The service was great. A friend and I went around 9 pm, on a Thursday, but they only had chopped brisket and Texas trash even though they are open til midnight. From what we tried, the chopped brisket was good, but wouldn't be our first choice. The Texas Trash was wayyyy too salty and I wouldn't get it again for the price. I would say it's a saltier Chex Mex. Nonetheless, we had a great time talking to the bartender and got the gin and prickly pear Moscow mule as well as the espresso martini. The drinks were good. I'd go back for the drinks, convo, and if I were to take someone out town here. The ambiance felt cozy considering it was raining and was pretty late at night. It's a smaller venue, but with outdoor seating. Overall, I would take come back again. read more

Everything about this place was great, drinks, service, food and atmosphere. My family was in Sargent on vacation and there's not many food choices there, we found ourselves going to the lake Jackson area a lot for meals, and the Fill Station was our best meal of the trip! Will be back for sure!!!!! read more

Great service and amazing food! The atmosphere is modern and relaxed. Highly recommend the burnt ends and the chicken

This place is super charming. We sat inside because it was chilly. Ultimately, I am glad we did because people were smoking in the tent/patio. We asked about the food. They were out of Turkey and pulled pork. I ordered the Bernie Mac which is a burnt end sand with Mac n cheese. The BBQ sauce is delicious. The Mac in cheese is creamy and delicious. The burnt ends were a bit on the hard dry side. (Maybe I have only had different types of burnt ends, because they were burnt and moist, with a bit of fat. )These were dry and hard. Not my fav, but they had good flavor. The bar area looked good. I want to go and have a cocktail and try the pulled pork. The Mac-n-cheese is worth coming back for. And the iced tea is good. Very nice BBQ place. read more

Very unique BBQ place with great food and great service. Would recommend and would eat there again. Setting is what you would think what a BBQ place looks like. read more

Great spot! Stopped on the way to the coast. Brisket juicy, sausage nice and easy flavor. Sauce is okay, but meat can stand alone. Let's talk potato salad ... this is where the last star is missing. On the mushy side, too much mustard. Needs some flav. Not the worst, just not the best. Good craft beer selection and bourbon, bourbon and more bourbon. You want it? They got it! Atmosphere/vibe right on target! Staff friendly and prompt. Great tunes and my favorite is the Bobcat catching a Pintail duck! read more

Always enjoyed the brisket plate . However for whatever reason tried the nachos very disappointing. Hardly any brisket on chips all cheese very bland. Sorry for complaining but not worth the same price as meat plates. read more

Picked up lunch for 2. The service was great. Nice open air place with tons of liquor if you are into that. I would give it a 5 star review EXCEPT - my sliced brisket sandwich was light on meat and what it did have was really fatty. I know what a good brisket sandwich is and this one was not good. My grandson got a sliced brisket sandwich too but I didn't inspect his. read more

We loved our meal at The Fill Station. Our waitress, Scarlett, was friendly, helpful and delightful. She said it was her first week working here but we couldn't tell. She was a real pro. In fact, maybe the best waitress of all time. As long as Scarlett continues to work here we will be regulars. read more

Service was fine, did the job but not welcoming at all. Chicken was dry and tasted old. Brisket was overwhelmingly fatty and nasty tasting. Ribs were good. Contacted management (because of good reviews, I was a little thrown off) and they were very off-putting and didn't care. Definitely won't be back, I would avoid. read more

For small town BBQ it's decent. It isn't the type of place that you seek out but if you want BBQ and work in the area it's a decent meal. What really bothers me is that all of a sudden they are charging for BBQ sauce and water. I've been ordering water at restaurants for years and this is the first time I have been charged for water. I've also never heard of a BBQ place that charges for BBQ sauce. I mean I guess if I order extra that would make sense. I know times are tough but charging for water and BBQ sauce is nuts. **Please do a better job of training your servers. When I ordered my 1/2 pound of burnt ends and 1/4 pound of sausage I asked for bbq sauce. I didn't ask for extra. When the server brought the table 4 saucers of sauce I assumed this was what came with our order (I was with colleague). If at any point I had been told this would be extra I would have declined as I didn't even use one saucer of sauce. I've never had this issue before at DJ's. My colleagues and I will go there from now on. read more

Shredded beef and ribs - Amazing texture and flavor! Cole slaw - Awesomely crunchy and refreshing! Moscow mule - perfectly blended, just right for a sunny day (or any day) Warm and attentive service, food came out quick and with high quality. Clean and spacious, we were comfortable dining here with our whole family. The Fill Station is now one of our new favs in Lake Jackson read more

Good, simple food, pleasant ambiance and excellent service. Will be happy to visit again when in the area..burnt ends

