This is a Happy Hour Review Hrs 2-6 Mon-Fri - We got there around 4pm and was the only ones in the bar for a good 30mins! I have eaten at Mucho Mas several times!! It is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I love that it's 5 mins from me. We got the $8 margaritas $10 for blended - Jose the Bartender did hook us up because we were over tipsy but under drunk by time we left Sorry no pics of our actual meals but I got the Sope: it was fried really hard and my hubby got the wings. All I can say is we should have stuck with our usual sour cream enchiladas. Pat our server was so nice. He made sure we were taken care of. The ambiance takes us back to Playa del Carmen, MX - it's just beautiful inside!! There is a small parking lot. If I were you I would park on the street. I had dinner here for the first time since they reopened. I love what they've done with the dining room. While the old booths were always kind of cool, the new tables give it a fresher look. The good: The service was fantastic! That's rare to find these days. Our waiter told us he had been there for 41 years so they must treat their employees well. The Margarita flight was amazing! They have so many flavors to choose from and you get your choice of four flavors. The cheese enchilada was absolutely loaded with cheese and had a great cheese pull. It didn't include the peppers that our waiter asked us if we wanted, but it tasted great without them so that wasn't a big deal. The bad: While I loved the flavor of the shrimp fajitas I ordered, I was very disappointed that there was only six shrimp in the entire thing. At almost $25, I expected more than six shrimp. My new favorite Mexican spot! They have an amazing happy hour and the bartenders/servers are so down to earth. They seem to keep regulars easily because of how friendly the service is. I've seen multiple customers greet them by their name. They give unlimited hot chips and salsa and the chips are deep fried and crispy. SO good. Guac is also good, I'd get a medium to share between two. Their blueberry margarita is the best margarita I've had in my life. They recommended black cherry for next time since that also super popular! I got the $20 flight for four and they offer over 10 different flavors including peach, passion fruit, guava, jalapeño, blueberry, black cherry, Jamaica, kiwi, lychee, tamarindo, etc. I'd honestly come back for their margaritas alone. The good food is just a plus. Happy hour also includes beer! Mulitas only $10. 2-6pm everyday! They have lots of street parking and a parking lot as well. I used to come here many years ago. It was never my fave, but it was a good atmosphere and good food. When I realized they'd closed down I was a bit bummed. However, seeing them reborn again was a fun thing to see when it happened, so had to stop back in and see what the rebirth was like and happy to say I enjoy better nowadays; it could be due to some reminiscence, but I think the product is just better overall. This was my 2nd time coming I felt like the vibe was genuinely off. Customer service was not the best, the waiter did not check up on us once, and the people who got seated after us got their food before us which was disappointing. I took my family here for Mother's Day in hopes of starting the day off right but unfortunately my family and I felt like it just didn't hit or was satisfying. Overall, this was a great spot and I'd genuinely love for it to become our go-to neighborhood place since it's so close by. The happy hour food and drinks were both really good, and the atmosphere was solid. That said, I do think the tip recommendations should be based on the pre-tax subtotal, not the post-tax total. We still tipped 20% pre-tax, which is a completely fair and standard tip, but the service noticeably changed once our server saw it. I'm sad. It's taking me this long since it's one of my favorite Mexican restaurants of all time. Incredible food, always changing menu, and great service. Finally gave this place a try after passing by frequently on Burbank. It was well worth it, we got a carne asada quesadilla, carnitas nachos, shrimp cocktail and the spicy pasta. Everything was delicious, had great flavor and portions were huge ! Our only complaint was the wait time for food and the shrimp cocktail only had a few shrimps and mostly consisted of veggies. But once our food came out everything was perfect and hot so it was well worth the wait. Drinks are also yummy, we got regular and mango margaritas on happy hour. So, my partner and I went out for dinner on Cinco de Mayo. We knew it would most likely be a challenge anywhere we went due to the holiday. We started at our other favorites prior to going to the last resort Mucho Mas!. When we arrived, it was busy and we were greeted by a Server who remembered us, and by Patricio, an acquaintance of ours from before the fire. We used eat here at least once or twice a week. Service was so much better then. This time we put our name in for a table and we waited patiently. We even helped with calling out names to people also waiting for tables, but didnt here it called, because they barely raised their voice enough for them to be heard. More people came in and signed in after us. And it looked as if we were next to be called! Well, we were passed over at least twice by people who got there after us! This is so rude and unacceptable! We should have known not to even try this sorry excuse for a restaurant. We stopped going here a long time ago, because the food and drinks sucked. Milanesa that tasted like they poured a box of salt into it and drinks that tasted like paint thinner! I don't suggest this place to anyone! Oh and my friend was told by whoever responds to these reviews, that he/ we were not a good fit and to take our business elsewhere! This was very rude and dismissive and disrespectful of customers who tried to come back several times to be loyal, and were treated this way. We all know by know I love a Mexican restaurant, margs and flautas. That's no secret. Our party of 9 was seated at a perfect table beside the bar. The pitchers of margaritas flowed without a thought. Everyone ordered combo plates but I'd just had Mexican the night before and it was 1230p so I ordered the flautas appetizer plate (one beef, one chicken). Service was great!!
