This place is a Joke ! I bought a sliced beef sandwich. It had two pieces of meat on it very little sauce.. Thats a one and done for me... couldn't see the meat for the bread . X Thanks for your Service and Good Luck I wish they had a different way to grade. I guess it's just a mistake that there was not the correct weight of meat on the Sandwich. Small little barbecue place that I was very lucky to find. But definitely worth the drive. When I went in there, they had a great selection of food, but I would suggest to come early because they run out of items by the end of lunchtime. But I can understand why, their food is so good. First time for me at Driftwood. Everyone was nice and welcoming except the girl at the counter. She didn't seem like she wanted to be there. I ordered the turkey plate. They were out of slaw, potato salad, and bbq beans. I went with the charro beans and Mac and Cheese. They did give me what was left of the slaw, which was nice. The two pieces of bread on the plate were dry and stale. The turkey didn't taste smoked to me. The Mac and Cheese was my favorite. The beans looked good but have no flavor unfortunately. The ambiance was basic and no frills. The bbq sauce on the table said spicy. It was not spicy at all. It had a very tangy tomato flavor to me. read more

Placed a to go order today. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I ordered a sliced beef sandwich thick cut moist and it was absolutely delicious and they prepared it exactly as I requested. I look forward to trying more of their menu the only thing that I did not care for is I ordered a tea to go and they charge you almost 4 dollars which I thought was a little crazy but oh well I'm gonna focus on the food and just not order a drink from there next time but great job driftwood Barbacue and thank you. Some of the absolute best BBQ in Galveston County. Veteran/Family owned, the owners and staff are tremendous people who care deeply for the quality of their food and the community they're in. We've eaten here quite a bit since they opened and have yet to order something we didn't love. Our go-to is the Meat Sweats, more than enough to eat and have leftovers for the next day. Went in today didn't realize kats bbq wasn't there until I pulled up but I said I'll give it a try I had tried their food truck when it was at the college of the mainland one time didn't have a good experience there but gave it another shot I went in staff was welcoming even gave me a piece of brisket to try so that's what I ordered a brisket plate $20 but 2 pieces of brisket was kinda underwhelming for $20 but Mac and cheese was good but my only complaint was the brisket portion other than that I'll be back for it!!! read more

We decided to try Driftwood BBQ in the hopes that some of the staff from Kats BBQ (Driftwood took over this location when Kats closed) had remained and the BBQ would be the same. Sadly, this was not the case. We ordered the 2 meat plate and chose the sliced brisket and ribs with the smoked green beans and bbq beans. The brisket and ribs were just ok. They both lacked but were still tender. The smoked green beans tasted just that, smoked, just like they were dumped out of the can and put in the smoker for awhile. The BBQ beans had ABSOLUTELY no seasoning whatsoever, plain as can be. The kicker came when we were being charged $4 for 2 cups of TAP WATER..I can just imagine what bottled water would have cost.
