We're back! Kinda. Still on the scooty-scoot, but this was the first time I've been able to do date night since breaking my ankle. We popped down to MRBL and lemme tell you-IT WAS WORTH IT. One of their off-menu specials was a filet with scallops...you know that's my jam. Randall had a ribeye and we split the sides. Everything was really good. I'm going to try and deconstruct the beans so I can make them at home More than the food, though, was the excellent service. Honestly, everyone was beyond. I've learned recently ‍ that there's a difference between "ADA Accessible" and ACTUALLY being accessible. I meant to call them and let them know that I was on wheels but they weren't open yet. I made a mental note to call when they opened at dinner...and forgot. Of course, our table was supposed to be up some stairs. They smiled, looked at me, looked at the wheels, and started moving things around without any fuss at all. When I asked our sever where the ladies room was, she personally escorted me...and then held the door so I could get in. I hate needing help because I feel like a jerk (I recognize it's unresolved trauma...I'm doing my best). I felt seen, heard, and valued. Five stars. Definitely recommend. By far, the best service, food, and ambiance! Elegant dining with a beautiful view should be your next choice whether you're out with a friend or on a date. The steaks were cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were the greatest additions to our tasty meals. And, let me tell you...when they ask if you want any "enhancements" for the steaks, go for the MRBLE Special. It is the most flavorful sauce I've ever had with a steak. The coffee is just average (I am a coffee snob), but do not skip the dessert!!! We chose the banana pudding cake and the fried ice cream. Went for my and my daughters birthday. Quick attention from host from greeting to seating. Waitstaff came over quickly and took our drink orders. I got what I thought was steak and lobster but to my surprise it was some kind of soupy little bits of lobster on a steak that I ordered medium + that tasted tough, dry, and had a weird flavor. Ambiance 10/10 very romantic place have to take an elevator to get to the restaurant and then you're greeted with a view of the city if you're lucky to be by the windows. There was a live singer and the vibes on this valentine's day were immaculate. One bummer is that at high scale places like this i ALWAYS look forward to that bread in the beginning and sadly there wasn't any here, they did though present a rose to my valentine and that was very sweet. Our server was attentive and helpful with selections. Started with a sushi roll, it was amazing as the dynamite roll comes with shrimp tempura on top and i would recommend getting this!! We opted for The wellington (be aware it comes as rare/medium rare) but the puff pastry and sauce were good. We have been wanting to try MRBL for a while and ventured there for none other than Valentine's Day. Highly recommend getting a reservation for this establishment as it was booked out a month in advance. It is white table cloth, so my expectations were very high. The service was nice and attentive. Though, I like when servers explain the menu when we arrive which didn't happen. The food was pretty good. I recommend the sea bass that my partner got it was cooked to perfection. I got the MRBL Wellington, and it was good, but the steak didn't seem too high quality. Would opt for a regular steak next time. I'm glad I went to check it out finally. read more

Went here for the first time with my daughter. We had a reservation & were seated within 15 minutes of arrival. The ambiance was electric with a beautiful view of the Ohio River & Cincinnati skyline. Our friendly server gave us some advice on what to order. While waiting on the food, I sampled the bread & butter & it tasted good. I got an appetizer of Lamb Lollipops (3 for $24) & they were delicious. My daughter ordered an appetizer of Shrimp Cocktail ($27). We split a Tomahawk 30 oz steak ($120) & it was tender & everything you would expect it to be. We ordered sides of fresh green beans, potato volcano, mac n cheese and a lobster tail. We asked the server to cut up the lobster tail & add it to the mac n cheese. It was so good! The potato volcano was very rich & creamy. When finished, a server bags up your leftovers to take home. This has to be the most uneventful birthday dinner that I've ever had. I do not recommend having an event or your birthday here. The food quality did not align with the price. I was expecting Ruby's standards with the price, items on the menu, and some other reviews. The food was good, but bland and nothing special or unique. Our server was not meant for high end dining or needs more training. Her presence was so sparse that we had to get our own silverware from the prep station. Our drink cups went empty and getting drinks in general took a long time. Before looking online, I assumed that they didn't offer anything special as far as a dessert for birthdays until I got online and saw other people with a dessert reading "happy birthday" and candles. Dear MRBL Management, I hope this