But now that I'm retired, I am not sure that I will be able to continue because their rates have gotten very high and they have no discount for seniors. The owner, Jeff is a horrible person and even though I was told I wasn't going to be charged again and I could use my services through the 15th of the next month. I was charged twice only refunded half of that and because I got emotional because I've recently become homeless because of death in the family. He called the cops on me for no reason I didn't even cuss at him in the gym or anything like that I was trying to explain my situation completely un empathetic not a family establishment and disgusting. Everything is so filthy. I got in the hot tub and in the pool and there were mounds of hair. Then when I went into the shower, there was mold and mildew everywhere plus more hair. The shower mats haven't been replaced in years. Neither has the shower curtains, The hot tub was foaming with who knows what. And the stairs have obviously been not cleaned because they were slippery and filled with mildew. Super gross zero out of 10. read more

My dad used to come to this gym when he was a powerlifter, and I have been coming here since I was in college in 2012. I love this place. There is a variety of machines, cardio options, and classes to choose from every day. Keep up the great work. read more

I recently moved here from out of state and looked at a couple different local gyms to continue my workout routine. Lyft Fitness was my ultimate choice and I have zero regrets. There is a lap pool with hot tub, a basketball court and plenty of free weights/ resistance machines for any resistance training program needs. There are also a smoothie bar, spin training/ heavy bag room and a powerlifting type area. There are various classes, tanning booths and child care available but I can't really vouch for them as I haven't used those amenities personally. The facility is clean and well maintained, even the older resistance machines are well kept and work well. The locker room is very spacious and there are lots of "day use" lockers available. Clean small wipe-down towels are free to use at the desk and and there's an app available to download in order to sign-in and do various gym related things as well. The parking lot is spacious and has a security camera system to deter and/or monitor nefarious activity. The rates are reasonable, especially if you pay by the year. I highly recommend! read more

As an active duty Sergeant in the United States Army I was heavily disappointed in which the way I was treated. The older bald man at the front desk refused to take my online three day pass because I didn't have a state ID. I just got back from overseas and wanted to simply get a workout in but I was betrayed by my own community. Even showing my Kansas ID and my military ID I was forced to pay a $20 fee for a one day pass. I was nice and asked why because I am originally from Gresham. Absolutely ridiculous! When I asked to see the policy that they had on the matter they refused to show me and said either come in or leave the gym. I would ask all my brothers and sisters, active duty or retired to not attend this gym. Would not recommend again. read more

Edit: I added a star because the manager called and left me a very kind, apologetic voicemail after I sent a rather upset email and an offer to make things right. I'll give them another shot. Pros: biggest gym in Gresham. Tons of machines so you usually have space from other people. Pool, classes, sauna, and hot tub all included in the membership. Cons: the people that work here are the rudest I have ever dealt with in a gym. You'll get constant emails encouraging you to share free buddy passes but they don't actually honor those and want to charge your friend $20. I have no idea where the sauna is and the hot tub is TINY. The place smells really bad, like poor ventilation bad, and is very old. They have a broken app they insist on using for everything. If I could go anywhere else, I could, but the location is convenient and it's very hard to cancel in typical gym format. The second COVID numbers go up again I'll be canceling, this place is nasty in multiple ways. read more

What's the point of a three day pass ? I guess at this gym it's to turn potential members off. I am new to the state and don't have a current ID. The kid with curly hair starts interrogating me with questions, how long have you been here, where do you live blah blah. He finally ALLOWED me to use my free three days that I got from a member there. Kid had no common courtesy, didn't show me around the gym to get familiar. I already have a membership at LA fitness, worth the ten extra dollars if you ask me. I wanted a gym closer and a little cheaper, but you get what you pay for, poor service and rude gen Z kid on steroids. Don't waste your time trying this gym out. Best gym in town. I've been to a few gyms in the area and this is my favorite. I love all the equipment here. There's everything I need, including lots of free weights. What I REALLY love is the spa area with the saltwater pool, steam room, sauna, tanning and showers. Sometimes I want to just live here! read more

This is the WORST gym on the planet. I found out they lied to me about how their "memberships" are. I explained to the owner that I can NOT sign a contract because my neck is broken, having major surgery, could become a quadriplegic and at the very least won't be able to be in a gym for a year. They told me no problem and when would I need to cancel and I told them July 2023. I was only at this gym for a few months. JUST was told by some kid that who I spoke to put it as "frozen" which I guess means I'm supposed to pay. He said everything is a contract and I said that wasn't what I was told. he basically said tough and I owe them money. To take advantage of someone with a disability is DISGUSTING and I even have medical records to prove it. DO NOT GO HERE, they can put whatever notes they want in your account. read more

If you get a membership make sure you ask for all their hidden fees I've had so much taken out of my account from them and I call to ask and it's just more random things that they never tell you about and to cancel a membership you have to pay another month even if you're isn't over yet. One of the better gyms in Gresham! Everything is always clean and the staff is friendly. Members take care of the equipment and there is always cleaning supplies available to use. Can't beat the membership rates they have for everything you have available to you. read more

