When the Armadillo Ball Room closes down years ago it was devastating because Kicks sucked! That was under old management when there were fights every night, and smoke everywhere in the place. Under this management they have added a smoking area and kept the rest of the place smoke free, did an amazing job at remodeling, and started keeping the trash out by keeping very strict rules in place regardless of who you are or who you know! This place is hands down SO much fun! They've really run off the riff raff so there's never a worry about fights or frightening situations. It's a great place to meet your friends or go on a date. Awesome bands and it's non-smoking. Big dance floor! The pool room in the back has a juke box and tons of tables - and smoking is allowed back there. They have two bars and beautiful CLEAN bathrooms! The staff is always super friendly and sweet. I recommend it highly! read more

We decided to go to a country club to do some country dancing. I've been here once before and figured last night wouldn't be any different. Well I Looked up and saw a confederate flag hanging smh Ridiculous at a time like this.. We left and now we know what they support. I refuse to support any thing that supports racism. I've been going to kicks for over 10 years. Jason and his wife have completely turned the place around. It is the only place I will go to have drinks and dance. I go very often and always have GREAT service and everyone is always friendly!!!! I highly recommend going if you haven't! They do enforce dress code and safety which I highly like as well!! read more

If you want to be harassed, aggressively attacked verbally, told "they will be waiting for you by your car" later that night to do something to you. Objectified because you're a woman. Told to leave by owners (after they high-fived harasser) bc you defended yourself. By all means go to this disgusting, unsafe environment. read more

If you want to be micromanaged about volume of speech, the direction on the bill of your hat, or any other rediculous things this is the perfect place. If you want the county police to follow you into the parking lot and threaten public intoxication for vague reasons, then this is the right place for you. read more

Boy i tell ya what this place is nice. This is the spot to be at after everywhere has closed. I personally choose this place over pier 30 because i can get my boot scoot boogie on without being judged. Great place for karaoke and also they have awesome band nights and the staff is A1.. read more

I used to really enjoy kicks. I don't understand what's going on with the owners now. The wife Tiffany Turner is super rude and hostile. Her husband seems to back her up by banning people who question her lack of professionalism. Don't waste your time or money. read more
