But I went in with an open mind, hoping simply to get gorgeous lashes by the end of it. The studio is really nice and clean, with fancy mirrors everywhere and a pretty table where you sit down with your lash stylist. Although I never actually learned her name, my girl was nice, and went through all of the information with me before heading over to the bed. That sounds really odd, but you lie down on a bed-type-sofa for the extensions. Ladies, if you wear contact lenses like me, don't wear them to the appointment. The process starts with the stylist taping your eyes nearly shut, and holy heck, were mine ever watering. I was really glad I decided to wear my glasses today. The first ten minutes or so are uncomfortable. Not painful, but very uncomfortable. I pushed through it, and eventually it was totally fine. I barely even noticed the tape after a while. The rest of the hour went by pretty quickly, all things considered. You can't see anything, you can just feel the stylist gently attaching the lashes on top of your own. I really had no idea what time it was or how close we were to being done, but it was over before I expected. The music helped the time go by quickly, although they really need to update their tunes. (Dido and Whitney Houston? I'll take Katy Perry and Britney Spears, please.) Overall, the experience was a little weird, but it didn't hurt a bit, which was my one biggest fear. And, I now have gorgeous, dark, long curly lashes that I'm simply in love with! A full set will run you close to $100 (cash only), and you're expected to get fillers three weeks later for another $60. While I'm happy with my first experience, I can't say yet with certainty that it will be worth it to go back and spend so much more. I suppose only three weeks time will tell!

Very disappointing experience especially with the way gift cards are handled…read more I am extremely disappointed with this company and, after this experience, I would not recommend purchasing gift cards from them. The gift card promotion was misleading, and when I questioned how it was being handled, the company did not honor what I understood to be advertised. What made the situation even more concerning was the handling of the gift card balances. What is especially concerning is that I had two gift cards that were actually on my account, while another two were gifts that had never even been added to my account. Yet somehow, there were questions surrounding balances and transactions on those cards as well. The whole situation left me with serious concerns about how the gift card balances and transactions were being managed. When I reached out to try to resolve the issue, I expected someone to look into it professionally and work toward a reasonable solution. Instead, the communication turned into an ongoing back-and-forth argument. Rather than trying to understand the customer's concern or find a resolution, the person handling the matter seemed more interested in defending their position and insisting on their own interpretation of the rules. I want to be clear that the staff I have dealt with in person have actually been the best part of this company. They have been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Unfortunately, the experience dealing with the owner or whoever deals with their email communication has been the complete opposite. The lack of customer service, willingness to listen, and professionalism was extremely disappointing. Customers should not have to argue repeatedly to have a company properly investigate a gift card balance or explain unexplained transactions. If a promotion is advertised, customers should be able to rely on those terms, and if there is a misunderstanding, the company should be willing to work with the customer rather than simply dismissing the concern. My advice: be very cautious when purchasing gift cards from this company. Based on my experience, I would not purchase them again. It has completely changed my perception of the business, which is unfortunate because the staff themselves have been wonderful.

If you haven't done threading before, then take note that you are expected to participate by tightening up the area (ie. Use hands above and below eyebrows, or use tongue underneath your lip). Usually it relatively painless, however I was slightly disappointed today as it was pretty painful and my pores were very obviously open more than usual. Sometimes when this happens, a breakout can happen. Keep this in mind to make sure yours and their hands are clean beforehand.
