I love this place. The staff is very friendly and accommodating And we love their green salsa. So much better than the tex-mex around.

The service and food were both amazing! By far the best!! Thankful to the young lady at the Baymont for suggesting it!!

Better and better! Service still excellent and food is delicious! Our only question was why we hadn't been back sooner.

Polite service. Food was okay. Menu is mostly shrimp dishes. There is a charge for waters.

Awesome food that's fresh and delicious. When in Clute or Lake Jackson it's my go to for fresh fish.

There's ambition in the variety, though not always cohesion. Seafood leans heavily on tilapia, which appears disproportionately across the fish selection. Not inherently negative, but noticeable. The ribeye, priced at $33.95, carried mixed execution. tender in parts, but inconsistent with noticeable dry sections. The scallops arrived cold, which significantly disrupted what should have been a highlight dish. Service was not the issue. Atmosphere was calm, controlled, and easy to sit in without distraction. The space itself does not fight the experience. it simply holds it. In totality, the restaurant lands in an uneven space: capable, sometimes enjoyable, but inconsistent in execution where it matters most. 4/5. good, but not well. -L.T

We had a good time with our server John that tended the bar around 9:30am that we decided to stay at the bar. Though a few hiccups with our food. Not a big deal considering how busy it was. We loved the ambiance we loved the team work. As busy as the staff was they never showed frustration! Food was delicious. We Recommend this restaurant and will DEFINITELY be back. I've been to Asiel's twice this month…read more The first time, I went with my husband. We got there on a Sunday around 11:30am, and it was packed. We had to wait about five minutes for a table. Our server was very nice. He came to our table not long after we sat down and took our drink order and brought our drinks out quickly. Then he took our food order. My husband had a party melt and I had the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes. I also ordered two scrambled eggs. We did not have to wait too long for the food. A young male server brought us our food, and I told him I was missing my eggs. He said he'd check on that and never returned. By the time our server came, I was done eating so I said no to the eggs even though he said he would go get them. He also apologized profusely, and he seemed genuine. The food was good. It wasn't the best I have had, but it was decent. The prices were decent as well. The second time I went to Asiel's, I went with my 10 year old daughter on a Friday around 11:45am. It was't at all busy. There were maybe like three tables with two people each. My daughter and I waited almost five minutes for someone to come seat us, but no one ever came or even acknowledged us. I won't go back to Asiel's after this last time. First forgetting my food and not bringing it to me after I let them know I didn't receive it and second because we were not acknowledged at all even after waiting close to five minutes to be sat.

You must be 21 years old to enter. There was a wide range of ages on a Friday night when we were there. My group had a range of 49-55 years old and we fit in comfortably. There were a few older but mostly younger than us. However, we did not feel out of place given the age mix. Kicks does have a strict dress code. It seems to be enforced because I did not see anyone dressed in a way that broke the dress code. Make sure you read their website on the dress code. The dress code includes both women and men. It also includes a ban on pocket knives of all kinds. There is live music Thurs-Sun. The sign on the door says the doors open at 8PM and entry is not allowed after 1:30AM. The band that was there when we were there played three sets. During their breaks, the dance floor was still packed while music from current country hits were piped through the speakers. There was a good mix of couples and line dancing. The floor can get really crowded but fun was still had by all. Security seemed to be present and aware at all times. I was pleasantly surprised with the lack of heavy smoke. The smoke seemed to be much heavier in the pool table area but I did not venture to the back to see that area. The dance portion of the club seemed to be relatively smoke-free. I did not see anyone smoking in the dance area. I'm not sure if it isn't allowed or if it was just coincidence on this night. Bottom line: Kicks is a fun place to kick up your heels is you like to country dance. They had a good mix of partner and line dancing. If you like to country dance, you could have a good time here.
