Here the staff knows what they are doing and Sabrina is very well educated in the world of laser hair removal. I learnt that she actually went and took schooling for it. Not sure if people realize, but not a lot of laser hair removal places have actual schooling to remove hair. I've never been burnt and saw immediate results on my under arms and bikini area. It's scary trusting someone with completing hair removal especially when you have darker skin. I think i asked at least ten minutes of questions before even booking an appointment. I required a few more "feathers" drawn onto my new eyebrow line to fill them out properly. Micro-pigmentation takes about 90 minutes including the freezing gel application. It takes about a week to heal with frequent applications of Polysporin or other antibiotic gel. The dark, scary look fades after 2 days as the process heals. Itching is normal. Don't scratch! I'm looking like a starlet today! Is it worth $350.00? When all is said and done, YES. It was a big hit to the pocketbook, but I scrimp and save in all other areas of my beauty routine, so I think it evens out. I feel like I have a younger, sexier face. I'm very happy with Tropicalaser.

There seems to be a few shady practices in Edmonton that try to take your money and give you burns in return -- but Edmonton Laser Centre is professional through and through. The outside doesn't really shout "high end salon" -- no giant glass windows or modern furniture here. In fact, it's on the second floor of what looks like an almost run-down strip mall on 97st. But, inside, it's very clean, no-nonsense. Sort of reminds me of a Medicentre look. The technician who worked on me is an older woman who says she's been doing this for about seven years. She's very professional and sympathetic when you yelp a bit in pain (I went there for laser hair removal), but it's all very straightforward, no frills, no real conversation. If you want to feel super pampered or anything, this isn't the place for you. But, if you want to get rid of some unwanted hair, I'd give this place a try! She didn't explain much, only what was needed, handed me some cold air thing that looked somewhat pervasive and told me to spread em. She turned her machine on and I braced myself. Oh the pain. I had no idea the pain would be like this. With a minor smell of burning hair, I just kept reminding myself. Just one year and I'll never have to shave again. Just one year. No more razor burn. Within seconds it was over, and I don't think she got all the area I wanted, but I wasn't about to ask for more. All in all, I've already seen a difference and booked my next appointment (apparently i'm a sucker for punishment). The cold air thing really helped minimize the pain when I remembered I had use of my arms though. If you are looking to get this done, this company I would say so far are quite reliable and professional.

Additionally, they appear passionate in educating their team and patients about skin care regime, treatment approaches, medical skin concerns, and medication. They would only suggest or approve of treatments involving medication, laser, fillers, and such only if it is necessary for that patient. I was never pressured or "sold" on something. I also appreciate their updates on Facebook in regards to team spirit, products, and treatment results. I am grateful of having to be introduced to Dr. Taher and Kailey (Medical laser technician) by his colleage since when he was practicing as a provisional dermatologist several years back. Dr. Taher has such great bed side manner and patience with injection, electrodissectation, and biopsy. I am also suprised that he did no choose a career in pediatrics with his gentle mannerisms, enthusiasm, and great interpersonal skills. Treatments I have received and were found effective for myself were, but not limited to: Isolaz (moderate to severe acne), clear and brilliant (skin texture, hyperkeratosis, some lines), glycolic/afa peels, pulse dye laser for stretch marks on shoulders, and products. I have also seen Mckaela for peels, waxing, and isolaz. The zo Skin health line particularily the radical night repair 1% retinol and c 10% bright serum has I believe saved my skin from cystic acne and significantly prevented/reduced scarring in addition to isolaz. I believe proper skin care is an investment in which my skin has thanked me later. My additional favorite products are but not limited to: Zo daily defense lotion, zo renewal creme, eye hydra firm, zo 10% sulfur mask, vivier medicated cleanser, revision antiaging matte moisturizer, anacapse pill for hair loss, and UNIVERSE SKIN CARE. As I see it as challenging to find an antiaging night serum that is light in texture not causing breaking or further mila, UNIVERSE SKIN CARE is such an investment. I like that the serum is tailored to my skin needs that is combination of retinol, aloe vera, and zinc sulphate. I am also currently trying out the 14% glycolic with b (3 or 5) to prevent peeling as a take home weekly peel. As I see on reviews, images, and posts on fb, Dr Taher and his nurses seem quite skilled with lasers and injections; like their motto "Look good. Not done.". In the future when I am ready to invest in other treatment approaches, I will be visiting Dr. Taher and his nurses. Thank you.
