It is the best gym, and I mean gym left in Portland area. We travel from Salem to use the great variety of equipment for real lifters. We are so done with these fitness centers, judgement free zones (as long you agree with the fitness center) excuse for training. If you use too much weights you will intimidate other guests. Oh lets have pizza Thursdays. What a joke these fitness centers are. Olympic Gym is very clean, easy access, swimming, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi. The staff is awesome and willing to assist you with any of your training needs. also found out they offer trainers at reasonable rates. Worst gym i have been too. The staff is rude, especially Chis Card. I spent 5 years at this gym and never complained, until they got new management. I asked the new manager why do they not clean the pool, hot tub or steam room. She instead of addresssing my concerns threatened to revoke my membership. I said, i am going to fininsh my workout, and before i could finish i was escorted out by two Gresham police officers, all because i made a valid complaint. I was devestated, five years of friendships gone, because i dont like swimming in dirty green water. The steamroom is even worse than the pool. If you want to get sick or a fungus on your feet then this your gym. If you want a nice clean gym with amazing staff who care then i recommend Cascade Athletic club. read more

People here are friendly and helpful. As a senior, I have been a member of the gym for years now and will continue. I appreciate the respect I get in the course of my attendance there. The gym is in great shape and cleaning and repairs are done on a daily basis. Plenty of chances for a great exercise regime. They have a pool, hot tub, steam room, saunas, weight rooms, gym, workout station and equipment and even a bar that sells healthy refreshments. The aqua aerobics classes are fun too. I've had a membership at Olympic Gym on and off for over 20 years. The only times that I have not been a member in those years is when my career has taken me away from Portland. Olympic has something for every fitness level. If you are a casual fitness person the needed gear and space is there. I am very Impressed with the Olympic Gym. It is an open, very friendly gym. The employees great you at the door and help you sign in, or in any other way you need within minutes. The places is Enormous, so there is lots of room for lots of workout equipment, with ample space, so you don't feel invaded on. The Olympic Gym is very Clean. This is by far the best gym I've ever belonged to. Equipment is spread out nicely and plenty of room to avoid the crowds. They have a huge variety of classes from boxing to hot hoga to spin with amazing instructors. The pool/hot tub/ steam room set up is quite nice. Yes, things are a bit worn and has a mom & pop feel, but at least I can work out, feel normal, and not have my bank account drained every month for a gym experience that I don't even enjoy. Throughout the years I've always tried my best to stay in good health. Gyms are hard to find, it's just not having good equipment or offering health plans, diet plans, training classes, health drinks, or even having a good greeter at the door. I recently traveled to Gresham for a family event and needed a gym to workout at while I was away from home for a week. Most of my family (who works out) goes to another unnamed gym that is close by, but it wasn't the atmosphere i was looking for. I wanted a gym that was clean and friendly, but mostly on where I could work out without worrying about how I look, and not have to workout around other people who are only there for other people. I've only been a member for a week and a half, but I love this gym! The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I get greeted by name! The team fitness class is AMAZING! Team fitness is the perfect program at this gym for people who want to have limited time in their schedules and every workout is different. It involves everything from kettlebells, planks, and cardio, combined with awesome music and a motivating group atmosphere I love Olympic and I can't wait to see where it takes me! read more

Great warm-up pants awesome gym love the steam room there's lots of dark Corners to just kick back and relax and it doesn't seem to be overcrowded with love to see the hot tub get cleaned more often but the pool is absolutely Immaculate looks great everything for the most part is like 6 out of 10 maybe 7 out of 10 and the majority of the weights and gym equipment I would give like an 8 out of 10 so averaging about 8 or 10 overall pretty good read more

Stopped by today to ask about membership, the guy at the counter was less then helpful. Didn't seem to know much about it and seemed rather disinterested in helping me. I asked about a week trail pass as I'm recovering from as major leg injury as well as a hip replacement and wanted to see if I could actually do a decent workout. She makes the best smoothies ever!! Spent hours on phone trying to get my husband's account set up so he could use it! The staff is amazing. They will greet you when you arrive and say goodbye when you're leaving. They're always helpful and the atmosphere of the gym is awesome. Being a bigger guy, I'm always conscious about being judged. But I have never felt judged there, everyone works out and let's everyone do their thing. I switched gym because of location, but i 100% regret leaving this gym! the staff is super friendly, love their point system and their shakes, the locker rooms are always clean and i love all the classes. Nhat is the greatest personal trainer. With his knowledge and encouragement I broke my PR in deadlifting. Always greeted by name when checking in.
