Reyna worked WONDERS on my dress and I could not be more thankful to her!! I bought my dress off the rack (they don't make it anymore) and it was two sizes too big when I bought it. I then lost about 15 pounds and so the dress I bought was much too big. I was nervous no one would be able to make my dress wearable while still keeping all the parts of the dress I love. Reyna took my dress and made it fit like a glove!! There was buttons all down the back and lots of delicate lace and her work was impeccable! I would highly recommend trusting Reyna with your dress! I have heard horror stories from brides who went somewhere cheaper and had their dress ruined. I am so glad my friend recommended Reyna's. She was worth every penny! Wow. Reyna does magic on dresses! I looked EVERYWHERE for a gold sequin party dress to wear as a wedding dress for my Las Vegas wedding. I'm a curvy girl, bigger, but not plus-sized. I looked EVERYWHERE for this type of dress at a moderate price.... with no luck. Finally, I found something kind of close to what I wanted at a Chinese online store called Light in the Box. The dress came and looked beautiful, but it fit me like a nightmare. I brought it in, and after only one fitting, Reyna did a laundry list of alterations to make it look cute on me. -removed sleeves -turned "boat" neckline into a soft "v" neck -let out in the bust, took in at the waist let out the skirt to make it more a-line -shortened the bottom hem. She was willing to do a corset for me, too if there wasn't enough fabric to let it out. So, basically, this woman made me a new dress out of another dress that didn't fit me. I came in for a prom dress that was 2 sizes too big. Luckily, the top was fine, but the bottom needed a lot of work. I fell in love with the dress so I bought it too big, and I was a little worried that it would be changed in the alteration. She fit it perfectly to me, and added a beautiful train and created a pattern in the back from the loose fabric. It was so beautiful and she made my perfect prom dress even more so. I'm a seamstress' dream - vertically challenged and in the process of losing a lot of weight. I recently had to buy all new business suits to fit my ever shrinking body, which required some serious alterations beyond my normal pants shortening needs. A friend of mine recommended Reyna's and I'm SO glad she did! Reyna does beautiful work - you'd seriously never know she had to shorten sleeves, reduce shoulder length and narrow the waists of these jackets. They fit like a glove and you'd never know they'd been altered. And every time I'm in her store, there's a stream of brides and prom-goers getting fitted for alterations (she specializes in formal wear). I went there to get a pair of jeans altered. Reyna's wanted $28 for the waist and $12 for the hem. This was an unbelievable price but I really needed it done. After the consult it was very apparent that she didn't know what she was doing as she wanted to put darts in my jeans and leave all the fabric sticking out! Who would agree to that? Not me! I got married this past September. Reyna was recommended to me by the store where I purchased my wedding dress. I purchased a $3,200 dress as a floor model for $625. It had a few marks and small tears in the lace so I knew alterations would not be simple. I set up a consultation with Reyna to get an idea of pricing before actually bringing it in for a fitting. She pinned the dress and did everything necessary for the fitting. She wrote me a quote for $375.00. It was shocking at first but because I had heard great things about her work, I decided to go with her. I went back in a month later for the actual fitting. She pinned the dress in the exact same places and gave me my invoice. This time it was for $460.00 plus she said she couldn't guarantee that price because of the small tears in the lace. She would charge me at an hourly rate to fix those and she wouldn't know how long that would take until she was done. I asked her how the price had gone up by $85.00 and she did not have an answer. She got extremely defensive and walked away and had her young coworker try to help instead. I told her I needed to reconsider having her work on my dress because the price had already increased drastically and she hadn't even started working on it yet. I was afraid to see my total once she had fixed all of those small tears. There's no question it would have been over $500.00 once she was finished. I asked how long it would be before she started to actually work on my dress. She said she would "start the night before my next appointment." There was no way I was going to pay this amount for someone to work on my dress last minute and for someone who could not even explain their pricing to me. I ended up taking my dress from her and brought it to Louise Kegley out of St. Paul. Louise was amazing and fixed my whole dress for $200.00. You can google search her and find her on wedding sites if you'd like to read reviews. She works out of her home and is more than accommodating to work schedules as she takes appointments at night. My husband's brother got married this past May and his wife also took her dress to Reyna. She was initially quoted $200.00. She had paid in full at her final fitting. When she went to pick up the finished dress, Reyna told my sister-in-law that she owed another $75.00 for additional work she had done. My sister-in-law argued that she did not agree to additional work and refused to pay the $75.00. My sister-in-law was so frustrated she walked out. . . luckily Reyna had already handed the dress over the counter. read more

