In fact, I feel they were being served past the point of needing to be cut off. The bartender was also using language that was surprising to me for an establishment that is a restaurant more than it is a bar. Wow! Was so excited to hear that B.O.B's added the Impossible Burger to their menu! This is a perfect vegan addition to our community! Really nice atmosphere, the joint is much bigger inside that I would have expected. A lot of dining space; our service was great and the meal was delicious! Just a horrible night out. Never been to one of these places. Was passing through. Atmosphere- Had one group of drunks cussing very loudly. Three tables in the area with small children. Two left because of these A-holes. Kept serving them... The food - ordered a draft Miller Lite. It came dressed. WTF? No thanks but didn't see the salt until I was going in for a gulp. Shocker!!!! Sent it back for a plain beer. Anyways, I ordered a full size salad, cowboy ribeye (medium rare) with extra shrimp. My dinner date had a house salad, and surf n turf. EVERYTHING came out at the same time. Steak was medium at best and paper thin. If I started with my salad, steak would be cold. Asked the waitress and her excuses were not my problem. Sorry the kitchen was backed up and some orders were wrong. Not my fault. I ate my steak and shrimp only. You can bet ur backside I will never be back to that place. Love the Honey BBQ wings here. They are always very meaty including the Wingers and Drummies. The funnel fries with chocolate sauce and caramel is the best dessert I've had in a long time. The service here is always great. They keep your glass full, belly full and on Friday nights fill your heart with laughter. Why. Why did I even bother to try again. The food is horrible. Even the water was hard to tolerate. I do enjoy the TVs and friendly service and that was the only saving grace. I was craving chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was tasteless, but the worst part was it w the s so dry. We ordered a side of rice and even that was as sad. Pour rice didn't even come with butter or soy sauce or any seasoning. WHY? why did I waste my money, my time? We tried this place about 4 years ago, and it failed us now and then. My brother and I went here to eat tonight and were pleasantly surprised. He hadn't been here before and I hadn't been in a long while, so we revisited Beef's while in town for Thanksgiving. The crowd was a lot lighter than the last time I was here, surprising for a Saturday night over Thanksgiving with multiple football games on television. Well, it turns out that things have changed in the Lake Jackson restaurant scene since we last visited as there is a new wing place in town. If you weren't already aware, Lake Jackson is one of those places where, once something new in the way of a chain restaurant opens up, everyone abandons the old place and goes to the new place. Some survive but many have faded away over the years. I hope that's not the case for Beef's because they're still a good option in the area worthy of consideration. Service was prompt and friendly. We were greeted at the door immediately and taken to a clean booth. The restaurant was very clean. Our server was very friendly and patient, as it took us a while to figure out what we wanted. The beer selection was expansive and it took me a few minutes to decide while reviewing beers on the iPhone. There were a lot of games on the screens on this night and they were all working well. There really isn't a place you sit in this place where you don't have a view of multiple televisions. We were watching the Auburn/Alabama game which was on several TV's. The food arrived right on time, not too early and not too late. The place was pretty dead when we were here, so I'd imagine they could have had our food out in 5 minutes if they wanted us out of there quickly, but they kept a good pace and we never felt rushed. I had chicken wings and my brother had the grilled shrimp dinner. Both our entrees were very good. The 8-piece chicken wings consisted of 7 drumettes and 1 wingette...most places tend to do a more even split and charge extra if you want all drumettes. I don't really care which wing section I get, but the majority of my wing portions being drumettes made eating with my hands easier, for sure. The ranch dressing was very good, celery was crispy, and napkins were right on the table. My brother's shrimp were all purged and/or deveined and the rice was good. All in all, Beef's is a decent option in Lake Jackson. The televisions and beer selection alone merit giving this place consideration if you're a sports fan, not to mention uncharacteristically good service for Lake Jackson, a place known the world over for its surly service at restaurants. This place was great and made our dining out experience for our Thanksgiving visit very pleasant. read more

My wife ate here for dinner last night. We go there quite regularly for their wings and a cold beer. I think that's the only thing we've ever had. Their 2 for $20 is a bargain. I was told this was a family sports bar. I have ordered food a couple of times on Waitr, but last night was the first time I sat at a table in the restaurant. The music was a good volume, but I didn't realize what was playing until after I ordered our drinks, and I felt obligated to stay. The food was excellent, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. As we ate, I realized that this establishment caters to a younger crowd. A family sports bar apparently plays Tupac and Lil Wayne. I don't know why the manager thinks gangster rap is familial, but to each his own. After my meal, I had to use the restroom, which was a mess. The faucets were covered with corrosion and lime deposits, toilet paper littered the stall and tiles were missing from the walls. The owner should check on their investment. Covid practices are worse than other restaurants in the area. They pick and choose who has to wear a certain kind of mask. Some walk/stand around in the "Rona zone", aka the entry area, with no mask. Others are not allowed to the "Rona free zone", aka tables, unless they have a certain kind of mask. Not sure what that certain kind is, didn't stick around to find out. It's gotten to the point where we come in and our favorite waiter Matthew Hulett has our drink order in before we even sit down. He even remembers that we like our water warm! Sometimes we can't decide what to order and Matthew ALWAYS comes through with a personalized suggestion that we end up loving. Although Beef 'O' Brady's is a chain of restaurants, this particular franchise is special in that it is highly dedicated to community service. They give free or discounted meals to public servants (teachers, firefighters,etc.) and also participate in national service projects like Project Hunger. Another reason why I am a fan is that they have about 30 taps, half that can be considered craft. $3 Texas pints on Mondays include premium brews like St. Arnold icon series and Karbach Rodeo Clown. You will not find those prices any day of the week in any part of Houston. The food itself is nothing special, but also not terrible. read more
