Orange chicken Combo platter w/ pork fried rice (also comes with an egg roll)

The absolute best thing about Number One Chinese Kitchen is you only need to spend $6 MINIMUM for delivery. So if you live or are staying in this area and don't want to spend an extensive amount of money or leave the comfort of your own home, ordering from this restauraunt wouldn't be the worse decision in the world. Also, they DO accept credit cards and you can state that you want to pay for it with your card when you call. So yes, say at little as possible and be prepared with your order. SERVICE/DELIVERY: Like many yelpers before me have mentioned, the staff aren't extremely fluent in English, but they are really kind and courteous. When the delivery man came to the door he handed me the food I ordered and didn't get upset with me when it slipped my mind to sign the receipt (since I paid with card). He kindly reminded and went along his way. So service and delivery for delivery purposes only is pretty good and don't forget to tip especially in the Fall/Winter seasons where rain is abundant and from what I could see they use bikes or mopeds or something other than a car to delivery you food, but don't worry your food is well-protected because my dishes weren't water-damaged! FOOD: All foods are made differently dependent on where you get them from. I firmly believe this, especially when it comes to different Asian cuisines. That being said, I've never had Chinese food like this before, which I don't mean in a bad way. It's definitely authentic, if that's what's most important to you. My friend and I both got combination platters. The combination platters come with an egg roll, pork fried rice, and an entree of your choosing. I tried the orange chicken and she got the chicken chow mein. The orange chicken was decent and filling. I have never orange chicken like it before because there were actually bits and pieces of real oranges throughout the dish. My friend's chow mein was a different story...it looked kind of slimy and weird, but to be honest the flavor was all there and they just used a different noodle than you normally might see at a different chinese restauraunt or one that is more Americanized like Panda Express. I think the noodles they used were rice noodles, but I can't confirm or deny this hypothesis because it was just really based on how it looked. All in all, I think that you can't really go wrong from ordering here and it's super convenient that you only need to pay up to $6 to get food delivered to your door. If I wasn't just visitng and lived in the area, I'd probably be a regular since sometimes my lazy struggle is absolutely real. Not all dishes can be amazing and I've only tried a few, so just keep an open mind and know this isn't Panda Express and you should be fine.

Fly in soup. Gross

Ugh what can I say. I've been ordering delivery from here for a few months and the food has always been just meh. Nothing to write home about, but not too terrible. I'm writing a review now because I found a fly in my soup. I find that 100% extremely unacceptable. There are so many generic Chinese restaurants that I'd rather eat at without flies in my food! Disgusting.

Plain Fried Rice, 11. Shrimp Dumplings French Fries

Plain Fried Rice, 11. Shrimp Dumplings French Fries Food was disgusting overall I would give the food a 1/5 , fries where cold and rice was extremely under cooked and lacked flavour. 11. Shrimp Dumplings French Fries Plain Fried Rice

Only salvageable item from my order. A side of fried rice.

Disaster. Ordered from Seamless and the entire order had spilled into the bag. Only thing salvageable was a small order of fried rice... which I had to wipe clean of the mess of spilled lo mein. I will be eating cereal for dinner... and will not be ordering from here again.

Suppose to be chicken and broccoli in garlic sauce*carried food side ways whole way here clearly*

First start with the rude delivery driver. Calls my phone screaming demanding I come down stairs*don't live in bad area* wouldn't have ordered out if I felt like getting dress. Then walk away cursing at me guess he didn't like tip he earned Food gets here 40-45min later with warm food.that was either put in bag sideways and left that way or he recklessly carried it. As result food was in nice shallow puddle of garlic sauce. Only gave them two stars because did try to address it by giving me a credit for my chicken and broccoli but gf food was only Luke warm. So just returned the order..heard good things wanted to try them out too bad

Crab Ragoon

So I placed an order solely because of Yelp reviews.my take on this place is bias partly because they messed up my order and it was a bit of a challenge explaining my address and what i wanted to order to the person on the other end of the phone ( just a language barrier mayb this is why i got my rice order screwed up ) I ordered my fav shrimp with broccoli and garlic sauce and i also got the general t-so shrimp to taste what people were raving about. the shrimp with garlic sauce was tasty the general t-so shrimp was fine the sauce was great and spicy but the shrimp overly battered for my taste. i will have to definitely give this place another try. Oh i almost forgot i got the crab ragoon it was okay , it tasted bland i've had better here in the hood...dont get me wrong the people were nice and had good phone manners and this was the quickest delivery i have ever had.

