    BBQ Burger
    Benita G.

The BBQ burger was so delicious the meat was incredibly soft, tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The burger was loaded with a generous amount of meat, making every bite satisfying. Definitely one of the best BBQ sandwiches I've ever tasted. I just tried their mobile food truck, definitely will be going to the restaurant! Highly recommend!

Food was amazing. Try the elote! Service was excellent. Ambiance was casual and comfortable. It was our first time here but we will definitely be back.

Small little barbecue place that I was very lucky to find. But definitely worth the drive. When I went in there, they had a great selection of food, but I would suggest to come early because they run out of items by the end of lunchtime. But I can understand why, their food is so good. Brisket sandwich was good size and extremely tasteful. Served fast too.

Tried this place's food truck at the Butler's Courtyard Block Party. The brisket sandwich was fantastic! The brisket was perfectly cooked, juicy, flavorful...I mean it was how brisket should be! I could not have enjoyed them more. So I looked them up and will be tooling on over to Santa Fe to checkout their restaurant! Additionally I love this place is Veteran Owned (thank you for your service!) AND locally owned.

Have you all missed me?!?! ***wink wink*** That's my attempt at winking with letters and not using an emoji. lol Just in case you HAVENT missed me... I've missed you all... if that even matters to anybody. Lol As many of you already know... I DO ACTUALLY OWN A TREE & LAWN COMPANY... I be busy, people... sheeesh... lol I actually got a private message from somebody asking me why I wasn't writing reviews anymore?!?! I really wanted to respond with... ummm... I actually do have a life other than food reviews... but of course... you all know me... I'm the most positive person you'll meet... so I did what most reviewers would do... I wrote them an ENTIRE book explaining why this is my busy time of the year with trees... and so on and so on... BUT... ENOUGH ABOUT ME... as if you all cared about all that. I know you all saw that SUCCULENT DELICACY of a BBQ plate and said... hold up hold up hold up... WHERE IS THAT FROM?!?! Well... Let me tell you... DRIFTWOOD BBQ in Santa Fe, TX!!! Uyyyyy... guys and gals... you're in for another treat of a BBQ place. Many of you actually told me I HAD TO TRY THIS PLACE... so I obliged. Today I happen to be in the area and said... "Well looky here... that's somewhere I was told I needed to try." And let's just say... as I'm writing this review... I'm one HAPPY camper!!! Ya'll... first of all... and you know I usually start with the food... BUT... The friendly and welcoming atmosphere that you feel when you walk in, is amazing... you simply know you're about to have a good meal, no matter what's on the plate. A lot of the times, I've not mentioned it in my reviews, but there are places where you'll walk in and it's almost as if you're disturbing them or something. But not at Driftwood... I can truly say that I felt like they actually wanted me to be there and enjoy their delicious food. And enjoy their delicious food, I DID!!! Ya'll... I'm no photographer by any stretch of the imagination... so I know I didn't do it enough justice with my pictures... but ufffff... Brisket was juicy and moist... just enough fat on it for my liking... The sausage was tasty with every bite... The ribs were mmm... mmm... GOOD!!! The spicy BBQ sauce was also pleasantly delicious... I kept wanting to bathe everything in it. And to top it all off... that chocolate muffin... I swear if my diet allowed it, I'd eat one every day... (That was my sweet tooth talking. Sorry about that... lol) But yall... all in all... I would FOR SURE recommend stopping by Driftwood BBQ in Santa Fe, TX. Tell them THAT TREE GUY'S REVIEWS sent you. Here is their information (since I always forget to post this info in my reviews) Driftwood BBQ 3805 FM-646 Santa Fe, TX 77510 (409) 270-2036 I don't know the exact hours they are open so please call ahead. If you made it this far in my review, as always, thank you so much for the support. And if you didn't make it this far... ahhh... at least you started to read it. Lol Thank you and God Bless... - THAT TREE GUYS REVIEWS

We have been here several times, always good. This visit we tried their double bone-in pork chops that they offer every other Saturday. Absolutely delicious! Their sides are some of the best anywhere. Give them a try - you won't be disappointed.

I pass by it every week when I head to my teaching internship, and I occasionally get Facebook posts about its events. I visited Three Acres for the first time last Friday. The venue hosted an event honoring teachers and nurses (both received 10% off their orders with their ID badges). Expectations met. The vibe here is that of church picnic, outdoor festival, and family get-together. About five or six food trucks set up shop so deciding what to eat was a good problem to have. I intend to come back when the park hosts its first-ever karaoke night this coming weekend. It's in my Filipino heritage to pick up a mic.

The wellness clinic was offering vet services at a discounted cost, which is absolutely amazing. There were multiple food trucks present, and everything smelled great. They have a concession stand with a pretty good variety of beverages, most had alcohol (just an FYI). I was confused by the website, as I read it that the picnic tables needed to be reserved, but you could bring your own pop-up chair. When we got there the reservations of the picnic tables was not the case. Perhaps that is only for special events? I did see that some of the events had an event fee, so those reservation requirements may only fall on those dates. A lot of picnic tables. A lot of space to put down a picnic blanket or have chairs available. There is a small playground for children, and there were a lot of play toys (balls of all sorts - basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc.). I am not sure if those belong to the site or if people brought their own. There is a little stage where a musician was playing live music. There are highball tables up by the concession stand area. The parking lot of very large, gravel. There was a little plastic pool that was filled up with water and ice for pups. I am not sure if that belongs to the site, but after the dog adoption people left the pool stayed. The only negative was that there is only one women's bathroom at the time that I visited. Luckily it wasn't too busy when I went, but I could imagine that would be a nightmare. All in all - it is a very cute place. They are active on their Facebook site and their website and they have some YouTube clips. Nice concept.

So we ordered a brisket sammich and waited in line for 30 MINUTES!! We got to the window and turns out it was THE SAME MAN WHO TOOK OUR ORDER OUTSIDE IN THE DRIVE THRU who was making the food! No wonder it took so long. The man then asked us if we wanted a baked potato because now they were ready. We were prepared to wait another 20 minutes for the potato. It took 26 seconds (yes I timed) so WHAT was taking so long? There were only 5 cars in front of us when we ordered. Concluding, the baked potato was pretty decent. It was actually mildly scrumptious, and I say that with consciousness to my behalf. Not sure why the same person who took the orders cooked the food; especially if Axel posted on here about their mom getting fired. That's awful to fire someone if you're low on help anyway. And took the chefs, I recommend seasoning the brisket. Usually people like seasoning, I don't know. The salt and pepper wasn't sufficient for me. I had the three meat and two sides, the brisket was great, the turkey was superb, and the ribs were the cherry on top. My wife had a baked potato with ham, she really enjoyed it. My son had a rodeo burger and he love it. My daughter thought her chicken tenders were okay. They have a table up with all the fixings, pickles, onions, jalapenos, etc. I had a cold shiner bock with my meal. The food was a solid 8.5/10. The staff was 10/10 very friendly people. We sat down and my son was praying for our meal, the server bringing out the cook to order part of our meal waited for my son to finish praying before she approached our table as to not interrupt. This was extremely courteous and I can tell you it is not the norm. We are fairly new to the Fe (approaching 4 years), and I think we found a go-to spot for bbq. If you haven't tried it, don't sleep on it, get on in there and get your hands dirty with some bbq sauce.
