I along with many others are honestly extremely disappointed with this establishment recently as…read moreyou fail to provide basic necessities such as resistance bands or proper attachments for machines. We pay more for this gym than others near combined and shouldn't have to spend almost $20 extra for something that should be provided by a gym. On top of this nearly everyday there is something going on in base camp that should be hosted in one of the yoga rooms, base camp is very popular and should be accesible for ALL paying members when they want to use it.

I chose this gym because I thought the price would make it more of an adult setting and not a bunch…read moreof teens and screaming kids, but I was wrong. They cater to the kids and dues paying, working adults come secondary. They sell you on all the amenities like pool and spa, but fail to tell you that If you work a job like most adults you will never be able to use the pool or spa without screaming kids or groups of teens playing grab ass, the no diving or horseplay is never enforced. Think they set aside time for hardworking, paying adults to swim in peace, nope think again Mon-Fri 12pm to 7pm is family time and when they run their second business of paid swim lessons. That's right you pay your dues so they can charge others extra for swim lessons during peak after work hours. So as a working person you can not swim laps or avoid screaming kids jumping in the spa. Oh, but if you want to come in at the crack of dawn or right at closing time you can swim laps, pretty hard to do if you work a regular job. They also do a horrible job keeping kids off the machines which will be your only option since the pool is off limits while you are there. And if it's volleyball season they rent out the racquetball courts to high school teams to practice. Avoid at all costs, and it's an expensive one, if you want to workout or relax in peace as this is a afterschool hangout and they are all on their phones sitting on machines, even kids on phones in the spa watching videos and no one ever comes thru to police anybody.

Lyndi was my first CrossFit coach, back when CF PFB was a garage box in Yelm, WA. She started me…read moreoff so well that I was able to step right into a bigger box when she and co-owner/husband, Ben, moved to Oregon. Due to the driving distance being "only" 2.5 hours, I went to their current box once for a memorial WOD, in August, 2013. The facility is spacious and the equipment new. The layout is well-planned and efficient. There is only one restroom, but I never saw anyone waiting in line ;) They have a challenging 800m run course that goes uphill! Coaching is fantastic. I didn't work out under Ben too much back in their garage box, but he provided me with the support and positive critiques on my visit here, that I expect from CrossFit coaching. He's very motivational and yet cognizant of physical limitations (I have a bad shoulder). Lyndi is still as great a coach as always, too. She has a way of inspiring more effort, just when I think I can't do any more. After giving me the basics, she has continued to applaud my progress on Facebook - a friend as well as a coach. :) Community - as I said, I was only here once for a memorial WOD, but I met several people who were friendly and encouraging, cheering for each other (and me). I would imagine they are like that with their fellow athletes on a regular basis. I wish I had been able to go WOD with Lyndi and Ben more, but will always be thankful for their introduction to CrossFit that set me on a lifelong path of functional fitness. If you have never tried CrossFit, don't short yourself - go do it! Someone might look at me, a 58-year-old woman with a bad shoulder, and not think it advisable to do such extreme workouts. The key is in the coaching! The key is in how CrossFit can be scaled to give the best results for each individual, no matter your fitness level, age, or physical limitations. At CrossFit PFB, you will get healthier and do things you never imagined you could do.

I am a good 50+ pounds overweight so going to the gym has never been pleasant, I am a little self conscious. I get a great workout every time I go here and I enjoy it a lot. If you're a parent and care about your child's safety, I wouldn't recommend enrolling at this gym!…read moreI'm writing this review not just as a parent who pays $150 per month for my membership with childcare, but also as a school director myself ,and a mandated Oregon State child safety reporter. Before posting this review, I have tried contacting the owner several times about child safety -- with no response. Here are a couple of child safety issues I have observed: -- Instance #1: About two months ago on a week night, a one and a half year old ran out from the kids center. And due to short staffing, it wasn't noticed by staff members. Luckily, I stopped the child from running out to the gym floor. When I brought this to the director's attention, (Cindy), she said that it never happened because the cameras didn't see it happen. Scoffing and rolling her eyes. She then got back on her tablet, and ignored me. --Instance #2: The child care was short staffed. When this happens, they put the older kids with the infants/toddlers. On a few of those instances, other parents and I, have seen the older kids hurt the smaller children (violently at times). After witnessing this, I tried to find the Director and she was no where to be found. She was on "Break". -- Instance #3: Last night (4/7/26) at roughly 5:15 pm. There was one staff member to probably 20 kids. I tried to talk to the director. Once again, she rudely rolled her eyes at me. Then her and the front desk girl started laughing and mocking me. And said within earshot, "What's her f**** problem". Hopefully after posting this review the, child safety issues are addressed. And the employee culture as well. ***Review update: The owner finally contacted me, and he said all the right things. I will update the review further if changes regarding the safety issues and toxic employee culture are truly addressed. ***