message finds you well. I'm writing to express a serious concern regarding my recent visit to your restaurant on the evening of July 25th. My family and I chose MRBL to celebrate a special occasion--my husband's return from deployment as well as my 7-year-old daughter's birthday. The ambiance, service, and food were initially impressive, and our server, Lindsay M., provided excellent service throughout the evening. However, shortly after leaving the restaurant, I began experiencing severe itching on my face and neck. Within hours, I had to seek emergency medical attention due to significant swelling--my eyes were swollen shut, and my throat was extremely itchy and irritated. The doctors diagnosed me with an acute allergic reaction and treated me with a course of steroids. I have known allergies to lobster and nuts, and based on the timing and severity of my symptoms, there appears to have been cross-contamination in the kitchen that night. As advised by the hospital, I contacted the restaurant to report the incident. I spoke with a manager named Amanda, who verified our reservation and assured me that Chris, the manager on duty that evening, would follow up after reviewing our check and speaking with the kitchen team. Unfortunately, as of today, July 31st, I have not received any communication or apology from Chris or anyone at MRBL. I initially reached out not in anger, but in concern--to help ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else. However, the lack of follow-through and acknowledgment has been disappointing, especially considering the seriousness of the reaction, the $303.52 spent on dinner (Check #103), and the added cost of an ER visit. Additionally, I was surprised by the 3% surcharge for using a credit card, which was not clearly communicated at the time of payment. I hope you take this matter seriously, not only in reviewing food handling and allergy protocols but also in improving your follow-up on serious customer concerns. We celebrated a birthday with dinner here and the food was pretty good except my steak was a little overcooked. I felt like the price was a bit high for the quality but that could have been due to the over cooked steak. We had a table with an excellent view of the city and the service was great. We were pretty lucky as we received some snow which kept people away so the place was only about 1/4 full and not very busy. We plan on heading back in about a month and curious to see if the service and relaxing atmosphere is the same in June as it was in January. The staff is the best in the business, the atmosphere allows for a true fine dining experience unlike the loud circus environment that you get at the big name steakhouse downtown! We were a couple minutes early for our reservation, then we were just ignored and a walk in who offered to pay one of the front of house staff was sat before us at a window seat. They tried to seat us at a tiny booth in the middle so we left. No one apologized, no one acknowledged how we were treated. Stunning atmosphere on the 4th floor of an office building in Bellevue. Started with the Caesar salad and it was perfectly dressed and a very nice portion. The place has a nice atmosphere, with a very cool location and a great view of Cincinnati. Having worked in restaurants myself, I have some experience with good food and fine dining. This place aspires to be in that category, but apart from the great music, good service, and nice view, I can't say much else. I would expect a different level of quality for the price. The steak tartare was under-seasoned--at one point, I even questioned if it was fresh. It might have been due to the poor choice of sauces. When I asked for olive oil, the first time, it was good, but the second time, they brought what seemed like vegetable or sunflower oil--it had no aroma at all. The $60 fillet was cooked to the right temperature, but the hamachi crudo tasted slightly fishy. It would have been acceptable at a $70 price point, but not at $200. At that price, the taste should have been much better. I hope they train the cooks a bit more to improve the overall quality. The service while not the high polished Jeff Ruby category, was very good. Friendly and attentive. The real star of the place is the view. Great view of city. We were in a back overflow room and had a nice view of Mt Adam's. The best view is in the main dining room. The prices are comparable to Jeff Ruby. The food while good is not worthy of the price points. The steaks just lacked flavor. They were not as well trimmed. They were cooked precise. No side fish or salad. The best part of the meal was the cocktail sauce for the shrimp. The garlic mash were very good as well. The bread offering were two rolls that appeared to be of the frozen variety. Two steaks mashed potatoes Three shrimp two glasses of wine. With tip just north of $300. read more

