I spoke with Parth, the head estimator, who was very helpful in how asbestos abatement worked.

The…read moremen who did the manual labor to treat our mold and water damage were excellent, hardworking, and professional. All 3 stars is because of y'all My issue is entirely with management. After my insurance company caused complications that led to First Call terminating the job which I understood, I received an invoice in May of last year. I paid that balance in full with two separate checks within two weeks. I have the receipts, the copies of the checks, and the bank statements showing exactly when First Call cashed them. After a full year of zero communication, I woke up today to a voicemail and email threatening to send me to collections within 48 hours. They claimed they had been "trying to reach me" for 12 months, which is untrue. I checked my call logs and my email history; there was absolutely nothing. When I called and provided my proof of payment and the exact dates they cashed my checks, they admitted the "error" was simply because someone forgot to check a box in their system. It is incredibly stressful and offensive to have your credit threatened because a company can't be bothered to check their own bank deposits before sending out threats. As a veteran, I live by a standard of integrity and doing your due diligence. Relying on a "checked box" as the Bible instead of doing actual research is lazy and unprofessional. Do better, not just for your customers, but for the reputation of the guys out there doing the actual work.

They were efficient, easy to work with and reliable. I worked with Idan, the PM who came by for the original estimate. He was informative, made helpful suggestions and answered all of my questions. I did not get any other bids, so I cannot comment on the value of the price, but they completed the job in a timely manner and no additional costs were incurred following the original bid.

Rat infestation in my garage (never had rats before so didn't know the proper process)…read more I had to dispose of half the items in my garage. Junk removal took care of that job & removed the rat poop. Then I called A2Z to clean everything assuming that's all I'd have to do. Last night I saw a giant rat run across my garage so now I've paid $3500 to hazmat clean the 1/2 my garage but still have a rat infestation. I'm now working with a rat removal service but before A2Z allowed me to hire them & get in contract they should have advised me to be sure to complete the proper step beforehand of ensuring the rat infestation was resolved. Now i'm out $3500 for an unnecessary garage cleaning and still have a rat infestation. As a new homeowner (or any homeowner) I'd assume a good business would make sure I've done the pre work (in this case rat infestation elimination) before accepting the job. That's in my view a shitty thing to have done to me as the client. Really disappointed because they seemed professional throughout the process. So for this reason of not holistically proactively making sure the proper prep was done I cannot rate this business any higher than a 2 star. I'm not angry I am however very disappointed and feel that I've been tricked. I cannot recommend this business.

We hired them for asbestos abatement in vacant units at an apartment building in Marin. From the walkthrough on, Daniel was professional in the way you want a licensed abatement contractor to be: the bid came back itemized and legible, so I knew exactly what I was buying, and the number I signed was the number I paid -- no change-order creep, no "we found something" surprises mid-job. They hit the schedule they committed to, which matters when every day of downtime is a day the unit isn't rented. The compliance side was airtight. Notifications, permits, containment, clearance testing, disposal manifests -- all handled and documented, and I got a clean package at the end without chasing anyone for it. If you've ever tried to close a refi or a sale with sloppy abatement records in the file, you know exactly what that's worth. The site itself was immaculate. Tight containment, tidy staging, and they left the units broom-clean and ready for the next trade to walk in. Communication was steady start to finish -- Daniel returned calls, gave updates unprompted, and I never wondered where things stood. If you own multifamily in the Bay Area, call Daniel.

Crew of 4 arrived on time and were efficient with set up, removal, and clean up over 2 days. The service I got was priced well compared to several others in the East Bay which was important for me. Communication with Dan was smooth and easy, and I appreciated that he walked me through the process and answered all my questions. It gave me piece of mind that things were done professionally, safely, and properly for both myself and their team's health. Note: it takes ~10 days to get the air district permit unless you pay extra for expedited service, so that the minimum wait time before abatement can start. Keep that in mind for scheduling purposes

My Highest Recommendation for Bio 911…read more I had a mold problem caused by a leaking faucet and roof at my Mom's house. The mold remediation company that I was referred to, went ahead and started tearing out drywall before any contract was signed. They also would not answer most of my questions and only sent a single photo of what they found and that was only after I asked them to send me photos a second time. I called Bio 911 and spoke to Kirill, the owner of the company. He told me that he doesn't like to take on jobs that are already being worked on by another company, but he told me that he would be happy to come out to inspect and evaluate my problem. He was incredibly thorough. He checked the drywall where visible mold had been seen, checked a nearby restroom even though no mold had been seen in there, the outside wall of the building adjacent to the affected drywall, and even the walls of an adjacent apartment. He detected moisture inside of the outside wall of the building, which was something that the other company had missed, and he outlined the steps needed to correct the moisture problem and mold issue. Kirill did all this work simply because he likes to help people. He did not charge me a penny. How often can you find someone that does things just to help people? It is super rare and I am giving Bio 911 my highest recommendation as a result.

I worked with the Rohnert Park office. I recently had the company handle an asbestos removal and wall texturing project, and my experience was nothing short of stellar. The true test of a company's "business practices" is not when things go perfectly, but how they handle them when they do not. Almost a year after my initial service, I realized the interior wall texturing wasn't quite right. Despite the significant passage of time, CVE did not blink. They immediately took ownership of the situation and corrected the issues, no questions asked. They are a fantastic team. Every single person I interacted with at CVE was Knowledgeable: They clearly knew their craft and the safety protocols involved; Cheerful: They brought a positive energy to the job site every day; Professional: Communication was seamless, making what could have been a stressful process incredibly easy for me. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. If you want peace of mind and a team that treats your home with respect, CVE is the only call you need to make.
