If I could rate them a zero I would. I brought it 5 brand new pairs of slacks to hem and take in at the waist. The quality of the work was very poor, one pair of slacks had stains, and every pair was completely wrinkled. Will NOT be returning here in the future. read more

I have gone to this shop several times in the last few years, for hemming pants, repairing shirts, and taking in a suitcoat. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I gave Highland Tailors multiple chances and each time, customer service was atrocious. My last straw was when they ruined a few jackets I brought in. Instead of apologizing they claimed my custom jackets were "low quality" unlike the "high quality" and "high end" suits they work on all the time, that's why they messed up my jackets. When I asked to just pay and leave instead of going back and forth, the worker doubled down on her insults and blame, wanting to keep going. So if they can't do a good job on my "low quality" clothes, will they do a good job on your "high quality" clothes? read more

Highland Tailors has been my go-to tailor for jeans for at least 15 years. They do great work with denim which is my primary need. Great hemming and stitching and the prices are quite reasonable. On my last trip in I had a sorta weird request it wasn't an issue and the work looked great. There are other tailors closer to where I live, but I always go back to Highland. read more

Really, it's 3.5, but I can't pull the trigger on the 4th star because of what they charged to hem a bridesmaid dress. I came in on a weeknight with said dress and two pairs of pants for hemming (ahh the joys of being short!). There are two dressing room-like curtains to change behind, and I was helped immediately. The tailor who helped me was very meticulous, asked me questions to make sure it was what I wanted, and got the job done. Said all three would be done in about a week. The work was all done very well. Nine bucks for each pair of pants (which I thought was a steal!), but 40 freggin dollars to hem the bridesmaid dress a couple inches(no beading or detail on the dress, just a regular old hem). I have a feeling if I had said "No, it's just a party dress" when she asked if I was in a wedding, she may have charged a lot less. Oh well, live and learn. read more

Friendly staff, organized, well priced, and efficient. I've brought several items here over the past year and Highland Tailors has always been great! They even lengthened the sleeves on one of my jackets and I wear the hell out of it now. It usually takes about a week for basic tailoring (hemming, taking in pants, etc). I simply love this place. They are super nice, have very reasonable prices and do great work. As a dude who fails at sewing, I like that I can bring in jackets needing zipper repairs, pants missing buttons - stuff most folks would probably consider simple, and they mend it all quickly and cheaply. I am convinced that Highland Tailors can assist and mend any wardrobe dysfunction. I am vertically challenged with a petite frame. I am forced to hem just about all my jeans and need most of my dresses altered on top. Over the years I have had various pants, dresses, a swimsuit, a coat, and even boots altered and repaired here. They can fix/alter most items usually within one week. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I trust them with all my altering needs and recommend them to all my friends and family in need of an excellent tailor/seamstress. They accept credit cards, cash, and check. read more

I had my wedding dress alterations started at a bridal shop and the seamstress there took my dress in on the sides but didn't take the lining in. I wasn't sure if it was fixable! I brought my dress to highland tailors and they did an amazing job. I had 3 different fittings and it now looks like it was custom made for me. I had already paid a lot at the other place and the pricing here was beyond reasonable. The seamstress here saved my wedding day, and I really felt she personally cared about how my dress looked and fit. She really went above and beyond all my expectations and I will tell anyone I know to go here. I definitely will be back! read more

After losing a lot of weight, my tuxedo jacket from years ago hung like a sack, and the pants were so loose they wouldn't even stay on. I took the tux here in to get altered and in under a week, it fits like new. I had it altered as a surprise for my girlfriend and she absolutely loved it when i wore it to an event. Staff was very professional and pleasant, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get anything altered. Cute little place and the work is very well done. This shop is busy and still manages to offer personalized service and be so accommodating. I needed a handmade vest altered for my wedding only a week away. In spite of hearing them tell the customer before me that they were scheduling 2 weeks out they got my vest done in time for my wedding and it looked so good. Best place to get alterations, hands down!!! Reasonably priced and very friendly, accommodating staff. I called in with an alteration I needed to have completed in less than 24 hours for a wedding. They accepted, had me come right in, pinned my dress in less than 10 minutes and altered it just in time for me to pick up the next night. AMAZING! The woman who helped me was confident and obviously knew what she was doing...explained to me why my dress was gaping in one part and what could be done about it, etc. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

Went for wedding dress alterations highly recommended by a friend who recently got married and had her two dresses altered here. They do an amazing job, take time to ensure you get what you're looking for, and the prices are unbeatable. There were folks coming in for all sorts of tailoring while I was getting my gown taken in. I had my wedding dress hemmed here, and they did a great job. The dress turned out beautifully, they got it done in 10 days, and they were so nice. My only complaint is they didn't have air conditioning, and both times I went in, it was really hot. read more

$80 for pants alteration!!! Never heard such place that would charge that much! And she said not 1-8, but 8-0 dollars.
