After waiting over three hours in the cold and rain for another tow truck that never showed, we called JD's Towing on a whim -- and I'm so glad we did! Jordan answered right away and arrived promptly, even though it was his day off. He got us safely to the shop, made sure we were taken care of, and even followed up afterward to see how things were going. Jordan came to jump-start my car when my battery died. He arrived quickly and was friendly. Offered great advice on things I can do to improve performance of my car battery. Even gave me his business card and told me I can call directly if need service in the future - that way I can get help quicker and he bills my insurance directly. Overall, it was above and beyond what I would expect for roadside assistance. read more

Maybe he has hit a rough spot in life, I'd used him 2 times over a year ago and it went well. However, he is not reliable right now and I would not use him under any circumstances. Tuesday I had a breakdown returning to Portland from Seattle. We scheduled a time at 5pm for him to meet me in Castle Rock and agreed to a price. He wrote at 4pm to say his current job was taking longer than expected. I wrote him at 5 and asked for an ETA. Called him at 6. Texted again. No response. Finally at 6:30 I had to start looking for another tow truck, and by then it was after hours and the prices go up. The guy from Jacobson's Chevron had to leave home to come get me. Good guy, And we were able to get the car home, but it was hundreds of dollars more than what Tony had offered. No explanation ever came, no text, no call, nothing. And stuck paying hundreds of more dollars. Really strange as a repeat customer especially. Avoid Urban Miner until he corrects what is going on and addresses how his business reviews are tanking...

They clearly have no system in place. There's no organization, no communication between staff, and no structure for helping customers. One person says one thing, another says something completely different. It feels chaotic and completely unprofessional. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. A correction to meet the State's prim-and-proper dress code. Still met with a laissez-faire attitude. When I picked her up, her glasses were still broken. I took the fix into my own hands--parts shop on the way home, a couple of tenners, a little elbow grease, done. Next up, the key fob. The emergency key was missing, the kind of detail that only matters when it matters. I brought it up, like an old lover who still believes a wrong turn should end with a nightcap and an apology. Instead, it turned from good cop to bad cop faster than a red carpet turns into a doormat. Then Murphy made a house call. The battery went low. She wouldn't let me in, like a partner who caught me gambling with the rent money. I used my one free call to get a locksmith to bail me out. Time and money burned on something promised on the first date. Next the check engine light blinked into life like it couldn't wait to hand me a bill and a lecture. Workmanship you could hang your hat on. I'd finally gotten the full meal deal, but I'd lost my wallet in the process. I figured I'd give Freeman one last chance to make things right. I'd played this scene before, back when deals were clean and handshakes meant something. Back then, I had a number in my head and they hit it like a sharpshooter. Few reasons over time. New to Portland in November I locked myself out of my vehicle. July two calls for batteries, one for myself and one for my daughter. - he went above and beyond and actually cares about the person, their safety and what he's doing and goes that little extra mile to make sure that it's all good and that the driver is safe with that vehicle. You want somebody honest? You want somebody that actually cares? You want somebody that will go above and beyond and won't do anything that doesn't need to be done. This is your guy. I highly highly recommend Jordan and his company. They are like no other. I called JD's towing at 8 pm on a Thursday night, from Dallas. My son was in downtown Portland, at night, with a broken down vehicle. I called several other towing business and thankfully, Jordan was the first one who answered. I say "thankfully" because Jordan was fantastic. He was towing the car within an hour and dropped it off at the dealership we requested. He communicated with my son throughout the entire pickup process and let him know when the car was safely at the dealership. Jordan sent the invoice to me and I paid it online. Hopefully, my son will never need a tow truck again but if he does, we will call JD's towing! read more

Very pleased with the service. Friendly driver who responded to the call quickly. I told dispatch (who was the owner) where I wanted the car left and lamented that I'd have a hard time getting it into the garage. The owner showed up with the driver to offer help getting it pushed in. Thankfully, the car ended up in some kind of "limp" mode that allowed me drive it in, but you just don't see that kind of helpful service much these days. Big thumbs up. read more

I ran out of gas while out near the coast and ended up calling another company I found on google. They ended up calling JD's Towing and Jordan drove out near the coast to deliver some gas to me. He was super personable and was very honest since it seemed like the company that I had called earlier were using some sketchy practices. Car had a locked steering wheel and key wouldn't turn. Called them up to give it a tow. Jordan asked what was going on and said my trucks out but I can run over and try to get it unstuck.
