I say this because if I pay $12 dollars for a pretty basic hotdog I assume that I am watching a big sporting event or at a concert, not at the Monroe junk hunt. They were at the Monroe farmer's market today. I've been wanting to try them for a while now but never made it out to an event they were at. I love a good hot dog and couldn't figure out why they didn't have a line. Got a very tasty Super Fan hot dog, with the candied jalapeño relish and cream cheese. Then I realized the whole reason they didn't have a massive line like the other trucks is just because of how fast they are, and absolutely wasn't a reflection of the truck's food. The person working the truck was really friendly and I got my hot dog in under 2 minutes. All of the other food trucks had ticket times that seemed upwards of 10 minutes causing massive backups. Was a short wait to get my lunch, and was unimpressed when I noticed they had put 3 packs of pickle relish with my hot dog... come on packs of pickle relish ya got fresh cut onions and fresh cut jalapeños and you give packs of pickle relish.. so glad I didn't get ketchup or mustard probably more packs.. My wife and just got back from Lake Stevens' farmers market where Big dogs food truck was at so after we wandered around and checked out the venders displays we decided to give them a try. In all honesty this isn't my first big dog meal but it has been a while and I can't remember what I had then but I do remember it was a good meal then and that was consistent with tonight's order. So my wife ordered the "Wilson" , and I ordered the "Seadog". The hotdogs that you get are a beef dog nice snap when you take a bite it's not a speciality wiener but it is a good foundation, their buns are a hoggy roll while not a traditional hotdog bun I think this allows them to be generous with the add ons. We hired this truck for an event at our affordable housing property. They are quick, professional, and so nice. They were patient with all of our residents and made everyone feel welcome while serving up the tastiest hot dogs. After not running out of hot dogs at the event, they actually went out of their way to come back and serve hot dogs for another 3 hours to our residents at our property. Amazing service and people! The guy is really nice. But the quality of dog and the price just wasn't worth it. I talked to him about another place, and he made it sound like his dogs were way better. After i ate what he whipped up, there was no comparison. I could have got the same dog from costco for 1.50 with a soda. The only difference was the toppings. My Mr. had the Diesel Dog which features a Louisiana hot link, cheese sauce, bacon and spicy BBQ sauce, he said he would give it 5 stars for the heat alone. Instead of looking it up, funny enough all I had to do was look around. And there it was, a big decked out in Seahawks colors food truck sitting on a lot right off the main street heading out of Monroe. Easy to get to, quick, in & out, 5 bucks, and a variety of fun flavors. The dog and bun have quality, but the taste combinations that are tweaked up with the toppings are the stand out. I do agree with some of the reviews that it would be great if they found a way to do grilled onions and peppers. That would do wonders to what they offer. No surprise that the choices are Seattle and Seahawk themed. I went with one of their trademark favs, smothered with cheese sauce, bacon, and jalapenos. Delicious and gone in a matter of moments. They are only around in the early afternoon, so the timing has to be right. Jerry is purely an awesome guy! We had him at one of our car meets and it's a decision I will never regret. The dogs are stellar! Delicious with each dog having it's own clever amount of toppings that compliment the dog perfectly. For 5.00 it's worth it. I would rather come here than any fast food chain. If you want a quick dog that's tasty this is a pleasant surprise in the middle of nowhere. It's conveniently located right next to the liquor store too! I'd give them five stars if they would (please) make a real "Seattle Dog" like the vendors downtown. All they need to do is grill the buns and, some onions, and it'd be 5 stars all the way. They have the cream cheese at least, but the grilled bun and onions really set it apart. I'd say this is comparable to the "Buck Fifty Cafe" dogs at Costco, but they have more toppings than Costco. I paid $5 for my dog. They say the cart is too small to grill onions, etc. but they need some encouragement from the customer's! Wife and I came here for the Wednesday farmers Market in Monroe that's located in the Grocery Outlet parking lot. Big Dogs participates in the market which is great. I ordered the Wilson and my wife ordered a custom dog. We were both very happy with our choices as they were super good with quality ingredients. The owner running the show in the truck was very friendly and seemed to really enjoy his time there. I really enjoyed the Seahawk theme of his truck. Went to their first Grand Opening in the previous location. They start with a good dog, but it's what goes on top that makes the difference. Food is super tasty. BUT They are scheduled at the TMobile Bothell office on occasion from 11am - 2pm. They always dip out around/before 1pm. The bun was a Costco sandwich roll straight out of the bag, no toasting or even heating - which is fine, but if I'm paying $10 for a hot dog I'd expect a little more.
