Heather was recommended to me by my bridal salon. So I felt very confident in choosing her. She did an amazing job on my dress! It fit perfectly. We had to add a couple appointments in because I gained some weight, and she had to let the dress back out again. I was a bit worried, but she assured me it'd all be okay. And it was! She is so friendly and easy to talk to. She's super professional, and you can tell she really knows what she's doing. Her appointments are quick and efficient. And her studio space is so beautiful! She also walked two of my bridesmaids through how to fluff and bustle the dress. I think them having that practice round was essential. Because I had a strapless dress with only a few inches of fabric holding it up, I was a little nervous about the little hook in the back ripping off. She had reinforced it, but I was still slightly worried about it. That sucker stayed put all night! And even though my dress got stepped on a couple times, it didn't appear that any of the bustle points popped off. All the pictures turned out great, and the dress fit like a glove. I have actually had the pleasure of having Heather as my seamstress on three separate occasions, and each time she has been absolutely AMAZING to work with. My most recent alterations done by Heather were on my wedding dress. I seriously went into my first appointment hating my wedding dress. It fit so poorly, and I felt the opposite of beautiful whenever I tried it on. Heather was able to alter the straps, bodice, and hem to make my dress fit like a glove. She also added 17 bustle points to my extremely long, intricate train to create a gorgeous French bustle. Because of Heather, I now LOVE my dress and can't wait to wear it on my wedding day! Heather is extremely professional, punctual, and very detail-oriented. But she is also so kind and easy to talk to - she made me feel like she cared about me as a person each time I saw her and never made me feel like just another bride. I brought my dress to Heather not knowing anything about dress alterations so I asked a few questions and felt like I was getting talked down to. Not to mention I felt completely rushed from the time I walked into the door until I walked out. The bride before me went into my appointment and the bride after me arrived early. When I got there I had my dress and hung it on the curtain rack and heaven forbid I didn't know it was not secured on there properly so it fell, well the women in front of me and her chaotic kids went into my appointment so after standing around for so long I wanted to get my other stuff out of the car bc I knew heather was running behind (my mistake) so Heather could not fix the rod so the dress in room was open (big deal) and she was so crabby and short with me about it... If you are going to run a business out of your house you should expect these things. To just take my hem up heather wanted $250!!! Needless to say I went and picked up my dress from her instead of a second appointment because I could NOT work with this women. I am a very highly educated individual so I could not stand being talked to like a idiot. When I went to pick my dress up heather requested $100 cash for the work that she had done...come to find out when I took my dress else where she ruined my detachable sleeves because she didn't have them positioned right on my dress from the get go. When I put them on with my new seamstress she was shocked not only because now they had cuts through them and they would have laid perfectly with out the cuts but also that Heather requested $100 for work she thought hurt my dress more than helped...so I guess I paid to get my detachable sleeves mangled and she had the sides open for alterations - so I got ripped off, stay far away from this women unless you like working with people that feel entitled and think they are better than you and want to pay a arm and a leg. read more

Heather was recommended by Bella Bridal, where I bought my gown. Getting Heather's name was the only good thing about going through Bella Bridal (they are an absolute nightmare.) As an out of town bride that was completely overwhelmed and distraught over what the bridal shop had done----Heather fit me into her busy schedule and offered everything and every option possible to make my dress work. She was extremely concerned with making me happy and doing everything right, AND at affordable prices. Heather worked with me, pinned everything and was even going to rush to get it done in time for my wedding in Wisconsin. I ended up buying a completely new dress because of all the changes I would have had to make ONLY due to the Bridal shop mistake, and will now have my new dress altered down here in Missouri.
