My friend and I have eaten here a few times. Today, we came back for dinner and wanted to try out their boiling crawfish. They have a special boiling crawfish deal: five pounds for $25. The crawfish was good the service needs more attending to customers our waitress we needed to keep asking for more drinks and my husband ordered miller lite beer with lime and they charged 25 cents for each drink which I thought was odd because other places don't charge for the lime. The food prices are good I ordered the chicken fried steak didn't have great seasoning the mashed potatoes were little not enough serving corn was enough serving wasn't to happy about it. read more

Service was terrible this evening. My daughter and I walked in. No one greeted us or acknowledged in any way. We sat ourselves and watched as waitresses kept looking at us as we sat ourselves never saying we will be right with you or anything. Finally after 15 minutes a waitress was pointing to us and I waved my hand for her to come stating it's been 15 minutes and no one has come to see about us. They sent over one of the newer girls from other side of restaurant and she took our order. We both ordered crawfish. We waited 30 minutes and a couple come in and are greeted and told to sit anywhere. They sat next to us and within 10 minutes of being there we're being served by the manager on duty. At that point my daughter decided we had had enough and decided we were leaving. We made our way to door and as we exited the manager on duty yell you all have a good night. This felt very deliberate and like they didn't want to serve us and hoped we would leave instead. I will never return there as I had been there many times before but tonight was the last straw. What better way to bring in the new year than with crawfish?!?! We started with the nachos and bloody Marys on the patio until crawfish was ready. The nachos were not as good as what we've had before. The ground beef was not grounded enough as you can see in picture. Crawfish were nice size and good taste. Hubby had the cowboy burger. He only finished maybe half of it. Took rest of it home. That burger bun! Yummo!!! Mia, our server was probably one of the best servers we've experienced. Hope she sticks around. Stopped in for lunch today and was very pleased with the experience. The server was prompt and friendly and the food was very good. I had a hamburger steak with loaded mashed potatoes. The steak was good sized and was cooked to order. The seasoning was perfect and I liked that they topped it with sautéed onions. It came with an excellent brown gravy that was served on the side, something I really appreciate. The loaded mashed potatoes were topped with bacon, sour cream, and cheese and were excellent. They were basically a cross between a baked potato and mashed potatoes and will be my side of choice in future visits. Overall a very satisfying lunch in a nice, small town pub! read more

Where does one go to escape the bright lights of Beasley? -right down the road to NeedVEGAS and PUB36! I had a pal pass though Texas yesterday and I met him at the nearby truck stop. Already familiar with your location in Stafford, I could not wait to give this guy a little taste of Texas and you guys did not disappoint. We had frosty beverages, and snacked on a few things (that menu is really impressive) and really did enjoy our fellow customers and Sammii Jo behind the bar as well. Will recommend. Can't tell you how many chances we have given The Pub 36 in Needville, TX, but I think today did it for me. Went for lunch because my husband wanted crawfish which their sign says they have, however it's only available after 5pm. My son order chili cheese tots and they tell him they're out of chili, this was at noon, how can you be out? I order Acapulco Chicken, the avocado slices they put on top were brown/black and the rice pilaf tasted funny. There was one waitress for 7 full tables and one bartender with 4 people sitting at the bar. When we were looking for our waitress, she was busy waiting tables and did a really good job and the bartender was sitting at a table playing on her phone for at least 15 minutes. She never once helped the waitress. If your lucky, you'll eat there when the owner is there and service will be good but if he's not there you take a chance. read more

Have always enjoyed the food, but we went on a Thursday night for 25 dollar 5 pound crawfish. Took over 30 minutes to get our overcooked crawfish. Husband had ordered corn and potato. Asked about it several times, never got it. Not sure what problems they were having or the waitress was new. The table next to us had 12 or so people. When she finally brought their beverages she spilled them over the table on three or for people. They had been there 30 minutes before they got that! After having an amazing burger, I unknowingly left my wallet in my booth. My house payment (in cash) was in my wallet. The owner tracked me down on Facebook to let me know they had found it and he put it up for me. He kindly met up with me to return it me and absolutely everything was there. The menu was presented with mildew on it. After our drink orders were taken, the waitress was not seen again until she brought our food an hour later. A table came after us, and was given their food prior to us. The food, is actually not bad here. However, the service is awful! It's lack of management... earlier in the summer on another occasion had to wait two hours for crawfish because the staff stated she forgot to put the order in. The manager was no where to be found, and the staff never attempted to help out by admitting she messed up. The restaurant is never clean (I.e. the mildew in the menu) it needed to just be thrown away. read more

We've been coming here before it was called Pub 36. The service is consistently hit or miss. We were seated right away but then waited for 10 minutes for our server despite the fact that 2 other servers kept walking past us. Once our server showed up service was decent. We were there specifically for the crawfish special (4lbs. for $20). The crawfish were on the small side but that's to be expected at this point in the season. They were pretty good with decent seasoning. I'm not really a "suck the head" kinda girl, instead I'm more of a dig the hook out of the head girl but in doing that you can really tell if the crawfish have been purged and I felt like weren't. The one thing I did not care for was that the corn and potatoes were cooked separately from the crawfish so there was no flavor. Now I did like the squeeze bottle of butter . Waiter/waitress are all very nice and bust their butts. Management/owner is the problem. Consistently has only one person working the floor. Who puts only one person on the schedule during the lunch rush. 12 tables (one has a party of 11) and only one waiter. He's having to manage bar, table orders, delivery of food, refill requests, closing tabs. This place needs help. It's a shame the owners don't provide more employees to make it a more pleasant experience. Food is decent. read more

Drove 20 min to check this place out and have a couple drinks with my wife. Checked online to make sure they were open till midnight and they were. Showed up at 9:50 to be denied service because they "just called last call". Tough to make a profit when you close early on the busiest nights of the week. That was the second time. So disappointed in this dry order of nachos. The little cheese you see of top was all the cheese that was on the entire nachos. When I go in to pick up my order, everyone walking freely with no mask. When I went to the pub 36 I was upset by the treatment from the manager and the owner of the place. My friends and I went inside and ate dinner and had a few drinks. We decided to hang out outside for a little while. While we were outside we noticed that the older man who we assume is the owner began taking pictures of us. We noticed this when his flash accidentally went off and he smiled in our direction. We found this quite uncomfortable and honestly very creepy of him as he had no idea who we were and we had no idea who he is. As a young woman I was very upset by this and I would like everyone to consider this when they choose to go here in the future as I don't know if it is a safe place for young women. However, I have been coming here for over a year and this is the first time I've experienced something like this. read more

Awful shrimp tacos and service! The menu says corn tortillas but they came out on corn tortillas with no explanation or apology the flour tortilla was so tough you could not chew. The bait shrimp did not taste good and there was no seasoning to cover the tasteless shrimp. Clearly awful! To make things worse the personality and excitement of welcoming us was ZERO by Sara (based on the receipt bc she definately did not introduce herself). After the waitress took my plate I saw her stop and look at the 1 bite of 1 of 3 tacos (literally 1 bite of 1 out of 3 tacos) but she never asked about why or offered to replace the food or remove the charge.
