Well I didn't like the service today. Cozy eating area but ordered two of the two meat plate and didn't get the order correct and the condiments and bread were not complimented. No ketchup I had to ask for a lot of items even the pickle and onion that comes with the barbecue plates. I paid nearly $60 for three meals I just thought the priority wasn't given for my order for what I paid. Normally the food is walked out to dine in guests and the plates were not distributed together and some food was cold. Need to improve for the prices charged for plates. Please give your employees a refresher course on fractions. My experience in Nov of 2024: I ordered one third lb of sliced brisket, because a quarter lb. is not enough and a half lb is too much. I was charged correctly for a slice of pecan pie, 3.99. However, with the price per lb. currently at $14, I calculate a third to be $4.66, so I was slightly shocked when a girl told me that my order was $22. and some change. I simply told her, No,not $ 22. for 1/3 of $14 and a 3.99 pie plus tax. It was sad to see 3 employees have a brief consilt to determine the cost for my order. On to the food choices (so many good things to offer). I went with the brisket, smoked sausage, Ranch potato's and bake beans. Wow it might have been some of the best Brisket I have ever had and I'm 100% sure the best ranch potatoes. They are a must try. The service starts at the front door with a smile and "Can I help you" Then comes the ordering which is easier with friendly suggestions from the staff and a look at the food being served. We shared brisket, sausage, turkey, and chicken and thought that all meats were very good. We shared these sides: pinto beans, fried okra, cole slaw, ranch potatoes, & potato salad. The pinto beans were full of flavor, but the show-stopper was the ranch potatoes! They were a delicious cross between twice-baked potatoes and red potatoes in a cream sauce.
