Walking around Seattle- John spotted this tiny little ordering window and saw Lemonade- yes please. Order at a kiosk and wait a few minutes and the window opens, your name is called & viola~ order up. Just a lemonade with added mint (omg- just try it!) and we both laughed at the bucket oh lemonade! I think John killed it in under 5 minutes and I got A singular sip. I'll remember this little spot for a future visit!

In my recent visit to Seattle, I stumbled across a tiny hole in the wall (literally) and I was intrigued to use the kiosk at the window to order a sweet treat. Very simple menu and so easy to order. I ordered the banana and Nutella waffle! It was made to order, so fresh and warm! It was so delicious!!! I would order this again! The waffle had an amazing flavor and it was perfectly soft, fluffy but had a little crunch to the ends. Most places serve soggy waffles and this was by far not the case!

The food here is phenomenal. Every waffle that came out was incredibly pleasing to the eye and also to our mouths! Coffee was fantastic as well and the one worker running the entire place was quick and welcoming. Ambiance was cool with a small bar to sit at and a mural behind it. We would definitely return here and recommend others to stop here!

Seattle has so many food spots, we were in town for a sports event and wanted to try a local breakfast spot near 1st street as we made our way down to the waterfront. Mr. Waffle was recommended, it is located near Pikes Places on 1st street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The locations is very compact, it seats about 8-10 adults at most in a bar top like setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can place your order through a touch screen from the street, or just inside the door. The business owners do ask that you do not bring in your own food or drink, a tough ask especially if you have little ones or have specific food or drink allergies, they do not police this much, we all had Starbucks drinks and nothing was said. There were two folks prepping the food, the wait times were not bad about, 5-8 min or so. As far as the price, its not cheep, for the three of us we bought three items and one drink for around $53.00. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Its compact inside, also a little warm with the open kitchen but a fun little spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered three different food items, The Strawberries and Cream the traditional Breakfast Sando (sandwich) and the Chicken and Waffles. The portions are small, the food quality is high, they were not as busy as some of the larger breakfast sights on the same street, so for a quick bite, it hit the spot.

Ok dining space. Good waffles. Better toppings. Chill service. Great experience. I tried both a savory and a sweet style waffle and nothing more so I dont have much to say about anything but their waffles. Probably my favorite chicken and waffles ive had, but not by a lot. The sweet apple waffle was also really good. I appreciate that the waffles and ingredients are already pretty cut into even bites which made my experience that much better. Way less mess and faster to eat. Ill have to come back to sample some of their other offerings next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like the interior decoration and how clean everything is, but beware it is small.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]So small there isnt table seating. Just bar top styled seating for maybe 10 ish people for the whole restaraunt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Feels like a small ramen bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So small there isnt really room to wait in line to order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Oh yea, you have to order from a touchscreen kiosk. I think there are 2 machines. It was an easy enough process. The only thing I wanted more of was more savory options and for the spicy chicken to be a hit spicier or maybe a spicy sauce on the side. Either way my food was delicious. Filling??? Not so much. 3 hours after eating i was ready for another meal, but it was good enough. For the price I felt like I got my monies worth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Oh, and I didn't notice a restroom so I had to run to the market after eating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Oh yea, good luck finding parking. Probably the hardest time finding parking that ive had in a long time. Luckily its the pikes area so its worth the adventure.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place feels like a hole-in-the-wall even though it's opposite many eateries that border Pike Place Market and has outside lights that are yellow and very noticeable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is quite small and has only bar seating closest to the kitchen area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Whether you dine in or take out, you first order your food up at the kiosk at the outside window, then either wait outside or take a seat inside. My friend and I got here on a Saturday afternoon for a quick bite and bar seating was about halfway filled up. We each got spicy chicken & waffles and a breakfast sando, and even though there was a slight bit of wait for each, we were both very satisfied with what we got! The spicy chicken and waffles has just the right amount of spice for me to handle, and had its own unique flavor profile even after having syrup on top of it for the waffles. For something both sweet and savory (which I usually don't prefer), this combination here works. Chicken was more on the salty side, though. As for the breakfast sando, it had an egg and some bacon in it. It was very simple but I prefer that and they made this one very fresh; the toasted bread was so good, and I was definitely tempted to get another one. As a eandom note, I also loked how they provided a hand wipe near our entrees. Portions here are small, and I do feel the items are priced quite high in proportion to the portions, but for me the taste and feel of the place more than makes up for it. My friend and I even got a free sticker of their logo from our server since he noticed the two of us talking a lot about food while we were eating. I felt very welcomed here and would come back here for another quick bite!