I noticed the final payment changed and looked closer to find they charged a 3% credit card processing fee. The date of this event was on March 1, 2025. Let's begin on this journey. On Tuesday I went to the site and filled out the contact me information when asked If celebrating anything I wrote wedding dinner. So after not hearing back from anyone I decide to call the restaurant. My reasoning was that I have an allergy to nuts and wanted to make sure that I was going to be ok. The host that I made the reservation was polite and had a lot of information. I found out the owner of the restaurant has a nut allergy like myself so he uses no nuts in any of the food. I also wanted to have a great seat with a view to make the night more special. The host assured me that all the seating was great. So I made the reservation on Wednesday for Saturday @8:00pm. So upon arrival, the host asked for our name and asked are we celebrating once again my reply was our wedding dinner. The waitress Jessica came and she looked divine like she wanted to come to work and she did have good service. Just not the best listening skills. Jessica also asked are we celebrating anything I told her it was our wedding dinner! So Jessica takes the drink orders and proceeds on with the dinner. When taking the order she tells me there is a salmon dish that's not on the menu. This is what I decided to order. When taking the order Jessica stated it was with a side of asparagus and sticky rice. I asked for the asparagus to be sub out for mac and cheese. Jessica told me that I could order it but the side would be half the portion and I was okay with that. When the order came out it wasn't with the sides I ordered it was like the first picture with a chunk missing. When she came over to ask how was everything I asked about the order and she proceeded to tell me that she mistakingly heard me wrong. This all Was untrue! Remind you she saw the chuck missing out my salmon and left it at the table. Just so happened that a kind gentleman named Sam came passed and asked how things were going. I asked if the food was supposed to be prepared like this he said no took the order back and went to make it right. By this time my husband has already eaten and I do appreciate them rushing my new order out. But when this order came out it was burnt. But this time it came out with the sticky rice and mac and cheese like the previous order with Jessica. But I'm still working through dinner trying to make the most of it. As I'm eating the salmon I'm noticing the inside of the fish isn't cooked all the way. So we ordered dessert with the surprise of them gifting a dessert. Well, when the dessert came to the table it said happy anniversary. By this time I was over it! We paid the bill tipped the waitress and left. Also, it meant I didn't get a seat with a view. I sat next to a divider by the window. I would like to go back and have another experience but with all this happening I don't know if it's red flags. We came for our 10 year anniversary and are so happy with our decision. Plenty of parking spaces underneath the building, but make sure to take the glass elevator on the exterior of the building. The inside elevator will not get you to the restaurant and it wasn't well marked. We enjoyed the ambiance and the beautiful view of downtown. The service was also top notch as there were rose petals covering our table and the host remembered our names when we got up to go to the restroom. A little touch that made us feel extra welcome. As for the food, the seared tuna is a must as an app. It's delicious and has complex flavors. The sushi chef formerly worked at Nobu in LA and we new we had to get some sushi, so we ordered the special and it was topped with a healthy portion of crab. Super Delicious. For our entree we ordered the ribeye and got the Mac and cheese and Brussels on the side. We ended with a delicious cheese cake. For being a steak house, the steak was good, but I think there are better steaks in cincy. That is the only reason I'm not leaving a five star review. This beautiful restaurant has been open for about 6 weeks and it's exciting to have a new steakhouse and sushi restaurant in Northern Kentucky The view of the river is so magnificent and the feel of the restaurant is elegant but also a little casual. Shawn and Amanda as managers have assimilated a team and trained them so well that they are...of an ilk that threatens the highest echelons of restaurants not only in Cincinnati but our entire region. And it's not just Mike (the owner) but it's the chef Tamiko (Mike is I think from the Manhattan top echelon restaurant scene, as an owner) who has absolutely hit it out of the park with everything from the flavor layerings and such as well the delightfully designed menu as well as the nightly featured items...so unique!!! Great steaks are like great men... the best ones have a little fat on them. So the theme of MRBL couldn't be more apropos. I fought with the chef's recommendations, but luckily I relented and we experienced some of the best diversions from our typical picks. Thanks to his recommendations, we had one of our best meals ever. Do ask for Richard and Amanda's guidance and your server's recommendations because they will take you through a culinary experience of delight and surprise, and by the way... ...it's time we all cross the river and rise up and look out over our beautiful city and enjoy something different for a