I went there because my car started overheating as I was going to get an oil change at "Jiffy Lube" while I was there "Jiffy Lube" they told me my car was overheating because my coolant needed to flushed and that would fix the problem, for of course only $109 dollars. So I called my boyfriend & said that I needed a $109 dollars. He said I was crazy & to come home. So a pissed off little lady I went home and let my boyfriend take my car to Mastertech. They took a look at it and found out it was just a sensor. Not only that but that they would have the part delivered and the car done in just a few hours for only $145 dollars. They went above and beyond. I was stuck in Oregon on my way back to Utah alone with my 5 kids b/c my A/C went out in the middle of July. It was in the 90s and I didn't want to have to drive all that way with little ones without A/C. I had gone to O'Reily's previously to get a A/C recharge, which ended up being a bad idea. I showed up at this place with 30 min before the technician was suppose to go home and an hr before closing. They all stayed until almost 8 pm that night to make sure my A/C was working. Not only that, they were very nice, offered us food and water to help us with the time. They explained everything so we understood and I just felt like I had found a great place to help us. Plus a few days later they called to see how things were going and I got to ask them a few more questions. I wish they were in Utah, I would definitely go back. read more

I had a lot of repairs that were needed on my 2006 HHR on the engine and suspension. They were excellent at keeping me updated on further needed repairs as they were working on the car, shared the technical information, repair and pricing options and time-line of completion. they even brought in a special piece of equipment to perform an important test (at no charge to me), this test located the issue so they could make the appropriate repairs (providing me with options). They carry the 50,000 mile warranty and one year roadside assistance on their work. How can you go wrong choosing MTA Automotive! I now feel safe again driving my HHR. Wow the 2 reviews I read were not very happy? I can only give you a review of my experience. I bought a 2001 ML320 from a brother in-law in Arizona a year ago and have been looking for someplace I could trust for quality work a fair price and honesty. I have found Master Tech Automotive in Gresham to be that place. Their evaluation of my ml320's condition was spot on (Honesty). For being a Mercedes I feel better about the bill then I would at a Mercedes Dealer (Fair). Everything repaired is working correctly (Quality). Darren and his crew always treat me like family and they are up front with what needs to be done then they break it down to the most important thing that should be worked on first. I took in my 1994 Infiniti J30 for a long-needed oil change and received the comprehensive 46-point inspection, both printed and web. The web version was quite helpful in color-coding the most to least urgent issues. Within 48 hours of taking the car in, Darren and the workers were able to take care of all four urgent issues--rack and pinion leak, dirty transmission fluid, battery corrosion, and streaking wiper blades. I had a wonderful experience here at this shop. I wish I could remember the names of the specific mechanics who were working on my car- they were great, and really knew what they were doing. Customer service was excellent, I felt like they all did a great job at staying in communication and helping me understand exactly what was going on with my car. Had my vehicle in for an intermittent stalling problem. Unfortunately, due to the fact that it is virtually impossible to diagnose an electrical/electronic problem when everything is working properly, Anthony was unable to locate the problem even after spending umpteen hours over 3 days. For the time that was spent I feel that the dollars charged was very fair. There were no problems with Master Tech, only my vehicle refusing cooperate with them. Having moved back to the area recently, the A/C in our Sunfire wasn't working. Being the middle of summer, we really needed that A/C. We were staying at a hotel nearby and went to MTA in Vancouver and they were quick and did a good job! We were impressed! Now a few months have gone by and the Sunfire needed the brakes worked on. From the minute I walked in everyone was incredibly polite and professional but friendly also. They diagnosed the problem and within 2 hours they had a new master brake cylinder installed.
