In my Boudreaux Cajun Sampler, the Crawfish Etouffee was spectacularly good, the Red Beans & Rice were tasty, and the Seafood Gumbo wasn't really to my liking. Another of us had the Cajun Cream Penne Pasta With Shrimp and quite enjoyed it. I like how they ran electrical conduit around the interior seemingly in decorative fashion; it reminds me of a fence. Honore's was a great find, and we'll likely return in spite of the objectionable universities hailed on their walls.

If you're from Louisiana and are looking for authentic food, steer clear of this place. Nearly everything on the menu is fried and the grease needs changing. You can tell they're not really from Louisiana by the seasoning. Bland bland bland. Standard fish fry seasoning and nothing more. The hours are inconsistent and the place isn't very clean. Service is standard Freeport, which is to say awful. Food takes a long time to make and the owner, when she's there, is very defensive if you complain. If she's not there, good luck because there's no one in charge and no one who can resolve anything. The staff are clueless.