change. I hate to say but had much higher expectations and was very disappointed. When I'm in a city with Rubys, you should step your game up. They need to do it fast or they won't make it. Came with a group of six and all had the same opinion. Go to Rubys. The good: good location and beautiful view. Food that was decent: Caesar salad, yet asked for it split and they brought us a second bowl to serve ourselves...what! This level restaurant should not be the case. Steak was cooked well, had the filet. MRBL sauce though was outstanding. Server was sweet but not on par again. That's about all I can say. The bad: service, no plates cleared, food took forever. Forgot my martini not once, but twice. Same with my sauce. Took 22 minutes to get it when everyone else was finished with their cocktails. Food subpar. Sides were decent but nothing to write home about. It really all goes down to plates stacking up, not well versed in anything they were doing. They need to get it together to succeed. Hot and new. Locally owned and Chef is from Nubu in LA. That's pretty big time. I came in for drinks and had some of the best sushi I've ever had. And the most delicious craft cocktail ever. Besides sush,i they have seafood and steaks. Very high brow. I'm sure I will work my way thru the menu and get back to you when that happens since I live in the hood. The service was outstanding from the moment we came in the wrong doors in the back and were lost and a worker leaving found us- all the way to the end when we had our food packed in boxes. Our group tried a variety of steaks on the menu- all of which left nothing to be desired. We are also a HUGE fan of the bone marrow as an extra on our steaks. The all glass elevator sets the stage for what will be a memorable night for sure. The restaurant is not stuffy but has a modern classic steakhouse feel. Upon being seated the staff are ready to meet your every need with joy. The food came out rather quickly and tasty and the steaks are delicious. They also had a singer that without being loud serenaded you the entire place during dinner. He was definitely an unexpected highlight. Tips to make your visit a success: 1) Find the right elevator. The elevator is located on the side of the building and as stated before is all glass. There is an elevator inside the building but this will not lead you to the restaurant. The evening started with excitement had not been to Mrbl and was looking forward to supporting local. The staff was really awesome so 5 stars to them. Seriously. Good People The wine list was pretty good and had some very nice fairly priced wines. So far so good. Ordered dinner Cesar Salad and NY Strip. My companion order burrata salad and filet. Salads met the standard. Steaks arrived and were cooked to proper temperature, but first bite was a SALT BOMB. I thought maybe it was the end so took another bite. Same result. The filet was exactly the same. We did not send it back. That is not my thing. At the end of the dinner. I mentioned something about the salt to the server and he was surprised by the comment and said it would be passed along. After the fact I did a review search and found many similar comments. I was hopeful but salt is their thing on great cuts. Too bad they need to go to cooking school 101. Absolutely shocked at how far MRBL has fallen. This was my third and FINAL time dining here -- and what a complete disappointment. From start to finish, the experience was so bad it felt like an insult. Not even exaggerating, it was like being spit on after trusting a place you once respected. We started with mocktails. My wife barely sipped hers before asking for a replacement. No attitude, just a polite request. Instead of care, we got cold energy. Next came two sushi plates -- one was passable and we finished it, but the second was so off we literally spit it out. Asked them to take it away. Then came the lobster tails and tiger shrimp. I forced myself to eat half of one lobster tail. My wife couldn't stomach hers, and neither of us could take more than a bite of the shrimp -- again, asked to remove it. Finally, the dessert came. We asked them to just take it away. At this point, everything tasted wrong, old, and nothing like the high-end quality we remembered. Still, I paid the bill without looking, assuming they'd show some courtesy and take a few items off. Big mistake. I check after the charge and see I've been hit with a $360 bill for a dinner we practically didn't eat. When I called the waiter back, the manager came and told me the only thing she could remove was the shrimp. That's it. No apology, no real effort to make it right. I said: don't remove anything. He wanted steak and I wanted sushi so we were excited I find out MRBL has a lounge for those of us who aren't great at making reservations! Upon arrival, we found that MRBL has excellent ambiance, probably a top 10 in the area. The decor is so nice and the restaurant is lined with windows overlooking the river and skyline. Our dinner was very good. My husband said it was one of the best steaks he'd ever had; the mashed potatoes on the side were garlicky and yummy. My sushi was fresh and well-made.
