We ordered a turkey leg which was so tender and moist that it fell off the bone.

We ordered the $35 clam orzo and the $54 New York steak medium rare. The New York comes with no sides. $54 is the price for the steak on its own. They don't have a menu of sides and we weren't asked if we wanted any sides with it. The "New York" that we got was literally just a chunk of fat with maybe 5 bites of meat on it. It was literally cold and still blue, so rare. It had barely been put onto the grill. The flavor was bland, like a cheap steak you'd get at buzz in. Definitely not a $50+ steak and was not cooked appropriately. The clam orzo looked promising. Huge portion and smelled delicious, but I took one bite and it was so salty I couldn't eat it. Literally tasted like the salt container fell in it. They did end up refunding us for the steak and the orzo. We paid for our drinks, the calamari and left hungry. Still ended up paying $50 (plus a $10 tip for our nice waitress) for an appetizer, two bottled IPA's and one rum cocktail. Also worth mentioning that the tables are very close together. It felt like we were eating with the strangers next to us. Our seat on one side was a shared bench with other guests and it was very loud, not a problem unless you want to have a semi private conversation. So disappointing after waiting years for a toddler free night to visit this restaurant.. I'm not sure that we will be back. If we do, we will likely visit for the bar and appetizers.

You know it's good when you pull up the establishment and they have not only a long line, but also a paper dictating what is sold out, which they update on a 10-15 minute interval. Waiting in line is the most time consuming part of this experience, as we probably waited 20-30 minutes to get to the front to place our order - which is good sign! You can definitely formulate what meats and sides you want as you get closer to the front. Parking for the restaurant is a bit difficult, I think the only options we found while visiting was streetside, and we were fortunate to find a spot only a block away. I could totally see it being impossible to find parking when it gets really busy in the area. Once you get your food, there is plenty of seating, from high tops, to booths, to tables, to outdoor seating with a fire pit. We got a good variety of items, which I'll review a couple down below: Brisket: A good brisket with a nice visible smoke ring. Similar to the pork belly, you can tell the skill of a barbecue restaurant from how their brisket is, and this brisket is delicious! Really meaty and pleasant smoke flavor. I think we did get a leaner cut of brisket as there wasn't as much fat to help with the leanness. Beef Cheek: A delicious cut of meat that melts in the mouth, and has a pleasant smokey flavor. Out of the three cuts of meat, this one was unfortunately salted the heaviest. The first couple of bites are delicious and really delicious, but it goes really overwhelming the more you eat it. If you order this, definitely get some sides to help. Pomegrante Pork Belly: A solid BBQ pork belly that has a pleasing fatty crust with a meaty interior. This is what I would consider a good baseline for a reputable barbecue restaurant. It is advertised as pomegrante pork belly, but I unfortunately wasn't able to taste any flavor of pomengrate - maybe a tiny bit in the glaze/bark but that could just be attributed to the sugar. Mac and Cheese: A pretty comforting side! bechamel sauce is really creamy and fully coats each noodle. The noodles were at the sweet spot of soft and having enough integrity to hold their shape. Cherry and Rhubarb Cobbler: Wow, this is an amazing dessert! I haven't had a cobbler where they added cardamom to the crust before, and I think it works spectacularly. The cardamom gives a nice floral taste to the crust, which is complemented by the tart and fruity filling. I think this is one of the better if not best desserts I've had a barbecue shop, and the small tweaks made were creative and delicious! In the end, I think we paid about $100 for everything you see here. Having been to a couple of BBQ places, I would say that it is pretty standard pricing. Good BBQ does take a lot of effort and it does come at a premium. Outsider BBQ is absolutely delicious - if you are looking to get some comforting food, they definitely have you covered. I would totally revisit to try their items that got sold out (missed the beef cheeks, need to try those!) the time we visited!

You order at the front, you bring it to your table, and you bus yourself. The first time we went, we actually left but most of the items were sold out, so we came back a week later and earlier in the day. The also close quite early, around 8 or 9pm depending on the day. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's communal. We got the Pitmasters that serves around 4-5 people, there was 3 of us and we ate the rest the following day. I loved the ribs and the pulled pork sandwiched between a piece of bread and a pickle was delicious.