The food was very fairly priced and the portions were huge. We got the pork soup dumplings, pork fried rice, szechuan chicken (which came with white rice), and pad see ew (which though not listed comes with pork, chicken, and shrimp). Everything was solid, but our favorite was the fried rice which had a ton of flavor. I liked the veggies that were in the chicken dish but there were just way too many of them compared to the chicken and I wasn't crazy about the sauce. The pad see ew wasn't made the traditional way I've had it with soy sauce and oyster sauce. It had some sort of orange sauce that tasted closer to a sweet and sour. It wasn't bad it was just not what I was hoping for. The soup dumplings were solid, no complaints there. And the fried rice was great, lots of flavor. Overall, I liked this place especially for the price but I'd probably order different things if I went back.

I had a taste for Chinese food like good old school. Chinese food and I happen to look on one of…read morethe delivery apps and located this place. I found parking down the block and walked over to the restaurant. It seems like more of a delivery spot because there was no one inside sitting at any of the 5 tables. It's a fairly good size space, very simply decorated, mixed with a cool wall resembling a curio cabinet of treasures. I chose a spot in the middle and went to the restroom which was clean and simple. I noticed there were a lot of takeout orders, from delivery services to local folks picking up their regular dinner. I looked over the menu and decided on salt and pepper wings and an order of shrimp. Fried Rice came out first and it was delicious. I even tasted a hint of salted egg yolk mixed into the egg mixture friefried up with the rice that signature crispiness with the little saltiness.... fantastic. The salt and pepper wings were different than the ones i'm accustomed to though the flavor was amazing. It didn't have the fried garlic, peppers, chilis, and onions that i'm accustomed to being in the dish. They were still flavorful, juicy and crisp and I could tell they cooked them fresh. That was much appreciated. I ended up taking half of my food home because I was stuffed.Thank you Msm Ellen and the Crown Garden crew for a tasty solo dinner.

There was nothing that I ordered that needed ketchup. Nothing. There wasn't even soy sauce in the bag. Then had the unmitigated gall to charge $22 for the salt baked shrimp and told me I had to pay $5 extra to substitute the lo mein for white rice. Who is eating white rice with shrimp? Girl bye. I'm not paying almost $30 for one meal from a hood Chinese spot. If there's no heat in your establishment, your prices need to be in lowercase. If it looks like you might catch staph in your establishment, your prices need not to be so loud. I also believe they overcharged me. They did have a sign saying that the prices went up, but I think they may have been too cheap to print out a new menu if that was the case. I was going off of what they had on the wall for the general public. So as I stated, I ordered crab Rangoon ($7, allegedly), honey wings ($7, allegedly), a shrimp egg roll ($2, allegedly), spare rib tips with fried rice ($12, allegedly). My total was $31. My assumption is they probably charged me extra for pork fried rice, which I didn't ask him for. I know for a fact they are not charging tax because there's no way that you're forcing people to pay in cash while also charging them for taxes that you don't pay. The crab Rangoon was actually pretty decent even though I didn't have the sauce that comes with it. The honey wings were OK. They actually taste more like honey BBQ. I prefer C&Y honey wings. It's real honey and stay hot for an hour due to the way honey maintains heat. I also don't appreciate when these spots chop up a wing and call it two wings. 1 wing is the entire thing. STINGY. The spare rib tips I don't like and neither do I like their pork fried rice. The rice is a bit bland and I don't like those large spare rib tips. I prefer the boneless spare rib tips that C&Y has. A shrimp roll is a shrimp roll is a shrimp roll. It wasn't too bad and it was actually pretty happy. The shrimp was a little bit larger than those baby shrimp that they normally stuff in shrimp rolls. Their pricing is on par with C&Y yet I don't have no issues paying what they ask and their food is good aside from their lo mein. They are not stingy and have pretty decent customer service unlike the guy who took my order here who paused my order to take another order over the phone and tend to the person behind me. This is what I get for cheating on my spot and being lazy when they both were far af.

I tried the wontons in spicy peanut sauce. It was different because I'm use to chili wontons. The spicy peanut sauce wasn't spicy. The peanut sauce itself is pretty thick, so I would recommend dipping it in the accompanying dipping sauce to balance the flavors. I would try the spicy peanut wontons again. I also tried the pork soup dumplings, which took some time to cook. It arrives very hot, so give it some time to cool off, maybe 5-10 minutes. The soup dumplings were mid, maybe I would try the truffle soup dumplings if I came back. I love how the dumplings are made in house

It is a chaotic mess for the volume they are trying to do. It's not about adding more manpower, it's about streamlining. Tables are sitting empty while people are on the waitlist (not due to reservations), orders are going to the wrong tables, to-go orders are in disarray and have to be re-verified on multiple orders, and it takes a long time to get some water. The Yelp waitlist is useless here - wait was supposed to be 5-10 minutes and it turned into almost 40. All this could have been avoided with more planning, better organization, and training. Kitchen staff doing their job well. Front of house needs work.
