattoo I got - script on my upper arm. I wasn't sure what to expect for the price, but no issues there at all. I'm happy to pay the price for a good tattoo. Overall, it was a quick and efficient experience. I am very happy with my new tattoo. My only qualm is that there is barely any parking because the parking lot is very busy.

So I was very unhappy to show up early for my appointment and wait and an hour after my appointment time I was still waiting. I ended up having to leave. The reception girl was lovely and rebooked me for the next day. They booked me with the same artist and I got the rate I would have gotten the day before. Unfortunately the artist was awful. She was conceited and had no manners. She complained about not being able to use the computer and about the design. She complained about the "thin lines" despite there being no demand for thin lines. She ignored my requests. And she chose the font and then proceeded to complain the entire time about it. I got three small tattoos and each one has a problem. One on my wrist has two lines coming off of it instead of one where she had tried to go back over it and messed up. My forearm spacing is messed up (my fault for not bailing and getting it anyways) but she did messed up part of it so the lines aren't clean. When I suggested an edit she told me she didn't like it and wouldn't even humor it. I had to use the pen and draw what I meant. An "&" shouldn't be too complex of an idea. And the biggest problem I have is a colored one on my leg. I asked for it to be shaded and instead it is flat color. It was supposed to have a certain number of lines through it and she messed up and said "oh well". She was very heavy handed and did not hide that she was irritated with me. It is healing horribly. I'm not sure if I had a bad reaction to the colors or what. It bubbled up and when some of it finally flaked off what is left looks terrible. It will definitely need touching up. But there is no way I would consider letting the artist near me again. Can provide pictures of this horror show if needed. She also did not go through any care instructions with me. I had, luckily, been with friends the day before and heard theirs, as well as having had one before. But it seems like something the artist should go through every time. She was whiny and had a bad attitude. I suspect she was mad about having to give me the Wednesday rate (I was fine paying regular rate - I just wanted a quality artist) and her work certainly showed it. The studio itself was great. The other artists I talked to also were. The reception was great. Just the artist was awful. Absolutely awful.

Tony sketches your tattoo right in front of you allowing for adjustments and input while he is drawing. I have dreamed of getting an elephant tattoo for so many years and I am so thankful I found such a talented and kind artist to make this dream a reality. I was also very pleased that Tony was able to complete my tattoo, which takes up a good portion of my thigh, in a one 6 hour sitting. It is going to take a while to believe this masterpiece is really mine to keep forever.