Reyna's was recommended to me by a family member when I needed to find a place to do some alterations on my wedding dress, since I purchased it from a shop that didn't offer alterations in house. My dress had a lacy back that was clearly going to require a lot of very delicate work to get it to fit well...and given that it was my wedding dress, I was nervous about getting alterations done at a new shop that I knew nothing about. I think they could tell I was nervous as soon as I arrived, and they did everything they could to put me at ease. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and courteous, and Reyna is an absolute worker of magic! My dress required three fittings, and by the time she was done with it, it fit like a glove, the lacy back was absolute perfection, and I felt gorgeous in my dress. The alterations were also completed in a timely fashion. We had a short engagement - only 6 months - so by the time my dress arrived, we only had about 8 weeks until the wedding. Reyna was able to get all my fittings squeezed into that timeframe, and she got the work done quickly...and my dress required a *lot* of work, especially on aforementioned lacy back. Her prices were great, too. She charged much less than many other places I looked, so I was very happy with the price I paid for the amount and quality of the work that was done! Reyna also worked her magic on my 6 year old son's wedding garments. My son is very tall and thin, so finding him dress pants was difficult. When we finally found a pair we loved, he was swimming in them - they were *so* wide in the waist and also a little bit too long. She had to take them in several inches, but she did it so well, you would have never known that they were so huge on him to begin with. Most importantly, my husband and I wanted to give my son a gift at our wedding as a symbol of our commitment to him, much like my husband and I exchanged rings to show our commitment to each other. The gift we chose was a pocket watch, but we could *not* find a vest that had a real pocket in it for my son to wear. I brought our favorite vest in to Reyna to see if she could insert a real pocket. She said it would take a lot of work and was a little hesitant, but she saw how important it was to me and said she would figure something out. A couple weeks later, I picked up my son's vest with a perfect pocket sewn in, and the price she charged was beyond reasonable. I couldn't have been more thrilled with the work Reyna did on our wedding garments, and I'll definitely be giving her any future alterations business we might have! read more

This business does not do courtesy calls AT ALL. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I had my wedding dress altered there for the first time. All i needed was to cut and hem the bottom, tighten the one shoulder strap and add in the french bustle. Okay, so when I return back for my first fitting....ONLY THE STRAP WAS FIXED....Reyna was suppose to have had the bottom hemmed but claimed she had forgotten if I wanted the dress cut from the bottom or top and was about to cut from the top but was scared ( OMFG, WHO THE FAWK JUST ASSUMES AND CUTS A FAWKN WEDDING GOWN IF THEY'RE UNSURE) And she didnt EVEN BOTHER CALLING ME TO ASK too so that at least my dress wouldnt be on DELAY....so during that visit I basically wasted my time and was excited for nothing....so we moved on to pick out which kind of bustle I should put on my dress....so we came to a conclusion of having 5 ribbons to be sewn in to create the french bustle. So I came in for my SECOND fitting and was told to bring in someone who's going to help you with the bustle, I came in with my Sister in law and the bustle was suppose to be done but SHE CLAIMED she lost her pins that were put there to hold it in place and when i got there she WAS STILL SEWING MY DRESS....OMFG!!!.....so freakn PO'd. On top of that she didnt even think I would be coming in until another 30 mins so assumed she had time.UGH! FRUSTRATING....eventually the hem was done....the bustle WAS NOT and My sister in law and I wasted YET ANOTHER PRECIOUS TIME OF OURS and THEY DIDNT EVEN CALL TO LET US KNOW. Then FINALLY the 3rd fitting....bustle was finally complete.....they ended up adding 2 more ribbons on my bustle telling me I saved $20 BUT YEAH RIGHT....they're so F*CKN LUCKY I didnt just take my dress somewhere else and not pay for the POOR JOB THEY DID on my gown.
