I called and requested a tow from my house to my mechanics which is only a mile away. I called on Sunday to schedule it on Monday morning. The driver said he'd be here between 9-10. I txted him in the morning to confirm and he said he be here at 10am. The driver shows up at 1015 and proceeds to tell me that this car needs to be moved and that one needs to be moved neither of which I own. He then says ill need tk get into my rig and turn the wheel i informed him that the rig doesnt run and he says i dont care just do as i told you. I told him indkny appreciate his attitude and to just leave. Im not gonna have someone who is working for me give me an attitude like that. Firstbhe didnt show up during thw timeframe window he said he would even after confirmation and then all sorts of attitude. Aftet I sent him packingn I called Affordable towing at +1 (503) 780-8276 and they were at my doorstep in 15 minutes and I didn't have to do anything. Both cars were there and the driver back right in and asked if I could help him turn the wheel. I never mentioned that I had just sent a tow truck driver packing. These guys rock! We had the engine of our Mitsubishi rebuilt at a shop up in Camas, WA and had to get the body of the car up there for installation. 3 Boys was able to come the same day we called, and had everything we needed. The car has all wheel drive and is lowered, and 3 Boys handled it carefully. We got a flatbed and the guy used 2 by 4s to ease the car up on the bed. He took his time and was very careful not to scrape any low parts of the car- which was VERY IMPRESSIVE! They had a flat fee - no extra mileage, which was important to us since the car had to go 20 miles. Also he was fast and a friendly person. We highly recommend 3 Boys towing! read more

We needed our car towed from the shop. The first tow company never showed up after we were waiting a couple of hours past when they said they would be there. They then cancelled on us. We called Three Boys Towing and they said they could be there in a couple of hours, They got there earlier so we didn't have to wait at the shop as long. The driver was incredibly courteous and couldn't have been more professional. They made a very lousy day a lot better. If I need another tow I will certainly give them a call. read more

Sometimes I wish I had an Omega 13 to hit in times of emergency. Not the universe exploder but the 13 second reset version. Why? Because when your Mini's tire explodes,thankfully not after turning inside-out first, with no spare tire in sight (Hey, I can find parallel parking in the Pearl in 5 min which apparently translates to no cargo room for spares under the boot) your trekking commune with nature gets prolonged by another 3 hours. [sigh.] A little more up close & personal with the wilderness than I'd planned on and nothing around to construct a rudimentary lathe with either. Fortunately, rescue came in the form of 3 Boys Towing recommended to us by our helpful roadside assistance technician. Needless to say, my shriveled up heart leaped for joy at the sight of that dear old flatbed tow truck. The fact that they charge a $27 hookup fee instead of $90 and 50% less for the same towing distance as the not-so-friendly competition is even better. And the friendly nice driver who also happened to be the owner was the cap to a cold dark wait in the middle of nowhere. Our car has been breaking down at a pretty steady rate for the past few months, so when it finally died, it wasn't that much of a surprise. Just an inconvenience. We still needed to get it out of the parking lot, though, so my boyfriend called 3 Boys. They said that there would be a tow truck out there in 90 minutes. So we waited for 90 minutes. At close to two hours, my boyfriend calls them again. Oh, they tell him, our truck broke down. Ok, he says, so what's the plan? When will it be here? Oh, they tell him, we're actually not coming out at all. We're done for the day. But they wouldn't have told us this had we not called. My advice? Don't waste your time with these guys. There's other towing out there for faster, cheaper, and with better customer service. read more

3 Boys Towing was beyond helpful. My Explorer decided it no longer wanted the alternator and caused a major inconvenience while working. My insurance, USAA, setup a tow with 3 Boys Towing and they were out before the estimated time. Not only did I get a call from them at the initial request, but I also received one when the driver was coming back from Gresham. This was on a Friday, so traffic is at an all time high. The Driver was exceptionally helpful and respectful. This service is reliable and very professional. I would recommend them to anyone. I have free towing with my insurance company. When I got the info it was them I was Leary as I remembered the viral video. I figured there probably really nice or aholes. I was in a employee parking lot in a locked gate so it was a pain to find and a pain to get in. Joe called and was nice the whole time having small troubles finding the gate. It was super cold out and he made sure the truck was warm for me to sit in. He was before the ETA time about 20 min before. He was super nice even after having to find me. He made sure I was warm and after crying because my car had to be towed he was very nice and we laughed joked talked about movies stories and made my bad day not so bad on the ride. He was quick, efficient, professional did his load and unload in a timely manner. I was impressed and would use them again. I would also recommend them to anyone. I'm not usually one to complain about a company, but what just happened to me shocked me enough to feel the need to post it for my Portland friends. Two days ago, our car broke down in NE Portland. We called our insurance and they sent out a contracted towing company out of West Gresham: 3 Boys Towing. I asked on the phone if they take credit cards, the owner said yes, but then when the driver arrived he said cash only. I then asked the driver about the pay and mileage because I thought I was being overcharged, and he said he just gets the info from his boss. So I figured I could just work it out with his boss afterwards. Wow, big mistake. The next day, after all the towing was in the past (the driver was great, by the way), I decided to call the boss to ask for details about what exactly it was that I paid for. He started raising his voice on the phone, telling me that I was "bitching and moaning" about the bill. I honestly felt like I was being polite and just asking him typical questions about my service. I couldn't believe that he was actually telling the customer that they are bitching and moaning... I mean, even if I was, the company ought to be as respectful to the customer as possible, right? So after a few more minutes of this, he told me that if I wanted to call back the next morning (today) at 8:30am, then we can all talk with the driver and confirm the mileage and price. So I call back this morning at exactly 8:30am like he said, and he proceeds to raise his voice at me again and tells me that if I call back one more time it will be harassment! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Anyway, I tried to wrap up the conversation as best I could, trying to help him understand that he was treating me poorly, but he just didn't seem to be open to hearing another person's perspective. I would certainly not recommend 3 Boys Towing. If my car ever breaks down again, I would definitely prefer being stranded another few hours than have to deal with that again. read more

After what has to be the longest day I've had in some time, it was refreshing to hear the excellent quote from Mike at 3 Boys Towing. Not much later in rolled the flat bed and off went my buick regal. From swan island to southeast vancouver at 9pm and it was very very reasonable. The driver even went out of his way to ensure my low hanging tailpipe didn't scrape on its way up. This company is very professional and puts in the time to make you feel safe. The price was half of the competition. I tipped the driver and saved their number under emergencies, I will definately use them again! read more

The driver I was with was the nicest (and least creepy) driver I've ever had to ride with. Cheap too. Sounds like they dealt with that employee. That's just the reality of employing people. My grandson's (new to him) 1997 Ford diesel stopped working. After trying for several hours to get it going, someone told him it was electrical so we needed to tow. We call 3 Boys. It's Labor Day...I was expecting the worst but got the best! They texted when they were en route.. and showed up faster than the hour they thought. If there EVER was a good, honest towing company, THIS is the one! Based on the first reviewer's 5-star review, I called 3 Boys Towing. Indeed, the owner quoted me a FLAT FEE of only $75...no hook up, nothing extra. Period. One competitor's fees started at $79 plus $35 for the first 6 miles, PLUS $5 per mile after that. The driver showed up ready to do the work, and due to some extenuating circumstances, I ended up not needing the tow after all. Most towing companies would tell you "tough luck, cough up the $75" but he charged me only $25, saying that he runs an honest company, helping out honest people. I tipped him kindly and promised I would spread the word to all who need a tow. Yelp is awesome! Please call 3 Boys Towing when you need it...and tell your friends! read more
