Surprised for sure. It's a big old tiki bar in the middle of Surfside…read more But someone forgot to tell the chef that, because that group knows how to put stuff on a plate! Appreciated an assortment of non alcoholic beer also! Had the tuna which had a Greek/Mediterranean flare with Kalamata olives, peppers, plum tomatoes and feta as well, the grilled shrimp entree. Both served with asparagus and rice. Both fantastic. Would definitely be in trouble 20-25 years ago as I may have just sold grass skirts on the ocean and called it a day. Within walking distance from Surfside jetties and beach. Would not recommend doing one without the other. Two different patio bars. Clean and highly attentive staff. 3 different servers participated in our meal. They know they get it done when they have the confidence to serve your meals with plastic silverware. Keep a fresh catch on the menu as well. Just terrific. WELL DONE!

Unfortunately, we came during a huge event and the wait times were outrageous. Sitting and waiting…read moreto see a waiter for an hour and about hour and a half just to get food. When the food came out, it was lack luster. The fried pickles were just fried air- not a single pickle in there so i don't really know what was fried. The red fish was bland, the grits lacked flavor, and the salsa on the fish tacos completely overpowered all other flavors in the taco. I don't plan to visit this restaurant again. I offered two stars because our waiter, which was the bartender, was kind and the best part of our experience.

Two visits and I have really enjoyed both. First, this place is hard to find since there no signage…read morethat can be seen from street and barely from parking lot. It's the sister property to a larger sports venue next door. You will only find the name of the lounge written on the entry door. My visits were driven by a desire for a place to have a coupe of drinks and enjoy some music and the Lounge at Six works for me. The bartender did an excellent job on the cocktails and single handed served the entire room. You can order food (Thai Cuisine) that comes from the sports bar next door. Thai food at a sports bar isn't typical but the menu is large and I haven't found an item I didn't thoroughly enjoy. If you don't want the energy of a sports bar stick to the dark setting of the Lounge at Six.

This is hidden kind of a place. Still has old restaurants name on it. Barely anyone is in the…read moreLounge area. Neat place. I was in the lounge area and had read so many reviews and so wanted to give it a try. Though this strip center is surrounded by many restaurants. We tried Thai as it says it has authentic Thai. Hostess was nice, it was obviously open seating. Thai menu seemed elaborate and was taken by their chef, who was doing everything, looked like, cooking, serving etc. starters were ok, we got shrimp cake, and Thai dumplings. I won't order dumplings again. For entree we got Thai basil and drunken noodles or pad kee Mao. Not much spice or even hint of basil in Thai basil chicken. To my surprise noodles were thinnest version when pad kee Mao is basically and authentically made with wide rice noodles. So nothing more to say. Hope new restaurants keep short menu, but offer correct food instead of having everything and undermining guests.
