This is quite a place! Getting right to the food: the Stuffed Jalapenos were great with the spicier of two included dips. (Wish we'd gotten two cups of it instead of Ranch.) In my Boudreaux Cajun Sampler, the Crawfish Etouffee was spectacularly good, the Red Beans & Rice were tasty, and the Seafood Gumbo wasn't really to my liking. Another of us had the Cajun Cream Penne Pasta With Shrimp and quite enjoyed it. I like how they ran electrical conduit around the interior seemingly in decorative fashion; it reminds me of a fence. Visiting Angelton and our friends took us here for lunch. It was delicious! I got the fried oyster platter. The oysters were lightly breaded so you could taste the oysters. Good fires and Cole slaw too. Hubby got the Cajun boil and he enjoyed it. The shrimp was spiced just right and the sausage was really good. He enjoyed the hush puppies also. Boiled crawfish & pepper Jack boudain balls are delicious!! We went last night and they just ran out of crawfish. I ordered the shrimp po-boy with fries and a side of comeback sauce. Excellent food. The deep, rich chocolatey roux is incredible with large, tender chunks of chicken and sausage. It reminds me almost of a good chicken stew, but with a more complex broth. I would not be surprised if the red beans are Blue Runner. But I don't mind! Blue Runner is consistently good. The only thing missing was a buttered and toasted end of a po' boy roll. Honore's serves Texas toast, instead. I mean, that ain't bad, I guess... The servers and counter workers could be more welcoming. And the lacquer on the picnic tables inside make the tables seem sticky and dirty, even if they are clean. (To be clear, the table was clean. And there are good diner-style tables available.) Maybe cover the picnic tables with vinyl tablecloths? I can't imagine they would clash with the atmosphere of the place. Speaking of atmosphere, the tables are well spaced out with ample seating for a Friday lunch crowd. The building resembles (and may be?) a converted manufacturing shop, with extremely high ceilings covered in old corrugated siding bathed in an LED green cove light accenting the supports. Stained plywood (?) cover the spans that support the structure. I've never been to the restaurant at night, but it throws off the vibe that the place gets rowdy after the dinner crowd clears out on the weekend. I could imagine the addition of a stage, a sanded dance floor, a few pool tables, and a couple shuffleboard tables. It made me very nostalgic for places I hung out in my early adulthood. I love the food and love the place and want to give five stars, but management could make some minor improvements to "front of house". Now that I've had some "standards" there a few times, my next visit will include one of their unique house specialities. Check out their menu. read more

You order at the desk so they do not have waitstaff but there is a lady thank walks the floor asking if you need anything. This review is based on a sandwich and not any of the Cajun options. Cool place with a nice vibe. Staff super friendly. I got the chicken sandwich w fries. The chicken didn't have much flavor but their "come back" sauce was really good! Fries very average. I think the bun had a slightly sweet flavor, that was nice. I would highly recommend toasting the bun on the griddle (maybe w butter) to crisp it a little. I had to add the "chacheries" type seasoning to add a little flavor. Food wasn't very warm. Not offended, not impressed. With all this being said, I would definitely come back so to try the Cajun options as that is probably where they shine the best. read more

Honores has expanded from the Manvel location to a second location in Angleton. We were excited to get another Cajun restaurant in our town. The crawfish were big and juicy. Arrived at 2:24pm at Honore's Cafe' placed our order by 2:30p and self-seated, cafe is/was moderately full and offered indoor,outdoor and bar seating as well. My wife and I selected a table for four people. There are picnic table style seating as well. Our order consists of Bowl of Seafood Gumbo ($10.99), Hackberry (Combo of Catfish , Shrimp & Fries ($21.99)). Mrs says the catfish is hot and flakey but the meal is definitely over price. My Gumbo is large quantity, hot, spicy but soupy. I prefer my broth to be somewhat thick! They readable board menus hung on the wall plus counter menus at the registered. The crowd is diverse (blacks, latinos & whites)! Mrs purchased a hurricane beverage at the bar. Bartender was friendly and the beverage was okay and within normal pricing guidelines. Honore's do need additional help yet the employees appeared to do the best they can!! read more

Forgot to take pics but wow!!!! just went tonight and It was the best place so far since moving to the area!! My Louisiana heart is so happy!!! Spicy but not too much and the flavor was amazing! We got 6 lbs of crawfish, potatoes, boiled eggs, redfish Lafayette, pep Jack boudin balls, and kids chicken bites. Food is very good! A taste of home! My favorites are the red beans & rice, fried catfish and shrimp! The Penne pasta not too shabby either! I haven't had any seafood boil yet, but plan to on my next visit. Really enjoyed dining here. I love that there is a choice of inside and outside dining which is a plus. The only drawback (why 4 star) is that I wish there were awnings on the patio to protect patio diners from heavy winds. We had to move a couple of times because the wind was blowing our utensils away. I know they can't control the wind, so it may seem unfair. It's hard to find authentic Cajun food but this place has it! I had the crawfish po boy with red beans and rice. The bread, sauce, crispy crawfish, fresh lettuce and tomatoes all combined in the sandwich was beyond spectacular. My brother had the gumbo and it tasted just like my Cajun grandma made it. My mother had the boudin and you could tell it was real boudin not the store bought that's mostly rice and a mystery meat, in theirs you could see the differmt mean it had in it! I highly recommend this place we will be back if we ever pass through here again. read more

Never disappointed! Seafood pastas are fresh and nicely seasoned. Fried shrimp has just the right amount of batter. Burgers and fries are great, too.