I had an injury last year that caused me to be unable to use my membership. I explained this, and they told me I'd have to pay the rest of the 11 months anyway since I signed up for the full year. They offered to freeze my account for a couple months so I wouldn't have to pay, and it would resume after that. I just called to finally cancel since the year is up, and they told me 'Those frozen months, you still have to pay for them.' That's NOT how this was explained to me. So now I'm injured AND I've given them a full year's worth of a membership for nothing. read more

kind of happy with this lyft gym,,,, who does auga fit classes in the pool 6 days a week for 1 hour perday from 930 am to 1030 am and again from 630 pm to 730pm thats rediculas its nice to have the class but , i have checked other gyms in the area they dont do this ,, i started going earlier this gym plus some of there eqipment are broken i saw the matenance man there ,, i told him when he was down stairs about the problem ,, really bad attitude like he really could care less if its broken,and i wanted to swim in the pool but i cant , i drive almost 15 miles for a pool andfor this paying a lot of money for this gym,, and now l,,,,a,,, fit,,ness, they only have auga fit classes 3 days per week,,, and will be checking out other gyms in the area read more

I am trying to get my muscles back and the pool really helps for that. The lasses are great...love the yoga and pilates - if I can get back to doing those...really great exercise! There might be gyms that are more expert or high level, but for me it's a good fit to keep going here, because it's at my level. A family has been running it for a long time, and I find that that familiarity helps me feel trust and keeps me going back. I've been going for years now, especially in the last three years when I started focusing on really getting in shape. They are willing to work out deals and personalize programs for me and my girlfriend, which you can't get at bigger impersonal gyms where you just have to fit into their pre-made programs. Also, Julie who works at the front makes amazing shakes with any ingredient that you want. Like if you want orange, she will peel a whole orange and put it into your shake. She is awesome, and they all are. I'm fortunate I have something like them. It makes me look forward to staying in shape. read more

Disappointed with my recently experience, especially since I use to tell people that I loved this place! Here's my background story. OnPoint sent out all new cards with chips, expiration changed on the cards right... well it declined on my gym membership for Olympic. I received 3 text messages (including one from a personal cell number) asking to resolve the problem.. no big deal other than I got them all with in an hour while at work and NO I'm not sending you card information to a private cell number. I also recieved emails from abc regarding this. Made it in on my next day off to fix the problem, manager never told me I was going to be charged for a late service fee.. after working at LA fitness for 3-4 years I was expecting maybe a $5 fee. Nope! A $20 service fee.... wtf?! Harassment level of LA and a ridiculous late fee. Called and left a message for the manager to call me back. No call. Came in to freeze my membership, I only use it while I'm in school, the manager handed me a card to the abc company and said they handle that. I've froze my membership in the past and have ALWAYS done it there. Then I asked "well what if I just cancel?" He told me they'd also handle that. Then turned around and walked away. Where's the customer service there! Be careful with this place!! Sneaky and bad business practices. read more

The gym just gets better and better. They now have a great app that interacts with your gym activities plus a reward program. And if that wasn't enough you won't find people more friendly. Like for instance two years ago when I decided to start working with weights and I got stuck in the back extender - the wrong way! - and one of the staff came and got me out. We both laughed- because how can you not and he showed me how to use that machine and the others. Very very very cool! And they are doing more and more updates and upgrades. I am an avid sauna user and they have the best sauna in the entire Portland area. I've been to a ton of gyms to test out their saunas and most gyms rarely clean their saunas, especially LA Fitness. This sauna is clean with tile floors and walls, it is very hot at 190 degrees and they never turn it off so it is hot if you get there first thing in the morning. Used to be a frequent member here and was pleased with the staff and facilities. Wanted to join back up after being out of town for a few years and its been less than pleasant to re join. They used to offer pretty decent monthly member fees and now they dont want to honor my previous fees. There are 2 other local gyms who I can sign up with for much cheaper. Not everything is about cost but also the overall customer service has been poor. Might have to sign up elsewhere which makes me sad but I cant handle the poor customer service. Your running a business and potential new members should be treated better imo. read more

They say to give 30 days notice when you need to cancel your membership, and so, because I'm moving to Denver, I put in my notice 40 days out. The issue, however, is I was just under 2 weeks out from my billing cycle date, and so even though I told them on April 1sr that May 8th is my last day, they're requiring me to pay all the way through May 26th. Seriously? You're gonna rob me of 18 days worth of membership fees when I'm giving you this much notice? I've worked for gyms and fitness companies- and none of them jack with you the way this place does. What a rip off...LA Fitness, Cascade, Bally's....anywhere other than this place is a wiser investment. Trust me. read more

I LOVE this gym. I LOVE this gym so much, I don't want to even shoot em a review. It's my secret! Ugh, but I feel like I owe it to them... I joined this gym in February this year, and have been working out 4-5 days a week since. I know not everyone would rate this gym 5 stars - but it was everything I was looking for: pool, 24 hours, lots of machines, free weights, tanning, women's area, personal trainers, free classes, no contract, GREAT price. What you won't find: cleanliness, 'meatheads', 100% working anything, annoying staff, hidden fees, lines for machines or contracts. I haven't used the Child care, but there is one!
