Heather was recommended to me by my bridal salon. So I felt very confident in choosing her. She did an amazing job on my dress! It fit perfectly. We had to add a couple appointments in because I gained some weight, and she had to let the dress back out again. I was a bit worried, but she assured me it'd all be okay. And it was! She is so friendly and easy to talk to. She's super professional, and you can tell she really knows what she's doing. Her appointments are quick and efficient. And her studio space is so beautiful! She also walked two of my bridesmaids through how to fluff and bustle the dress. I think them having that practice round was essential. Because I had a strapless dress with only a few inches of fabric holding it up, I was a little nervous about the little hook in the back ripping off. She had reinforced it, but I was still slightly worried about it. That sucker stayed put all night! And even though my dress got stepped on a couple times, it didn't appear that any of the bustle points popped off. All the pictures turned out great, and the dress fit like a glove. I highly recommend Heather. You won't be disappointed! read more

So pleasant, helpful, reasonable. Salvaged three jackets by replacing zippers. They did a very high quality job and did it in a timely fashion. read more

Heather is a consummate professional. She has many years experience working with formal dresses and if you care about your wedding dress and how it fits I could not recommend a better person to do the job. She is always on time and does a fantastic job. My daughter's dress was a few sizes too big when purchased but we bought of the rack as it was a designer dress and we loved it. Heather made that dress fit like a glove. You do not have to worry if you leave your dress in her capable hands! read more

Okay, I should start out by saying that I am so late but I want to make a HUGE shout out to Heather as she made my dreams come true with her expertise I bought my dress as a pre-owned Pnina Tornai (my fairytale dress) and I requested that the bust was taken in a bit. She recreated an already customized DD chest into a B cup for me. You guys, she had to work around a very complicated, boning and crystals corset. Pure magic. She also rebustled my dress to fit my style perfectly. She is so so sweet and INCREDIBLY talented!! I could not recommend her more!!!! We love you Heather! read more

Last week I had my last fitting and picked up my dress from Heather and all I can say is, AMAZING. Heather is so talented and my dress fits me absolutely perfectly! From the start Heather was so informative, telling me everything she is doing and what the plan is and that is SO comforting especially during the wedding planning process. Even during this pandemic, she made sure I knew exactly what was going on. The most important thing though is that she is SO nice! She made my dreams come true with my wedding dress and I can't wait to wear it on August 8th! BIGGGG shout out to Heather! read more

I'm only a little less than half way through the wedding dress alterations process with Heather, but she has been remarkable at working with me on appointment times, changing fittings, showing me different ways to bustle my dress and informing me about every step of her alteration process. She's been doing alterations for many, many years and told me that last year alone (2013) she did over 300 wedding dresses. I would HIGHLY recommend Heather Baldridge to anyone that is looking for alterations to any kind of dress! read more

I have utilized Heather on two occasions, and have found her to be professional and extremely competent. She has vast experience and knowledge, and it shows in her work. She is meticulous at her craft. I love her new studio space, which was custom-built for her work and is very comfortable. I would trust her with any project from a simple hem to an intricate wedding gown. read more

My daughter and I would recommend Heather's services. Heathe was very accommodating to our schedule and was open to our concerns and willing to try to fit personal needs and the brides expectations into the fittings and alterations. Thank you Heather you were wonderful. Jane (mother of the bride) read more

Heather did an amazing job on my dress. She really made my dress fit me, and not me fit the dress. The lace for the shoulders and back for the peek-a-boo back was way too big, when I purchased the dress, and she made it fit like a glove. I'm so pleased with the work that she has done, that I can't wait to wear my dress for the wedding! She is professional and really wants her brides to be happy. Once you let her know once your vision is, she will make it happen. read more

Wow, where do I even begin. I have worked with Heather for many years, she has done formal dresses (including my wedding dress) and also made and altered dresses for my daughter for modeling and other events. She is well worth every penny! She is so highly sought after that she just moved into a new studio space in the last month to accommodate her ever growing business. (and wow is it beautiful) I couldn't recommend a better seamstress! She is in such high demand that she books out pretty far in advance. So contact her early! read more

So many seamstress/tailor shops one could choose, but if you care about the return on your investment, I strongly encourage you to take your wedding dress to Heather! By no means was Heather the closest seamstress - I live in the west metro, Heather is in Woodbury - but her work is simply the best in Minnesota. I have seen many girlfriends in tears on their wedding day because the dress does not fit or look the way they imagined... Heather not only has impeccable work, but she asks all the right questions to ensure your wedding dress vision is met! Worth every mile to drive, worth every penny to spend. read more

