I asked about the free consultation that they advertise on their website and he said that if he had to come out I would have to pay for his time and gas. While painting at night in my new house, I stumbled onto a dead roach. In my defense, I had never seen a live or a dead one before, so while I'm not proud of my actions I don't regret them: I FLIPPED THE H3LL OUT. It was bad. Real bad. I may or may not have screamed at my husband "I can return anything I WILL RETURN THIS HOUSE!" I searched Yelp for exterminators, and called MTB when I saw they were actually 'open' at the time (11pm). Milton called me back within 10-15 minutes, told me to send him a picture (obviously made my husband do that), assessed it over the phone, and said he could be there at 8 am the next morning to look/spray. I naturally spent the entire night alternating between hysterics and frantic internetting (worst idea ever). I realize now that one dead bug in the DMV does not an infestation make, and perhaps I may have overreacted the tiniest bit, but he was very good about explaining the type and behavior of my new 'friend' and at least not calling me crazy to my face. He was on time, polite, and searched through the house with us to look for signs of an infestation (found none, phew). He sprayed the inside and outside of the house, put some traps down, told us what to expect or what would be a sign of a bigger problem (more dead 'friends'...haven't seen them yet and it's been a week), and answered promptly when we called back with a few more questions after the treatment. While I didn't buy the deal through Yelp, he did offer me the same one. The visit and spray were $150. Pricing for other area exterminators seemed a bit higher, and one exterminator I called said they couldn't even come out for another two weeks. I can't even describe how wonderful it was to get the owner on the phone, at 11 pm, and to have him waiting at my door at 8 am the following morning. read more

Ridiculous. I was quoted at $539 annually (on a quarterly service schedule) for inside and outside general pest control for a single family home under 3000 sq ft. In my response to my question of what happens if there's an issue in between a quarterly visit, the answer was that one of the four allocated-per-year visits would be used. Hmmm. Guess if some persistent ants or spiders decide to pay you a visit a few times at the beginning of the year, you're screwed come summer. read more

I contacted MTB about a rodent issue. They were really responsive at first and were able to get someone to the house the next day to close up any holes and leave rodent equipment. However, the first guy was not actually able to close all of the holes, because one was behind the stove. He indicated that his associate would be able to take of it in the next couple of days, but it was very difficult to contact this other guy, and he was not available. So now, I have a half completed extermination process, and MTB is being non-responsive. read more

I haven't actually had a chance to hire Milton (yet), but I wanted to leave a review regarding his response time and general professionalism. I'm in an awkward situation where I'm on the west coast, trying to sell a house on the east coast, and I have a bunch of minor repairs that need to be done before the date of the closing. One of those repairs is a pest treatment for powder post beetles, and I'm having an insanely hard time even getting other companies to answer my calls or e-mails - including the company that performed the original inspection and estimate! Milton answered my call from inside an attic, and followed up via e-mail within a few hours. He's been beyond understanding with regards to my extremely tight timeline, and the quote he gave me was quite reasonable. Unfortunately (well, sort of unfortunately), my realtor has in the meantime found and scheduled another company to come in and do the work within 12 hours. Milton's turn-around time was more like 24-48 hours. In normal circumstances, that's a stellar turn-around time, but a looming house sale makes even 12 hours matter. If for some reason things fall through with my realtor's selected company, I'll get back in touch with Milton. It's extremely reassuring just to know that a company as professional as MTB exists, and I strongly suggest that you hire them for your pest-control needs. read more

I found MBT through Yelp and read the reviews on Angie's list. I spoke with several companies including Terminex and decided to go with them when I found out I had a pest control problem. I was nervous because the service wasn't cheap using any companies but after speaking to Milton Sr and insisting (initially felt they wanted me to commit without a home visit) that I wanted an inspection before committing, I found him to be very knowledgeable about the issue I was having as well as the 30 day guarantee. MTB was very responsive and were able to come out with a pretty quick turnaround after we contacted them. Milton was very professional and clearly knowledgeable and experienced. We requested a treatment for general pest control - spiders, centipedes, roaches, etc - your typical English basement visitors during the DC warmer months. We've used a few other pest control companies before, but none have been as thorough as MTB. The spraying inside and outside was thorough, copious sticky traps were set, and he even sealed up holes and openings where bugs could get inside from. Nothing's ever going to be 100% effective when you live in a basement, but after a month, we'd say we're as close to bug free as you can get. Best part is how affordable they are for the quality and they don't push you into contract commitments. We'll definitely be coming back to MTB for future pest treatments and issues. read more

Found MTB through Angie's List. I was so happy to find a pest control company with Sunday hours. I called for a bed bug inspection on a Sunday morning, and within an hour Milton was at my home. He was very professional, friendly, and thorough. Turns out we only had one bed bug, so Milton did some preventative spraying and recommended some steps we could take to prevent future problems. Yellow jackets living in our wall! Contacted MTB yesterday and Milton Sr. came this morning. I had tried to spray them myself but since they were in the wall the spray could not get them. MTB treated with a dust and said if they are not gone in 3 days that he would return to re-treat for no charge. If found Milton to be very friendly, honest, and professional. I went into my kitchen one morning and saw two baby cockroaches - my biggest fear. I was so disgusted and immediately began googling pest control companies, fearing that I had an infestation. MTB had great reviews so I left them a message and got a call back in less than half an hour. I had a pretty busy week so Milton offered to come at 6AM to fit my schedule. We ended up scheduling it for 7AM on a Saturday but I was so relieved that both appointments were offered - no other company would come that early or even come on a weekend without extra charge. Milton did a thorough inspection and told us that we didn't have a huge problem, it was nothing some spray and bait couldn't take care of. It's only been a few days but I haven't seen any more of those heinous creatures so as of now, I am really pleased! Milton was friendly, flexible, and extremely accommodating.