How this place got 4.5 stars I will never know. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Came in here with our kids on a Sunday afternoon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were on the way to another cafe down the street but got attracted by the pictures outside. We ordered a Grandmas Apple Pie waffles and a Chicken & Waffles with 1 extra piece of chicken. Total came out to be $33. And no I did not tip since we sat at the bar and there was no service other than making the food. I digress. The food was terrible. Waffles were super soggy like frozen food. The sauce tastes like fast food McDonald's apple pie. (Honestly I would have been happier). Instead of a nice piece of fried chicken thigh, we got frozen chicken fingers on waffles. Yup, I would give 0 stars if I could. I never waste food. Even if it was free I might have to turn it down. Yes that bad. Never mind it was not cheap.

Absolutely delicious!!!! I purchased the waffle bites and bacon and they were so yummy!! Service was incredible, Livia was a sweetheart and gave us great advice on the neighborhood and where to look for apartments! This is a great quick bite place to grab some very good waffles. They are reasonably priced and very friendly. The space isn't very big and there is only room for about 4 people to sit down. I would recommend for something quick and easy to eat and not for sitting down. It's not the fanciest place, but they can make a wonderful waffle! read more

This place has is super cute and hipster. The associates were super sweet and kind. This place opened two weeks ago and they are here to stay. We order Abuleta lemonade was super sweet and tamarind straw. The night in bangkok was perfect sweet thankful for the sample. I ended up ordering the passionate about me with fresh passionfruit seeds and lemon slices. Love you berry much was good. The drink sides are pretty large with plenty of flavor. Lovely new Waffle shop right across the Pike Market Place. I parked at the lot across the Pike Market and noticed them right away. They had a cool vibe going on with all the Seattle Sports Memorabilia & Rock and roll music playing. It's a tiny shop with only about 4 seats. Everyone seem to be having a great time chatting with the employees and enjoying their food! I ordered the #Sunday Morning which came with Nutella, Bananas, & Almonds. I loved the little mint garnish they put on top! Overall the presentation was on point & the food was extremely tasty! I'll definitely be back if I'm visiting Seattle! Cute little storefront downtown, right at Pike Place Market. The service is A1, the worker answered all questions with a smile and even gave recommendations. I am so bummed we waited until our last day to try #hashtagwaffle! I would have liked to stop by here every day to try a different waffle and a different one of their cold drinks. It's right down by pikes market, so easy to miss with all of the other options, but don't skip it! I had the #hashtagbites and my husband had the #grandmasapplepie. Both recommended! Also got to try the #sleeplessinseatle which is an espresso with fresh milk and mint leaves served in a cute bucket over ice. If you haven't tried this cute place you need to go! The food was spectacular! We found this during our visit from Orlando and this did not disappoint. The food was very filling and so delicious. The owner was super nice and welcoming. I wish we had a place like this back home. I also wish we discovered this earlier on our trip so we could have come more than once. Worst food I've had while my stay in Seattle. Honestly save your time AND money ($20 for waffle+ small chicken). I usually dont write reviews but this time I felt entitled too. waffle was okay at best, chicken is where everything went downhill. Chicken was very blubbery as if someone cooked frozen food way too fast which is probably what happened. Way better spots in this same area. At least the employee was nice. read more

Small intimate place. We were unsure about no tables, but decided to take a chance and sit at the counter, because we really wanted to try the food. Waffles and drinks were delicious! Thank you to the Hashtag Waffles staff for providing outstanding food and great service! my partner and I ordered the #strawberryblondie, which was fresh and tasty! but I'm still thinking about that #sundaefundae! Each bite was a delight, and the presentation blew us away! On top of their Mochi Waffle was Sea-salted Carmel, Condensed Milk, & local French vanilla ice cream. Truly a delicious treat! Also, shout out to their drink buckets, which were pretty cool to carry around the city! #NeverLycheeGo is a must try!!!. Hands down, some of the best food I've had! I Highly recommend Hashtag Waffles for their great service & delicious food!I stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon after a long meeting, and it was the perfect treat! I ordered the #Grandma'sApplePie with Ice cream & whipped cream! The order came out lightning quick and with a smile! The coffee here is excellent too! I added the $2 hot beverage with any waffle purchase (hot americano) and it was real smooth. I picked up a retail bag to make some cold-brew at home!There was a queue of people, but it didn't take anything away from the space. There are only 4 seats here, but the turnover is pretty quick and it's easy to get seated here. Fun atmosphere, beautiful wall highlighting Seattle sports, & fun classic rock playing in the background! All things considered, the prices are very reasonable for Downtown Seattle & the Pike Place Market district. We walked in just before they were closing and they were kind enough to make a waffle for us. This is unlike the ordinary waffles we all love. These are waffles taken to the next level. An assortment of different kinds of loaded waffles will have you asking for more. Don't forget to try one of the house made drinks! The location itself is small but there is a bar that you can sit at. Take a seat, enjoy the tunes and gaze at the walls around which are filled with all things Seattle sports. Hope you enjoy the waffles as much as we did! read more

