Every time I am in Parkslope Brooklyn I always pass this restaurant, and I said that I must try it. So one day my family and I got dressed and we headed straight there. I always thought that the restaurant was big on the inside but to my surprise it was small maybe 16 to 20 people max which was fine with me. The ambience was a casual setting. We got seated quickly and got handed our menus. I ordered for the table chicken wings, which were delicious served with a side of sweet chili sauce, cheese, wontons, steamed chicken dumplings and for myself I had the hot and sour soup which was delicious. My son and partner both ordered soup with a side of pineapple fried rice, which went really well with the chicken wings and, I got for myself the drunken noodles with chicken, which was also really good. All in all the price was reasonable the service was good and the food was great and I do recommend and would return. Happy eating :) read more

Pretty standard Chinese fare. It definitely seems to be well loved in the neighborhood. I ordered the hot and sour soup and the chicken lo mein. With the cold weather the soup was so delicious. Really enjoyed and altogether a meal that was relatively affordable. read more

I just had the worst service that I've experienced in some time. The waiter was rude. The food took an extremely long time. Then it wasn't good (didn't finish it). It wound up being $14.70. $2.94 is a 20% so why in the world are you asking if I want change back when I give you $20!?! Crazy. I grew up in a restaurant since I was a child. The level of service has deteriorated significantly everywhere. For the record I still left $3.05. I work down the street and I won't be going back. read more

Decent Chinese food. The chicken broccoli is a solid staple but the shrimp broccoli is mushy mess.

This has been my GO-TO for 4 years or so. Literally every time I order Chinese/Thai I order here (also ate here in person but only once, maybe 2 years ago). The last few orders (maybe 3-4x in the past 3-4 months) have been so bad. They DO still have great cheese wontons, but really, that's not why I order - it's just an indulgence. My last order was garlic tofu and a pork fried noodle. There were actually no noodles. It was a DRIED noodle - not fried noodle. The sauce was horrid - so sugary and every veg was trash. I spent 40$ and literally threw 95% of the food away the same night - it was still warm. They also are so weirdly cheap about rice. Who gives a tiny portion of rice for so much sugar sauce? All of it tasted like very cheap Americanized crap I used to eat when I lived in a white small midwest town 25 years ago and didn't know any better. I'm so sad. I LOVED this place. I don't know what happened. But it's really not worth the money! Yo - fire whoever is making these crap decisions. I will PAY MORE for GOOD FOOD - inflation messing us all up. This review is for delivery only. The food here exceeded my expectations in some respects. Hubbie and I got the chicken with baby shrimp and broccoli lunch special with chicken fried rice and the shrimp toasts and boneless spare ribs to share. The rice lacked salt and was super oily but the flavor of the chicken and baby shrimp with broccoli was solid. The sauce was on the runnier side and tasted a lot lighter than other chicken and broccoli sauces I'm used to. The stars were the boneless spare ribs and the shrimp toasts. The ribs were delicious, not overly sticky sweet and packed a lot of flavor. The shrimp toasts tasted fresh, with a squeeze of lemon they were great. I recommend doing an appetizer night from this spot. They clearly have a bunch of fun options ranging from different dumplings and fried apps. Delivery was SUPER quick too for lunch. And the prices were super affordable. Will be ordering from here again. read more

The main entree was hidden beneath a large amount of rice - easily enough food for two people. I tried mr wonton today for lunch off the recommendation of a colleague , I ordered the sesame tofu a shrimp roll and a side of the fried fantail shrimp (fried hard) when I tell you the crunch the crisp the snap crackle and pop was soo good? This review is for takeout only, for which Mr Wonton does relatively well. The American-Chinese beef and broccoli hit the spot, and the chicken with mixed vegetable was surprisingly good. I did not enjoy the touted veggie dumplings with spicy peanut sauce. It felt too heavy and heavy-handed. Portions were generous and delivery was fast. Mr Wonton does the job. read more

