Mud Bay is my main go to for supplies for my dobie. Healthy freeze dried treats and better kibbles. People are always friendly. I don't have anything negative to say about it. It's a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it if you also want to do right by your pup. read more

I have been a loyal Mud Bay customer for the past 6 years and have always enjoyed my interactions with the staff at the Shoreline location. Recently, they stopped selling my cat's favorite food so I had to start buying it on Chewy. I was near the Lynnwood location and thought I'd stop in to see if I could find a new food that my picky cat might like. I got her a new toy and some of her favorite treats while I was there and asked to sample a new food. In the past, employees have let me sample food with no issues. The employee at this location was very passive aggressive and said they only give samples if there's something going on with my cats health and I would need to explain the health issue in order to recieve a sample. I explained why I was looking for a sample and he didn't say anything and proceeded to ring me up for the item I wanted to sample. I would totally understand if the sample policy changed, but the way this was communicated felt rude and left me feeling put off by the exchange. He stared at me the whole way out of the store afterwards and I couldn't help but wonder what happened to be treated so aggressively. Unfortunately, I think I will continue to purchase from Chewy from now on. read more

Attempting to support this local pet store, but the back experience today was unpleasant. Despite my dog being leashed, the employee was rude and told me to ensure he doesn't pee on the barrel. My dog is trained, and that caught me off guard, so we left and shopped across the street at Petco, where they welcome everyone. read more

Just moved to the area a few months ago and ran out of my specialty food for my dog. He is allergic to EVERYTHING! No one else had what I needed so I tried Mud Bay. Even though they didn't have my exact brand, they had a few that were comparable and loaded me down with samples and advice for my little boy. Turns out my biggest problem wasn't finding a food he could eat, but finding JUST one because he loved all of them! Anyway, I just wanted to give a shout out to Ryan who helped me. I have heard nothing but good things about Mud Bay from my fellow dog parents. I couldn't wait to check out this store after puppy playtime at the nearby Petco. It is near a busy intersection and is located right next to Whole Foods. Parking can be a pain. Trust me, it's worth it though! As soon as I walked in, Zoro was super excited to explore the store. The atmosphere was calm. It's not as crazy and busy as Petco. We only saw two other dogs there during our visit. The store has an open layout with clearly labeled sections. There isn't a vast selection here like Petco or PetSmart. However, I am confident that every product here is high quality. I am relieved not to find Purina Puppy chow here. Haha. Zoro was greeted by multiple store employees and given a treat. He didn't like the first treat they tried to feed him so they got him another one. How thoughtful! I could already tell I would receive excellent customer service here. All the associates are friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They answered all my questions efficiently. I left with Zoro's first puzzle toy and new treat brands. I have a satisfied pup! TLDR: Organized, friendly, happy puppy. read more

My husband and I came into mud Bay as first time dog parents and not only were we in love with their wide selection of treats but also with the customer service we received by Jaimie. Jamie immediately approached me, answered some questions I had on CBD, went out of her way to pick out a few different wet foods for our dog to try, and even gave us a $5 coupon for next time as we were first timers. Had no idea this pet store was even around. I went in to get my new puppy some treats and a few other things. I was greeted right away and asked if I needed help. Both of the ladies were super sweet and helpful. I told them how picky my puppy is when it comes to treats and they gave me samples of some of the most popular ones people buy to take home to see which ones she will like. My husband & I recently found out 1 of our 4 cats has kidney disease. Overwhelmed with how best to care for him and also increase food quality for our other 3 to hopefully prevent this for them, we went to Mud Bay. Chris, the store manager, came up to us immediately to ask if we needed help. We explained our situation to him, he asked lots of questions, looked up some different foods in the computer and then went over to look at every one of the options with us. He was compassionate and understanding, a great listener, explained each food's pros and cons, and gave us samples to take home. He not only was concerned with our sick kitty, but also with keeping the other 3 healthy, all while considering the cost of all this for us. First time coming here and I recieved great service and had a fabulous time perusing their selection of toys, food and other necessities meant for the furry family members. I especially loved how everything had signs and labels. It made it very easy to find what I was looking for, and even items I didn't know I needed. What really impressed me were the two men who worked there. The service i received from them will keep me coming back instead of going to big chains like Petco and Petsmart....even if what I intend to buy is slightly more expensive. Upon hearing that I recently adopted two kittens from PAWS and had coupons for food, it seemed they couldn't wait to have me back to use them. Love this place! We havea bunch of pet stores where we live but we were out and about one day in Lynwood and decided to stop by Mud Bay. At the front door was a sign with outside vs car temperatures letting pet owners know this time of year is too hot to leave your pups in the car. As soon as we wlaked in (with our puppy) we were greated, she was given a treat and we were given help on finding a harness and leash for her. The salesperson was super nice and helpful, helping us find a set that would restrict our puppy from pulling when we take her on walks. They had a great selection of items. When we checked out we were ased if this was our first time here and then received a thank you card with a coupon for our next visit! Such great customer service! Over price compared to the other Mud Bay stores that I go to as well as other pet stores. The older lady tried to help me but I don't think she knows what she's talking about and wasn't that helpful with other suggestions for my puppy who is teething. Also, I got the feeling while paying my bill, she seemed annoyed. Well, not coming back to this Mud Bay ever again. This store has given me THE greatest customer service experience of *literally* any store that I've ever been to. All of the customer service associates know what they're talking about and have different areas of expertise. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and always eager to offer advice. Mud Bay has excellent products and food. They might be on the pricier side but they are very good quality products and Mud Bay has great return policy, not that I've ever had need to use it, but it's reassuring know that it's there. I got a new Lab/Shepherd puppy 4 months ago in addition to our two cats and the I've shopped at other pet stores in the area, but Mud Bay has the best quality toys and food, and the best people, that keep me coming back. read more