The line inside was about 6 deep but it moved fast with more folks piling in as fast as customers left. To our disappointment, there was a sign saying they were out of some items which was fine because there were other delicious choices available. I had the pulled pork sandwich, my husband had the brisket sandwich. We also ordered 1/2 doz wings, sides of baked beans and mac and cheese to share. The meat on both sandwiches was moist and flavorful, I could only eat half since I indulged in wings and sides. The beans were a little smoky and a little sweet. The mac was cheesy, saucy, and creamy. Take out, approx $57 total w/ tax and tip, totally worth the $. Can't wait to go back to try their other offerings.

I actually ended up coming here 2 days in a row because I was in the area with some friends coming back from the Tulip gardens and I wanted to show them the place though the line was much longer the second day. I think the BBQ is good, the pork ribs are better than the brisket imo and the sauces are okay. We tried 4/6 and ranked are: 1 - Cole slaw 2 - Mac & Cheese - this is a bit on the runny side but works well with dipping the bread in the sauce 3 - Potato salad 4 - Brisket Baked Beans We didn't try the brisket chili nor the creamed corn. ~~Parking: It's located at the end of a strip mall and there's plenty of parking though the lines are a bit faded and it's not the most even so both times we ended up parking closer to the Subway side but it's not difficult to find. ~~Service: Good. Most of the wait is just because you order and wait for your food prior to paying for it & finding your seat compared to how most restaurants you order and they bring the food to you which is a model that I would have preferred but I guess this one works well for this place because I was wanting to try their daily special of the hot link but the person right in front of me ordered the last one. After paying it's primarily a self serve place. ~~Best Part: The sides! All the sides we had tried were good and we only ended up ordering the trays because they came with the sides and I was doing girl math. ~~Worst Part: The wait to order the second day & the fact that I saw the person in front of me order the last sausage. ~~Tips: The sides are the real star of the show, so try them! ~~Return: Yes.

The chicken had a fantastic mesquite seasoning, paired perfectly with a pickled jalapeño aioli that added just the right balance of heat and tang. The bun was fresh and held everything together without getting soggy, which made the whole sandwich even better. I went with the mac and cheese bowl, and it was pure comfort food done right. The rich, creamy cheese sauce over large shell noodles was excellent on its own, but adding brisket took it to another level. The cornbread crumbles and potato chips added great texture, and a drizzle of Buckshot Honey BBQ sauce tied everything together. Every bite was loaded with flavor. What really stood out was the owner working behind the bar. He was attentive, friendly, and genuinely engaged with guests, constantly checking in and making conversation. You can tell he takes real pride in his restaurant, and it shows in both the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommend Buckshot Honey. We're already looking forward to coming back and working our way through the rest of the menu. And hopefully that chicken sandwich special makes its way onto the regular menu soon.

BUT I do agree the meat was quality and the challah bread bun was absolutely fabulous. The venue was incredibly dark with eclectic music - definitely did not make me want to spend much time hanging out and I couldn't wait to leave. If we try it again, I'd do takeout as I did not want to be there

One of the more beautiful cheeseburgers I've seen in a while. Just a happy, crowded, community with kids running and playing around on the old golf course and family and friends enjoying the outdoor tables in the evening sun under the old growth trees. Everything you love about living in the PNW. Burgers are solid, fries are creative and crispy. Chicken sandwich has too much sauce (almost like a chili sauce, like a sweet glaze with a little kick). Chicken Caesar was good - wish I had as much chicken as the salad did with the salmon. That said, it was a terrifically fun place and I'll be back.

The outdoor seating is the real star here--relaxed, spacious, and blessed with peekaboo views of Mount Si that feel like a little reward after a long day on the trail. It's the kind of place where you can kick back, soak in the fresh air, and let your legs recover while still holding onto that mountain vibe. The food is just as satisfying--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want after burning some calories. Everything we tried hit the spot, and the menu has a great balance of hearty and lighter options. Pair that with genuinely friendly, welcoming service, and it's hard not to feel taken care of. All in all, South Fork is one of those rare spots that feels like part of the adventure, not just the afterthought. Perfect for refueling, relaxing, and stretching out a great day outdoors.
