I was at a high school event and Avery's Chicken & Waffles was parked outside. I decided to give it a try during one of the breaks and am SO glad I did. I had the 3 chicken tenders and they were amazing! The batter is light yet very crunchy it's not heavy or overly breaded like some other places. This batter doesn't overpower the chicken and, instead, perfectly compliments it. I had it with buffalo sauce and it was a perfect pairing. If I weren't so full, I'd go and get more. :) read more

I very much like the idea of what they are trying to provide, however, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. I tried them last year and I was not impressed. I just tried them about two weeks ago at the Monroe farmers market, the chicken was tough and tasteless... No seasoning whatsoever.. I realize that they have sauce to provide for flavor, but that should be an additive on top of the deliciousness that should be in one's hand just before a bite is taken. Also, it detractor was powdered sugar on the waffle, that is not something I've ever seen at a chicken and waffles place. A few improvements need to be made, I would like to see the change happen for the better. read more

Avery's Chicken and Waffles is a must try. I had the chicken and it was seasoned perfectly with a crispy golden crunch. My wife had the chicken sandwich and she loved every bite. I really appreciate that this is a family run spot. You can see the pride in how they work and it is great watching the kids learn responsibility early. The customer service is warm, friendly, and makes you feel like family. The food comes out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. This is easily one of the best chicken and waffle places around. Very kind & patient when taking orders, & happy to answer questions (like the hotness scale of their wings) My sister was very excited that the kind lady working there was so sweet to her, & was excited to receive her hot wings & fries - which she says were amazing ! I can admit that the fries nice & fresh are amazing as well, & the wings smelled phenomenal (& very spiced, despite being in the middle haha !) & looked nicely fresh ! Holy smokes! Avery's known how to do it right. One of the best food trucks we had. The chicken it fresh, it tastes like it's dredged it a bit of curry, spiced to perfection, before being thrown in flour and fried to fantastic crunch. On a very snowy afternoon, we ventured out to Haywire Brewing in Snohomish to get a Christmas tree. It was freezing but a nice day. After we were done, we walked up the driveway more towards the brewery. It was their 6th anniversary and really, really packed. But because of the special occasion, they had a couple food trucks, one being Avery's Chicken & Waffles. Let me tell you, this was amazing. I wasn't prepared for how big these sandwiches were going to be! I got one with Garlic Lemon Pepper and honey mustard, while my husband got Sweet Heat. When we were handing our sandwiches, they had some weight to them. I opened my box to see the sandwich filled the whole thing! Already worth the price in portion size alone. These sandwiches though... so good. I'm not positive if the chicken is homemade but it sure seems like it. The breading had great flavor and the sauces were so good. They definitely turned into two meals for the both of us. The owners were really nice! The woman taking orders told me about how the garlic lemon pepper flavor was more of a dry seasoning than a sauce and asked if I wanted to try their homemade honey mustard or ranch. The flavors together were so good and I'm really excited to try the ranch next time we're able to stop by. This is a new truck so give them a go if you see them, you won't be disappointed! For those people missing Roscoes definitely try this place; it'll definitely hit the spot and I don't say this lightly but it's honestly better than Roscoes. You just can't beat that made-with-love, family recipe taste that pops in their food (which came out hot and fresh) . The service was great and it was super easy to order, it only took about 4 minutes to get my food and they were even able to walk my food over to my job a couple feet away which goes to show how much they value their customers! Was very impressed with how good their sandwich was. We pulled up to dreadknot to have a beer and appy. We're not excited about the truck but saw everyone in the place had their truck food with them.
