Deb was fantastic! Very responsive, and timely. I had her do the alterations for my wedding dress,…read morewhich included shortening the overall length, taking in the bust, and adding the bustle. She explained the process and what she planned to do, and consulted me on what the bustle design should look like. We settled on a 7 point bustle for my all lace mermaid gown and I couldn't be happier! Highly recommend her for any tailoring needs!!!

Heather was recommended to me by my bridal salon. So I felt very confident in choosing her. She did…read morean amazing job on my dress! It fit perfectly. We had to add a couple appointments in because I gained some weight, and she had to let the dress back out again. I was a bit worried, but she assured me it'd all be okay. And it was! She is so friendly and easy to talk to. She's super professional, and you can tell she really knows what she's doing. Her appointments are quick and efficient. And her studio space is so beautiful! She also walked two of my bridesmaids through how to fluff and bustle the dress. I think them having that practice round was essential. Because I had a strapless dress with only a few inches of fabric holding it up, I was a little nervous about the little hook in the back ripping off. She had reinforced it, but I was still slightly worried about it. That sucker stayed put all night! And even though my dress got stepped on a couple times, it didn't appear that any of the bustle points popped off. All the pictures turned out great, and the dress fit like a glove. I highly recommend Heather. You won't be disappointed!

I design custom suits for clients across the states and needed a tailor for a client in Minneapolis…read morefor an extremely tight turnaround (suit arrived to my client on 9/30 and she needed it for a wedding on 10/2). I had contacted Stitch Awesome when I found out how quickly the turnaround would be. They got back to me quickly with their estimated prices and a confirmation that the turnaround would be fine. I then spoke with them about how my clients are a part of the LGBTQ+ community and if they would be comfortable with that. The owner was extremely kind and was overjoyed to work my clients. My client picked up her suit yesterday and they did a fantastic job! They were swift, accurate, and professional. She felt comfortable being there. I'll definitely be sending future clients there! And in response to the previous yelp review on here: As a tailor myself, it's completely normal for a tailor to ask for a deposit if not payment in full. This is because way too many clients abandon their clothing (either forgetting about it or deciding it's not worth paying to pick them up) after work has been done. I have a whole rack of clothing to show that. It's pretty low to give a small business a 1 star review because of a standard practice you're ignorant of. Also, if you're still unsure about going to Stitch Awesome for your tailoring needs because of the lack of reviews on here, check out their Google reviews! They are absolutely glowing. It's what sold me.

Well you've got a loyal customer in me…read more Read the reviews and I was like, okay, let me try PJS. So I have these pair of Milwaukee heated gloves (they are the best thing since slice bread). Living in Minnesota makes these gloves a treasure. The zipper broke off which cause the rechargeable battery to constantly fall out of its pocket while walking/moving around. Which in turn is a pain in the butt. I contacted Milwaukee (the manufacturer) indicating the issue, they said they couldn't repair it and recommended that I check a tailor. So I took it to a tailor, mirjana's in west St. Paul. I've taken a few things here in the past and she always did-a great job. She looked at the gloves and told me "I don't know where to start". Apparently the gloves are very unique, especially when it came to replacing this zipper. So long story short, she said she couldn't do it. At this point, I'm thinking I'm screwed because this one tailor whose been a tailor probably way before I was even born is saying she couldn't do it. I had given up. I said what's the worse that can happen and tried another tailor. Read the reviews for pjs and I was like okay I'll try this one. Showed Jeff the gloves and I told him what the other tailor told me, and he said it can be done BUT he needed a special zipper for it, which turns out he had one of these special zippers on hand. And before you say this was easy fix, I promise you it wasn't. It required undoing the stitch and some serious tedious work, which I don't fault mirjana for not wanting to do. Took a little less than a week to get to and repaired but he sent me a text saying it was ready for pickup and my o my was I impressed, didn't even look like an after market zip, even the stitching was perfect. On top of his work, Jeff was very kind, polite, professional. I wish I could rate him 10 out of 10 stars. Bottom line- I'm not sure you can find the sort of skills that PJS have in the twin cities. P.S. the only terrible review is from a Karen who gave pjs a one star..... (ummm, who leaves their garments at the tailor for months, I didn't realize the tailor was another name for a storage facility lol) I wouldn't have sent it to goodwill, I'm

Katie is awesome!…read more Not only does she always tell me how handsome I am and how nice my suit jackets and blazers are (brownie points), but she gets the job done perfectly. If you're unhappy about anything, she fixes it, no cost. She also listens to time constraints--give her a few days and she can work her magic. My family has been going to Katie for a long time, and I really appreciate the fact that she always knows your face and catches up on your life. The prices are also less expensive than at many spots in Minneapolis (a tailor quoted a coat being taken in for me being up to $100- Katie does a better job for $50!) and would definitely be worth the trip out to the suburbs.