I have actually had the pleasure of having Heather as my seamstress on three separate occasions, and each time she has been absolutely AMAZING to work with. My most recent alterations done by Heather were on my wedding dress. I seriously went into my first appointment hating my wedding dress. It fit so poorly, and I felt the opposite of beautiful whenever I tried it on. Heather was able to alter the straps, bodice, and hem to make my dress fit like a glove. She also added 17 bustle points to my extremely long, intricate train to create a gorgeous French bustle. Because of Heather, I now LOVE my dress and can't wait to wear it on my wedding day! Heather is extremely professional, punctual, and very detail-oriented. But she is also so kind and easy to talk to - she made me feel like she cared about me as a person each time I saw her and never made me feel like just another bride. Oh and don't even get me started on her space - it is so comfortable and absolutely gorgeous! I would highly recommend Heather to any bride. She is absolutely the best of the best and choosing her to alter my dress was one of the few wedding-related decisions that I felt 110% confident in. read more

I brought my dress to Heather not knowing anything about dress alterations so I asked a few questions and felt like I was getting talked down to. Not to mention I felt completely rushed from the time I walked into the door until I walked out. The bride before me went into my appointment and the bride after me arrived early. When I got there I had my dress and hung it on the curtain rack and heaven forbid I didn't know it was not secured on there properly so it fell, well the women in front of me and her chaotic kids went into my appointment so after standing around for so long I wanted to get my other stuff out of the car bc I knew heather was running behind (my mistake) so Heather could not fix the rod so the dress in room was open (big deal) and she was so crabby and short with me about it... If you are going to run a business out of your house you should expect these things. To just take my hem up heather wanted $250!!! Needless to say I went and picked up my dress from her instead of a second appointment because I could NOT work with this women. I am a very highly educated individual so I could not stand being talked to like a idiot. When I went to pick my dress up heather requested $100 cash for the work that she had done...come to find out when I took my dress else where she ruined my detachable sleeves because she didn't have them positioned right on my dress from the get go. When I put them on with my new seamstress she was shocked not only because now they had cuts through them and they would have laid perfectly with out the cuts but also that Heather requested $100 for work she thought hurt my dress more than helped...so I guess I paid to get my detachable sleeves mangled and she had the sides open for alterations - so I got ripped off, stay far away from this women unless you like working with people that feel entitled and think they are better than you and want to pay a arm and a leg. read more

Heather was recommended by Bella Bridal, where I bought my gown. Getting Heather's name was the only good thing about going through Bella Bridal (they are an absolute nightmare.) As an out of town bride that was completely overwhelmed and distraught over what the bridal shop had done----Heather fit me into her busy schedule and offered everything and every option possible to make my dress work. She was extremely concerned with making me happy and doing everything right, AND at affordable prices. Heather worked with me, pinned everything and was even going to rush to get it done in time for my wedding in Wisconsin. I ended up buying a completely new dress because of all the changes I would have had to make ONLY due to the Bridal shop mistake, and will now have my new dress altered down here in Missouri. I would have had Heather alter this new dress, but I won't be back in MN anytime soon--but I did seriously contemplate buying a plane ticket to have her do so. Heather was understanding, passionate about her work and extremely flexible. I would have been lucky to have had her work on my dress. read more

Heather is incredibly talented and amazing to work with. She was recommended to me by Bella Bridal Boutique, where I purchased my dress. It was so stress-free being able to work with a seamstress who you can trust and who knows exactly what they are doing. At my first fitting, Heather immediately went to work pinning, shaping, and transforming my dress. I shared my opinion on some aspects of my fittings, but it was so refreshing for me to be able to sit back, be hands-off, and to let Heather work her magic. She knows immediately what will work for your dress and how to make it look best on your body. I wore a Maggie Sottero A-line dress with a satin slip underneath a tulle skirt, lace illusion neckline, and a deep v-back. I worked with Heather to remove the original braided belt and to add my own custom, crystal belt from Etsy. Heather transformed my dress by shortening the straps, taking in the waist and chest, adding built-in cups, and creating a beautiful, uncomplicated bustle. She was such a joy to work with and was so organized, professional, and straightforward with scheduling and costs. I can't recommend Heather's services enough! read more
