Whoever was running the floor that night seemed far more stressed than anyone else on staff -- tense, unapproachable, and noticeably short with the servers, even though they were working hard and doing nothing wrong. It genuinely affected the mood on the floor. I'd encourage the owner to look into additional training for whoever is in that role, or consider whether they're the right fit for managing front-of-house during busy nights -- because the rest of the staff clearly deserves better support than that.
