I've had versions where the celery flavor is very prominent, but I thought this one had a lighter flavor since the celery had been chopped smaller. The rice had less of a bite than other étouffée I've had and was similar to regular rice, which I like. There was only (2) plump shrimps and several tiny but well-cooked crawfish in it, but I understand that's what is available right now. The shrimp and grits comes covered with a creamy sauce and slices of andouille sausage. I had a bite from my sister's shrimp and grits and thought they were pretty good but creamier than the other dishes. The grits were kept more basic as flavors of the sauce and meats were already heavy.

They made a Thanksgiving dinner for 90 employees on Friday of this past week and hand-delivered to our plant. Everything from the turkey and ham down to the fixings and the banana pudding was so delicious! It was all seasoned perfectly and the plant (always hard to please) was really impressed. Everything Cajun Smoke makes is seasoned to perfection and hits the taste buds just right! Marc is our neighbor and he occasionally sells plates. His diversity of food; Cajun food, BBQ, and holiday meals... all to die for! You have to try it!

I'm not even sure if it's fair for me to write this review? I've been a Sonic fan since I was 7…read moreyears old (aka THIRTY YEARS). For sure if my seven year old self had gotten to come here, I would've been bouncing off the damn walls in delight, pointing and screaming at things, tugging my parents' arms. As an adult, I still found myself posing with the character standees for selfies and grinning at the cute food packaging and giant colorful wall murals. *w* The grass flooring and theming the establishment as Green Hill Zone was way past cool. They had a couple consoles and flatscreens set up so you could game while you were there or waiting for your food. They were playing music from the games over the speakers. It was pretty neat. The pricing is a bit ouch. I would've loved to order a few more things (like a slushie), but I couldn't justify that kind of expenditure, even on my fave blue hog. x_x The employees were kind of nonplussed which... damn, again, teenage me would've felt like I'd gotten the raddest job on the planet were I working there (this would've been peak Sonic Adventure-era, bee-tee-dubs) and I would've served things up at Sonic speed with his signature grin. Idk, I'm just saying, it would've been really cool to hire some employees that were actually into it. I wanted to get a shirt, but they were all out of smalls. Got recommended to get it through the webstore instead buuut $9 shipping on top of an already overpriced tee? Ugh. Being a collector of merch is not viable nowadays sadly. I got chili cheese fries and I will say that it was a mega-sized helping. Could easily share with a friend. Taste was... mediocre but I wasn't actually expecting the food to be good since you're really going for the experience not the grub. Anyway, neat little thing to go do in the area while it lasts, since this is a pop-up. I missed out on the one in LA, so I'm glad I was able to hit up this one while I was in Houston. I hear tomorrow the mascot will be making an appearance for Sonic's birthday, along with Shadow's motorcycle. Cool to see these kinds of unique promotions happening for SEGA here in the States, cuz usually Japan gets all the cool stuff!

They were posted up in the parking lot right next to service & in a rush to make it for my service appt, I didn't have lunch so it was right on time! First off, I love their setup. It's owned by a nice young couple. The wife has a little table setup where she has the menu & takes payments but their trailer where the guy cook from?! I love it. They took a standard trailer & setup a pit and a cooking station and covered it. Kudos to them on that! On to the most important part, the food! I got the Boudin Sausage with Red Beans & Rice. The sausage was smoked perfectly, juicy and had good flavor. The red beans & rice were well seasoned, perfectly cooked and went down well in every bite! I also got the lemonade which also tasted great. Definitely recommend this spot & looking forward to see how it grows!

By no means am I a vegetarian by any means but I had gone to an Omakase tasting with a friend to…read moreneohtx and one of the people working there had suggested that if I am going with a friend who I am comfortable sharing foods with then I should get the vegetarian menu. I am so glad I listened to her advice because it was probably the best vegetarian tasting menu I have ever had. Period. Both, the vegetable and degustation menu had the same first, third and fifth courses which consisted of the salade, bouillie de farro, and crème pâtissière. My second course was beets whereas the degustation consisted of tilefish. And the fourth course for the vegetarian menu was "lions mane mushroom" while the other was quail. The salad's description was frisée, citrus, savory potpourri. The description did not do it justice. The rose water addition to the salad was so reminiscent of the qorma that I grew up eating at weddings in Karachi. The African seasoning that was added to it tasted like pepper but much deeper notes. It was also floral. They said it was rose water but it honestly tasted like arq-e-ghulab which is rose water but not the kind that I find in stores in your average ethnic stores in the US. It was my absolute favorite course of the evening. I wish I would've taken notes when they were describing the dressing to me because I would love to keep it in a jar and have it on a luxurious weekend dinner. In between came a surprising savory madeleine with cheese. The madeleines had a nice garlicky flavor which blew my mind and so I had to ask what was in the cheese that really brought it all together and made it feel like I was having fireworks in my mouth. The cheese turned out to be Comté. If you are lucky enough to eat at Littlefoot before the pop up closes its doors for good, be sure to really enjoy every course because it's phenomenal. The beets were delicious and looked like a really sexy dish. The capers somehow made a complex delicious pairing with the braised greens. Everyone who knows me knows that I do not care for capers but these were extraordinarily delicious paired with the dish. Contrasting with the beets was the fish that was part of the other menu. Once again the beets won! Next came the farro which was like a Persian haleem (not the South Asian variety). It reminded me of having breakfast at one of my Iranian friend's house back in Los Angeles. It was so hearty but didn't feel heavy. I hope that makes sense. The onions on top were slightly charred and the cucumber that was in it really provided a nice reprieve from the heaviness of it all. The lions mane mushrooms felt like a very rich dish with the cauliflower purée at the bottom. It did not taste like meat but I have never had a mushroom that was cooked like this and it had a very filling and heavier feeling than most mushrooms. Definitely not your average portobello shroom. The sauce was rich and you almost got the sense that you were having steak. In contrast the quail was perfection and I am a little sad that I couldn't opt for that option for this tasting lol. The crème pâtissière was fine. We got some coffee to end the evening. The camembert and apricots at the bottom with the syrupy interior oozing out with every bite. I can't remember what we paired the dinner with but it was not the recommended pairing. We did get to taste the natural orange and it was of an Eastern European origin. Not sure if I would get that again but it did pair nicely with the intended tasting. I wish it would stay open for a bit longer so I could go back again and again!

Every single item was delicious on the menu but some of it was a little salty and my husband's fish was chewy and over cooked. The highlights were the farro which was perfectly seasoned with this to die for onion brûlée. The quail was well cooked. The dessert was absolutely amazing. The bread course with the little Madeline shaped garlic breads was finger licking good. The fried shrimp appetizer was salty but had a good crunch. Overall a great experience and happy to have tried it!