We just tried this today, would highly recommend! The apple pie waffle was off the hook good. The base waffle is great and they have a lot of interesting topping combinations, we will be back to try more! Also a lot of good drinks on the menu from coffee to Thai iced tea. The owners are super friendly. Nice spot to pop in to if you are near Pike Place. read more

The waffles were fine. I'm taking points off for the "fee" of 4.35% added to the bill on top of the tax. It says here in Yelp "no fees", so I don't know why there would be a fee, especially when walking in the door and ordering, not even going through a middleman. read more

Enjoyed a mid-day weekend stop here -- waffles were carefully made and delicious, our favorite of our 3 was the waffles with nutella and bananas. Would love to also see a few savory choices on the menu. Overall happy to try out a different type of meal and was nice and filling! We were warmly greeted and ate inside which gave us a chance to see how carefully our waffle dishes were made. Very friendly staff and fun seeing all the sports items up on the walls. We ordered the french fries which are shoestring fries, side of catfish, a side of red beans and rice, and a side plate of fried green tomatoes, which comes with four bite-size pieces. Being from the south born and raised, I'm a particular about my catfish and even though the breading had flavor, the catfish to me did not taste very clean plus there was a hair stuck to the breading of the catfish. It wasn't a small hair. The mystery hair either fell in the oil or it was in the batter is my guess. Because when I went to break the catfish apart, that is when it sprung the rest of it out, there was a small curl tip sticking out of the top of the fish. Unfortunately, the green tomatoes had absolutely no flavor. I will say the red beans and rice had the most flavor. I could taste the seasoning and the spice with a little bit of heat. I also really appreciate that there was some veggies mixed in with some meat as well. The shoestring fries it's either a hit for some or a miss and for me it was a miss, but I've had lots of different kinds of shoestring fries from multiple locations, and different states. It's a hard one to make. They were fried crispy and excellent. I would say it's more of the seasoning that was a dislike. The decor throughout the restaurant was beautiful to view. There are photos of the owners their family and friends. Not only could I see the love and commitment put into this restaurant, but also I could feel it as soon as I walked in. My takeaway is for the cooks to wear hairnets and if they have beards, to also put nets on their beards to further prevent hairs falling into people's food. Fried green tomatoes are not an item that can be found at most restaurants. It's easy to make but definitely the seasoning on it could be improved. Also, possibly just going simple with the seasoning like salt and a little pepper on the shoestring fries, sometimes keeping it simple is the best. A topic I want to touch on, not because I got it, but because going through the reviews prior to coming not too many people were discussing the waffles and this was a direct witness of what I could see. I did not taste it so I can't describe how the waffles tasted, but they look like they were cooked golden brown, which was nice but they are I would say more on the thinner side than what I usually see at places that serve chicken and waffles. If you are reading this review and you are looking for a place that serves you a nice thick waffle please do not come here because you will be disappointed, and I do not want people being disappointed when they are looking for something in particular and they end up ordering something that they did not want. Besides my recommendations, as I mentioned, this is a place that is full of love and commitment and I appreciate the community that has supported this establishment. It is not easy keeping a restaurant open and it's even harder these days being a person of color to even have your own establishment. As always, my friends be safe out there. During my visit, my wife and I approached an employee -- identifiable by a yellow bandana -- to ask a simple question about the ingredients in a sandwich. Rather than assisting us courteously, he dismissed our inquiry and curtly told us to "read the tablet." This response felt dismissive and disrespectful, especially given that we were simply seeking clarification as first-time visitors from Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the croissant tasted pretty average similar to something you'd find at a grocery store. It didn't feel special or stand out in any way. Overall, it was just okay, and I don't think I'd come back.

It's nice that they will text you when it's done, so you don't need to hang around. There's plenty to see and do in the area. I don't recommend coming here if you're starving though, as I imagine there's almost always a wait. The service here is hilarious in a good way. They yell a lot and swear, but it's all really funny. Also, be aware that there is practically nowhere to sit except on the the sidewalk or at one of their three tables. You will want to take your food elsewhere. I had a bacon egg biscuit with a side of cheesy grits and a cup of coffee. The biscuit sandwich was excellent with a fried egg and thin, crispy bacon. The bitch sauce and the cheese is what makes this so special. The cheesy grits were also really good and very cheesy. I struggle to give this five stars as I don't know if it's worth it if you have to wait over an hour like I did, but if I only had to wait 30 minutes I may have felt different.

Located directly across the street from our hotel, Midtown Espresso is a cozy, locally family-operated establishment on 5th Avenue tucked in among Belltown's densest condos, where some of us started the day in Seattle last July.