She is OUTSTANDING, so sweet, accommodating and answered every question I had with a smile! Asked me about my new dog and made me feel super comfortable in the store. Every employee came up to greet me and my dog but Holly just went above and beyond. Recognize her great efforts please! To contrast, I went to the Bothell location recently and employees there were quite cold and unwelcoming. I live closer to this location, but honestly I'd prefer going to the Lynnwood store instead just because of Holly and the overall great service! Thank you guys, keep up the good work. I came into this store initially b/c my puppy had a very sensitive stomach, and a picky eater too. All of the associate I came in contact are friendly, helpful, and well informed. You can clearly tell that they are dog/pet lovers, and can give you advice based on personal experience and customer reviews. They also gave me alternative solutions to help with toys that provide mental stimulation. Obviously, I became a regular. My puppy is still a picky eater but stomach issue is a thing of the past. :) read more

This place comes within the top five best customer experiences I've ever had- my dog passed away suddenly last week- we knew it was coming the day before because the vet took an X-ray and could see the cancer growth. I came here on my way to say good bye to buy a last treat. I explained to the guy in charge what was going on and he went into the back to retrieve the best food they had available- and then gave it to me as a free sample! As if that wasn't enough- he also gave me a hand written coupon for $5 off my next purchase. Such a human and caring response- it's hard to find customer service like that anywhere. Not a huge fan of Mud Bay. This location has a lot of good products, some are decent priced and others are very high priced. We used to go here to buy our dogs food until we had a couple of bad or awkward situations with associates here. One time we came in to get dog food but decided to take a look around first to see of anything jumped out at us. We suddenly had two associates by us, and they were clearly keeping an eye on us for some reason. My husband and I started trying to chat with them, thinking thet must be bored or something but they got really pushy about us finding what we need and then check out. So we grabbed the food we wanted and went to check out. Once at the counter I asked if they sold any flea meds, to which I was basically lectured for even considering doing such a thing to my dogs by both associates at the counter, but they never offered an alternative. So we paid for the food and left. Another time I was met by the dog food and led to the counter immediately to pay and then walked to the door. Mind you we have only been here maybe 5 times, we felt rushed to go every time. Overall I am just not impressed with the service here. We will continue to use Mud Bay as our backup food source, but honestly it's not our favorite pet store to go to. read more

I needed to make a stop to grab some treats and maybe a few other things. I've never been to mud bay before and I only decided to make a visit because my usual store was closed. The moment I walked in, I saw three people behind the counter and nobody greeted. Maybe they were too busy talking to each other? Oh well, I didn't mind I was in a slight rush anyways. I quickly grab a few treats then remembered I needed to pick up some shampoo for my fur baby. I stood there for like one minute and one of the employee asked how I was doing if I needed help. I quickly told him that I was good and that I am just looking. He then walked away. Not long after another came along and asked me the same thing..I felt a little rushed with my shopping experience. They weren't busy at all and for all I know I probably was the only one there. After grabbing a shampoo I decided to walk around the store to see if anything catches my eyes since I've never been here before. But the three employee kept eyeing me down for some reason. As I was about to walk to the biscuit area one of the employee asked if I was ready for checkout... forget the biscuits I'll just checkout now I guess. read more

We waked into this chain store unsure of what we would find. They have a diverse selection of products for both cats and dogs, and there are standard products in addition to the higher-end, organic products. The employees were very helpful, and we enjoyed the shopping process as we tried to find a few specific items for our cats. We would definitely go back for specific items, but I don't think I would change food brands or anything else like that to shop here. I definitely want to check out the litter box selection, though. My family and I quickly learned that not all dogs can eat all types of dog food, even if the kibble is considered "top of the line." I came to Mudbay looking for a limited ingredient food that I could trust, which includes knowing where it's made and having a variety of protein sources to choose from. Multiple associates here gave me recommendations based on what they feed their tummy-sensitive dogs. Eventually, I decided on Natural Balance, and my dog hasn't had the runs ever since; that was over 2 months ago!
