I started researching other options and came across this shop. I called them and they informed me that they could get my bridesmaid's dress done in a week. A week?! Nahhh, turn around is never that great with tailors and fancy dresses. I took it in 3+ weeks before the wedding with doubt in my heart. Two very helpful employees helped me problem solve the ill fit. They were both straight-forward about pricing and made an honest effort to creatively save me money. I ended up asking for pretty much all the alterations because I desperately wanted to look less like a silver sack. The employee who checked me out told me it would be done Thursday (only 5 days after I dropped it off)! HA! UNLIKELY! I left and awaited a call. They called me the next day to confirm alterations that would tack on another $30 before doing them and I agreed post haste. More waiting. 2 1/2 weeks later, I started to worry. I patted myself on the back for getting the dress in so early. I called them and the friendly lady on the phone asked when my dress was supposed to be done - I told her. She kindly responded that it was finished on the due date (3 weeks earlier) and I could come pick it up! I collected my dress and was informed by a cute, old lady that they don't call when something is done. They give you a due date and they stick to it. They only call if it is going to be late or if you haven't collected it after a long, long time. How dumb I felt!? Here I was doubting them and it took LESS THAN A WEEK! Shame on me. Overall, the work is lovely. My dress fits exactly how it should and the workmanship is impeccable. Their prices are comparable to any other high-quality tailor. Honestly, their reliability alone makes up for the price tag. So trust the cute little old lady and pick up your garment on the due date with confidence. tl;dr High quality work, reasonable pricing, 1 week turnaround, just don't expect a call when your garment is done.

I just went in to pick up a dress that I dropped off a few months ago…read more The woman up front first proceeded to mock me on my tardiness to pick up the garment (excuse me for having a full time job and trying to keep my outings to a minimum due to the pandemic), then refused to correct a problem I had with the service they provided on a shirt I brought in previously. And once another customer walked in, my patronage no longer seemed worthy of her attention. I don't usually need dry cleaning services. I don't own very much that requires it. However, one (VERY expensive) shirt I own (Free People) needs to be dry cleaned, which I've had done numerous times with Mulberry's in Eagan (great establishment, by the way). Only one time going to St Croix Cleaners, and the shirt is ruined, completely shrunk. It is a rayon shirt that is large and flows, and now is completely form fitting. When I brought this up to the store manager, she refused to do anything about it. Because it had been several months since I brought the shirt in initially, she said they can't (won't) do anything about it. If it's store policy to not extend services past a certain timeframe from when the garment was picked up, that's one thing. To completely disregard someone and proceed to call them a liar saying it could have happened somewhere else since, is another. I'm supposedly getting a call from a regional manager to see if something can be done about it, but I was assured that they will most likely not do anything about it either. Will not be taking my business back here.
