I decided to visit after walking up an appetite at First Landing State Park. I popped in & was told to sit wherever. I found a booth & looked over the menu. Decided to start with their fried pickles which were absolutely delicious! I also ordered a hamburger but was t impressed with it. It was cooked well but lacked flavor. The fries however were absolutely delicious!

Pleasant surprise! We stumbled across this place during the Strawberry Festival () and thought we would grab a drink and fries for the kids really quick then leave. The fries were LITERALLY the best I've ever had. No exaggeration. We also had the brisket tacos with the cheese crusted tortilla and every bite was amazing. I don't even like red onions but the pickled red onions were even amazing. Lastly we had the Cajun Peel -n- Eat Shrimp and they had the most amazing sauce. They were steamed perfectly and cleaned right. Everything was amazing and so glad we accidentally stopped in!

Yelp recommended this cute little spot for me. I'm in town on business and wanted a good burger. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. Very nice bathrooms as well. We ordered obay wing and just plain wings. The had nice flavor. The obay wings were a little too salty to me but they are still good. I got a double smash burger with bacon and fries. My sandwich was so flavorful and juicy. My fries were hot just like I like them and think cut. Thank God I don't live here because I wouldn't be able To fit through the door from eating here to much

I had lunch at Duck Dive Tavern at the Oceanfront, and it was everything I hoped for. Known for their elevated beach cuisine and laid-back beach town vibes, this Virginia Beach spot has something for everyone. I started with the Feather and Thin cocktail, which was like an adult Shirley Temple. Then, I tried the Frickles--crispy, battered pickles served hot with their homemade sauce. For my main dish, I had the fish sandwich with a side of perfectly seasoned Brussels sprouts. I added bacon, cheese, and red onions to the sandwich, and it was absolutely worth it! The fish was fried to perfection, and the house-made tartar sauce brought it all together. Whether you're planning a date night, hanging out with friends, or need a family-friendly spot, Duck Dive Tavern is the place to be at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Check them out!

Front side of the menu is food the other side, drinks.

Mini me and I spent time driving our old area looking for food. We tried many places until I ran around Ducks Dive. The food is almost awesome! But this is an area that the city wants it to change for tourists, yet most locals aren't happy with the change.

The good reviews brought us here to give them a try. Easy parking just off Laskin Rd, This is a spacious bar/restaurant, with many booths and high top tables and chairs. The bar spans almost the entire length of the business. There is plenty of room to mingle. The atmosphere is geared to those who like hard rock, that's what was playing, but not obnoxiously loud. They also have bands coming in, I don't know their schedules. To the food. The menu is not extensive. One side food and one side drinks. Specials were posted out front and on a board in the back. A review recommended dish was the Smash burger. My husband ordered a double, and it was really stacked with all the trimmings on a fresh bun. This came with French fries that were delicious, hot, and fresh as they should be. He was in his glory with the burger. Expect it to be well done. I was not as fortunate, I ordered the Fish and Chips, which was Cod, one of my favorites! What arrived was again the delightful French fries, and the Cod was 3 oval breaded pieces about 3" long and 1" wide, maybe 1/2" thick. The Cod was barely there. It was mostly breading. I could not get the flavor of the fish!. It screamed of prepackaged and frozen. I was disappointed. They did have cocktail sauce, malt vinegar, and ketchup as condiments. The service was great. I'm not sure if we will be back.

Double smash burger with delicious onion ring. The sauce is good too?

Some restaurants make you wait for a smaller table, so it was nice that they didn't do that here. It took about 15 minutes for someone to come take our initial drink order, which was a little slow, but service moved smoothly after that with no long waits for food or additional drinks. For appetizers, we ordered the chicharrón botanero, which was delicious and perfectly crispy. Just a heads up: it's pork belly, so it's definitely on the fattier side. If you enjoy rich, crispy pork, you'll love it, but if fatty meat isn't your thing, this might not be the dish for you. For drinks, we had a flavored margarita and a mojito, and both were strong and very good. I ordered the chicken fajita taco salad. The flavor was good and the chicken was well seasoned, but there was barely any actual lettuce, which was a little disappointing since I was expecting more of a true salad. Overall, good food, strong drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere. A couple small service and balance issues kept it from being a full five stars, but I'd still come back.

Here's the deal: Jessy's is located in a small shopping strip. While the building is a little older I did not think l it run down or in a part of town that I would consider questionable at all. I saw at least one review that noted this- could not disagree more., nothing to fear here. Plenty of parking and it's free! Once inside the restaurant is medium sized with seating for at least 15 parties and tables that can accommodative larger parties, 10+ people. There are two order stations at either side of the restaurant - one for hot food the other for ice cream and desserts. Service was friendly and attentive. You can choose to self order for takeout or be waited on. While staff wait on and bring you food and drink, pay is self pay at the food order counter. The menu is larger and has something for everyone. Proteins are optional for nearly every dish. The food here is authentic with lots of protections including some of my favorites- Al pastor and chicken tinga. Chips and salsa are scratch made and fresh- very good. We had street tacos which were very flavorful and also scratch cooked including the corn tortillas. Served with traditional hot sauces to add that little extra heat- awesome. The Al pastor was not grilled to get that char that some Al pastor dishes have but was otherwise spot on. Chicken tinga was perfect. If you are looking for authentic Mexican at reasonable prices, this is your place and absolutely worth a few minutes drive over. Hope to see you there sometime- happy eating!

I had 3 people in front of me in line and it didn't take long at all for me to reach the register and place my order. I wasn't that hungry but wanted to try the food out, so I got a Truth flounder taco for $4.95. The food was made quickly and tasted good! Bro's Fish Tacos has about six signature sauces which looked good, but unfortunately, they all have dairy in them, so I asked for the mayo based tartar sauce instead. While all the signature sauces have dairy in them, I appreciated that they stated that fact on their menu beside where their sauces were listed. I wish I had come about an hour later in the day because, after ordering, I learned that they have a happy hour from 3 to 5:30 each day where The Truth Taco is $3.50 and other dishes are cheaper as well. Some street fries were ordered for the table, and I had fished out about 5 fries without the sauce (because I figured there was a dairy sauce and cheese on top) and the fries were really tasty as well! The atmosphere inside is very fun and bright with huge glass garage door windows letting light in and colorful paintings of animals on the walls. If you have sensitivity to noise, know that they keep the music volume pretty low, but since the restaurant is right on the boulevard and has large glass windows, you're likely going to hear some noisy cars drive by. Overall, I had a good experience and would come here again, especially on a Tuesday, Sunday or after 3pm since that's when they have the best deals (which I appreciate)!