I had the burnt ends and a side of Mac and cheese and slaw. The burnt ends were not good, like giant pieces of well done pork. Not much flavor and super chewy. The bbq sauce is boring. Mac and cheese and slaw is okay. It came with sliced bread. Very disappointing. read more

The Barbecue Brisket & Ribs were excellent, the beans were soft, flavorful, and complimentary to meal. The potato salad was wonderfully prepared. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. A great lunch experience. We will be back! MHG read more

Customer service was great. My server was pleasant and helpful. Everyone was attentive and friendly. The food, however, was just okay. There wasn't anything necessarily wrong with any of it, it just tasted bland. I got the chicken with two sides and a baked potato. The chicken was good but not memorable. My sides, beans and green beans, were very bland. They tasted like they were straight out of the can and nothing added to it. My baked potato was disappointing. Maybe they forgot to add the butter but it was just dry. read more

Burnt ends and fries are the best things there. It's worth 4-stars. The bbq sauce is nothing special, the nacho is weird Spicy, sour, and orange. Green bean salty. Kids won't even eat their chicken sandwich. People come for the whiskey but they are not consistent in filling up the cup. Some people will get half cups vs some get full cups. The baked potatoes look good but we didn't try them. They get our orders mixed up every time we come. read more

I had a Great dinner at this BBQ joint. It's hard to find a BBQ place where the sides are just as good as the meats. My only complaint was some of the brisket was a little dry but the fatty pieces were delicious. Pork Ribs and Sausage were my Favorites. Mac and cheese nice and creamy. Potato Salad was more mashed. Which I actually prefer. Beautiful Day sitting outside with some Great BBQ. read more

Nice atmosphere, seems like it would be a nice place to meet up with friends and coworkers. The food... have you ever been to a place that was just ok so you don't go back for a long time then one day you are like let's try this place it's been a while. Yep, I remember why I haven't been here in a while. We ate it but it's definitely not anywhere near the top in any competition. read more

So glad we found The Fill Station. Beer Bourbon and BBQ TX style. And a great big shout out to Laura for helping us navigate the beverage selections and providing overall fantastic fast and friendly service. Exceptional tasty brisket and pulled pork. Smoked nicely - not salty or hidden behind spices and sauces. The baked potato is big and also full of flavor. What a value. Indoor/outdoor casual dining with an Excellent selection of beverages. No kidding - they must have a couple hundred bourbon and whiskeys to choose from in addition to a variety of beers and drink specials. Try the TX 2 Step and the George T 1 bourbon 1 shot and 1beer. What a great place! read more

The food was pretty good. I had the chopped beef sandwich and my hubby had the frito pie (actually really good). The place is new, so I'm sure they are working out the kinks. the bathrooms leave a LOT to be desired. The alcohol is pretty expensive, only one TV and it is inside, no heaters though it was cold and open to the elements. Service was decent but the server seemed to look down on me for ordering a mixed shot (they have lots of fancy whiskey and I guess that's their schtick) and he made a snide comment which was a turn off. They did have some neat cocktails (and adult juice boxes), but I didn't get try many. All in all, the whiskey selection is great, but the selection of other alcohol is average. Id go here again but probably just for lunch until some of the kinks are ironed out! read more

I tried this place because I wanted a change and to try their BBQ. I got the bbq potato thinking it was going to be a good portion. I got one dinky little scoop of beef and basically no butter. I asked for more meat and I got another scoop. By the time I finished (like 3 minutes) I was still hungry and over half of the potato left. The portions suck with the price. The music blaring everywhere also reduces attention from the waitress, and I had to stand up looking around until she came back with my check. This place is seriously not worth it, and I had to get a pizza immediately afterwards. One and done. read more

Wow, pleasantly surprised that this is much more than another BBQ place. We really liked the atmosphere and the service was great. We sat at the bar and we were very impressed with the bourbon/whiskey selection. They even had specialty drinks (I tried the Eagle Pear ) my favorite appetizer...the brisket nachos. I love that they use the blanco cheese. If you order one of the BBQ plate, be sure to get the smoked sausage. It is authentic and very good. we will be back to try more. read more

Amazing bbq and bourbon selection. Loved the ribs and burnt ends! Order the peach bourbon drink. Vibe was super cool and service was great.

Love this place, but stay away from the beef ribs. Maybe I got a bad one considering I have heard nothing but good things. I expect that if you pay $25 for 1 rib there would be some meat on it. I got ALL fat. Told them I couldn't eat it and gave it back, and ordered pork ribs. (Very good), but they still charged me for the $25 slice of FAT. Love the place and glad it's here, but I'll just avoid the beef ribs. read more