What a great little gem in park slope! We came for lunch and had the lunch special. The ambiance is great with nice decor and pleasant, relaxing, meditative world music. Plus the service was great. Really nice people work here! When the service is great it makes a big difference! Our lunch special started off with hot and sour soup. Which we both loved. I had the garlic chicken with vegetables. The vegetables were very fresh and the chicken was tender and not over cooked (like some other restaurants do) I loved it but next time I'll substitute broccoli for celery. (I can't eat celery) My brother had the chicken with broccoli which he liked. But he likes the garlic sauce better and will do that next time. Great value tasty meal! On a rainy day thru DoorDash delivery we ordered following : 1) sweet & sour chicken with brown rice for $16.75. Portion was nice, we split it with my boss, a special sauce to dunk rice and meat was excellent addition. 2) pork dumplings - 6 of them , again with a sauce on a side was good for $9.25. 3) pepper steak with white rice shared by two for $18.25 also was good. Unfortunately 4) cold noodles with sesame sauce was missing from the order for $7.50. We requested the refund and was processed. I've been ordering for years from this place. They always have major attitudes and expect a 30% plus tip. I placed an order this evening and they just canceled my order without a call. When I called in for an explanation they told me the manager cancelled my order because I did a charge back previously. I've never done a charge back. How dare these people!!! Came here on a wet cold and rainy Brooklyn night. My husband used to frequent here years ago. The place has been here a while, but is a little dated decor wise inside. We ordered a Happy meal, special fried rice, spare ribs and peking duck. I had to ask for the spring opinion as they forgot this with the peking duck. Service was friendly. Mr. Wonton is an excellent restaurant, with great Chinese-takeout style dishes and a ton of vegetarian options. Honestly the best General Tso's tofu I've ever had - the perfect mix of crunchy, sweet, and spicy. Great soups, noodles, and (of course) wontons in my experience as well. Please note that I've only ordered delivery or takeout, but the inside of the restaurant is incredibly welcoming and charming. read more

Mr Wonton has been my go-to Chinese/Thai restaurant for years. We usually do take-out, and it is usually ready to be picked up in 10-15 minutes. It's still piping hot when we get it home. Some of my favorites are Pad Thai (better than most of the Thai restaurants around here), drunken noodles with vegetables (cooked perfectly), egg foo young (hard to find on the menu). I've never had a bad experience with them. On the rare occasion when we eat in, it's not noisy, the service is good, and the atmosphere relaxed. It's an unpretentious restaurant, but the experience is excellent. read more

Their hot and sour soup is the most satisfying and flavorful that I have ever had (if you get a large they automatically include a bag of crisps). It's bursting with carrots, mushrooms, and tofu. The tangerine chicken is spicy/sweet and absolutely addicting. I do wish it came with more broccoli... But my favorite is just a simple order of chicken and mixed vegetables in brown sauce. The chicken is so tender, and there's such a variety of veggies. I could eat this every day! read more

Delivery is so quick idk how they do it, their chicken and broccoli is so good and the chicken is really good compared to other places that send you weird mystery meat. They weren't as bad as most Chinese on these types of apps so that was why I gave them a 3, the food was decent rather than nasty, which has been my experience with most Chinese restaurants on the seamless app. Kudos to them for that because finding decent Chinese on seamless is no easy feat. Pros: Chicken tasted fresh and looked like chicken rather than clumps of breading or suspicious meat balls. Broccoli & shrimp in shrimp fried rice was good and shrimp in abundance. Ordered shrimp dumplings (not pictured) because of all the positive reviews and it did not disappoint, was definitely worth the hype. Came with free soup or salad which was a nice bang for your buck. Cons: I ordered a shrimp roll and received a shrimp eggroll instead and these are not the same. Most Chinese restaurants that offer a shrimp eggroll in particular or both, label it as such, mine was labeled as "shrimp roll" but came in person as a shrimp eggroll. A shrimp eggroll is more like a spring roll with shrimp, whereas a shrimp roll is more greasy, and breaded differently then spring rolls. The breading is significantly different, that's why if I notice a restaurant advertises their shrimp roll as "shrimp eggroll," I decide not to order it OR if I see they offer both, I'll make sure to pick the one titled, "shrimp roll" versus "shrimp eggroll." Another con was that the rice was more like white rice than fried rice, honestly looked like a white rice with soy sauce on it to tint it (tho I didn't taste soy). Almost like if they took white rice and tried to fry it or tint it, but it tasted more like a bland white rice with an odd texture. Almost like they fried rice that wasn't meant for frying and hoped it'd be close but it wasn't. (Can see in the photos if you look closely) Worth a try and forming your own opinion but don't waste money on fried rice because it's not fried rice, just get the white rice. read more
