No appointment needed, I just walked in and explained what I needed done and tried on the dress. I appreciated that the seamstress warned me that the front was going to get tighter in my chest and lay a little closer together, luckily this was the goal for me. To add insult to injury, alterations cost over $100, which was the cost of the dress. Update: I had to tape the entire top to get it to be functional for my friend's wedding. You could literally see the cups coming out of the fabric without the tape. You can also see the stitching on one of the cups on the outside of the dress. Terrible craftsmanship to the point of embarrassing. Spend your money elsewhere.

They had been hanging in my closet unworn for a year because the armholes were too big. The curtained dressing room allows you to slip on the garment to be tailored, but then you go back out into the tiny store for the seamstress to pin your alterations. That felt a little awkward, standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows open to the mall as people walked by and my dress was pinned. Full payment is required up front ($50 for two dresses taken in one inch at each shoulder) and my items were ready in a week. I guess I could have tried them on at the shop had I wanted to, but they were returned to me hanging on a hanger, covered in a dry-cleaning bag, so I didn't really feel encouraged to do so. In any event, the work was absolutely flawless and the dresses are now perfectly fitted and ready for summer.
